  1. I think it is worth making the point that the death spiral started when Thomas was removed from the team, being ineligible for the cup QF. Thereafter, he’s had a few poor sub appearances and was equally poor against Knob End but we were probably more of a threat and better balanced with him starting and the subsequent results are a matter of record.
  2. You’re very probably right but I’m really fixated on luck and we are getting none. However, the short sleeves will get a run out against Luton and hopefully, this will ensure a win and then to Millwall, to secure a play off spot 🙏
  3. I’d just like the chance to find out 🙏
  4. Or the goalkeeper cheating 🙈
  5. Might even pay Malmo for Anel A now, should have been pints deduction.
  6. That looks like West Brom gone. We have a very outside chance but I can’t see beyond Coventry and Mowbray’s lot, that will be really hard to stomach 😡
  7. If folk can’t attend for health, economic, distance or other practical reasons, then of course they are still ‘proper’ fans. I just find it surprising that people would choose not to go and support their team in such a match on a can’t be bothered basis but apologies, I genuinely didn’t mean to cause any offence.
  8. Cork should have already been on a yellow, irrespective as to whether you deem the second, to be a yellow or red card.
  9. Admittedly, there is something in that but I like his enthusiasm and think he is doing a good job, despite the similar death spiral. We don’t score enough goals, probably aren’t quite good enough but a blind man could see that we simply have had no luck or favours.
  10. It was lovely to feel Ewood rocking again, with Blackburn Rovers fans. From my vantage in the JWL and having seen the ground plan sear sales before, I was very surprised with the crowd, I thought more like 20,000. It certainly felt like it, credit to all proper Rovers fans, who got out of their armchairs and turned up, to support their team and try to make the difference, heroic failure.
  11. One plus for me is that JDT doesn’t belittle our club. He looks like he enjoys the job and is privileged to have it, despite his fantastic career and world class pedigree. The journeyman from Middlesbrough, seemed to resent every minute he spent here and that he was doing us a favour and and made you feel like slitting your wrists in his pre and post match monologues.
  12. You haven’t missed anything. This is the detail that only Greg B and Rovers can provide and why, I believe he hasn’t given the promised post appeal interview. The Arbitrator’s report clearly shows that Rovers had no case but the reason for the delay and what they were up to, whilst Rome burned, can only be clarified by Broughton / Rovers.
  13. I’m really surprised that he is found a club in any of the 4 divisions with a worst set piece record and staggered that somehow statistics suggest we have scored 7. I can’t recall half that number !
  14. And almost certain that one of them, Willem Tomlinson is a Dingle 🙈
  15. He promised a further, more in-depth interview after the appeal process and I’m still waiting. If you promise to do something, you must follow through with it, no matter how difficult or uncomfortable. As it is, like you I have read the Arbitrator’s judgement in full, so I have all the detail I need to confirm that the abject failure was all down to the incompetence of officials at Blackburn Rovers.
  16. We never seemed to get a decision. Just a few off the top of my head: the Cardiff goal pulled back for a pen, the Buckley red card and in last week, Coventry handball, Cork ‘red’ and Barnes handball. It doesn’t appear to even out, like we are cursed 😡
  17. I’m not blaming the manager, he’s worked miracles with the tools at his disposal. Let down by Broughton / Waggott and if backed, he will likely get us there.
  18. The view from a Ribble Valley living room, packed with Dingles and errant Rovers. Some valid points but still can’t understand why as a Rovers fan of sixty years, you elect not to support your club when most needed.
  19. The long sleeved version got its debut at Dumpdale and after much consideration, a second chance again last night. It won’t being worn at any future Rovers fixtures ☹️
  20. The only thing I lay at JDT’s door is the limited use of Adam Wharton, post his Blackpool debut. Over a season, especially one in which we have struggled to create and score, playing him would definitely have garnered additional points and seen us in the play offs.
  21. I thought we played well last night but the old issues killed us, the final pass, poor crossing, no one brave enough to take a shot on and the beyond dreadful set pieces. We are so bad that corners and free kicks provide us with no offensive benefit at all, it is just woeful. I really like JDT, he has done well but just hasn’t been given the tools to do the job, the January window fiasco was criminal.
  22. Another for Hirst tonight in a key promotion battle. I don’t think he was ever the answer but he didn’t get many chances and letting him go without bringing a replacement in was a huge mistake.
  23. I think we are cursed. After the recent Sheffield, Coventry, North End and tonight’s match, we just have no luck and never seem to get a decision, it’s heartbreaking and seems unfair. I was really happy with the player’s effort and the support from the crowd was fantastic. The concern was that we dominated large chunks of the match and yet I can’t recall a clear chance or working the keeper. Contrast that with the Dingles one shot and a goal, why the hell do we not ever take a punt on shooting 🙈
