  1. Let’s hope he is reminded of this and r”rights his wrongs 😊
  2. I think the lad has been a bit unfortunate, with timing of injuries etc when he might have got a chance. Seen him play very well for U21’s this season and think there is a combative player in there. All I ask is that he doesn’t do what he did at Peterborough last season 🙈
  3. Wouldn’t mind one of these, reminder of the historic legacy provided by Rovers to Madrid and Bilbao
  4. Let’s see how we get on without him. Not an overwhelming success and certainly cost us a few goals but I think he gave his best and expect he will have a decent but unspectacular career, once he leaves Liverpool.
  5. Anyone know how many tickets sold for tomorrow ?
  6. Make the play offs, get promoted and beat them next year 😊
  7. I’d rather make the play offs, neither of your scenarios guarantees it.
  8. I know you have been following Rovers for 60 years but can’t believe you have elected not to go tomorrow and provide your support, when most needed. Should we all stay away and wrap ourselves in cotton wool or stand up up and be counted, rather than be bullied or finding excuses not to support our team.
  9. Yep, almost immediately after his leaving gift, a last minute winner again, FFS
  10. I got a tap on the shoulder at the end of the match from chap behind who said he had liked listening to me and that I certainly knew my football. He then introduced himself as Steven Pears, Ainsley’s Dad and the ex Boro keeper. I’d twigged the smoggy accent when exchanging pleasantries and caught him grinning when I’d suggested that JDT was a breath of fresh air and that Mowbray made me want to slit my wrists 😂 Asked on our chances, he said we just don’t score enough goals.
  11. Why Kaminski, what had Pears done wrong 🤷‍♂️
  12. Fair point, it didn’t help.
  13. Yes, I don’t think Mowbray signed any of them, maybe Geldhart on loan.
  14. Thanks for that, not in peace 😡
  15. Better the WBA winning but Sunderland now in with a great chance as well. 7 points from our games and Millwall / Sunderland can’t touch us but Coventry and West Brom could. Mad that to be mathematically certain, we need 9 points.
  16. Get in, 1 1, wish the Ref would now blow up.
  17. JDT has worked miracles. If you must blame folk, start with the referee against Coventry and Hedges, Scott W and Hyam yesterday.
  18. We can only hope and pray. ‘Belief is all’ is one of my pals favourite lines.
  19. 1987 we made the play offs by beating Champions Millwall, 1 4 at the Old Den. A similar result would do nicely. The last time was the win away at Plymouth, which relegated them and we got promoted through play offs.
  20. A racing certainty, Coventry will have everything to play for and Boro will just be fulfilling a fixture, prior to their play off campaign.
  21. I think you’re probably right but as it currently stands, before today’s West Brom match, we can only guarantee a place with 9 points. Highly unlikely but I can see Coventry getting two wins and so even a 7 point haul doesn’t see us overturning them.
  22. It could change after the West Brom match today but at this point, I think we need to win all three to guarantee a place. I expect Coventry to win both and so only 3 wins puts us above them, that would give a place irrespective of how many points West Brom muster.
  23. I think JDT has worked miracles and would be gutted if he left because of the lack of support from Swag and Broughton. A little help in January and we would have already secured our play off spot and potentially, with O’Brien and a competent striker, may well have pushed Sheffield. We still have hope, despite these blows and the hand that fate appears to have dealt us and by Christ, we are long overdue some luck and a play off place.
  24. Unlucky maybe with the slip and where the ball ended up from Hyam’s boot. However, Wharton had the option to take a foul but decided against it and Hyam’s was a pretty wild swing of the boot. Both should have done better but of course, Hedges brain fart was what really cost us.
