  1. I watched The Wrestler the other day which I thought was really good, one of the best films I've seen for a while, you wouldn't have to be a wrestling fan to enjoy it either.
  2. This ebay shop below has a few Rovers shirts, nothing special though. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Soccerprint_W0QQf...bZ6966272QQtZkm
  3. The Wrestler is a must see for anyone. Watched it yesterday and was really taken in by it and thought it was fantastic. One of the best films I've seen.
  4. Anyone with a pair of eyes can see he is overweight and not match fit. He's our player now for the forseeable future so hopefully he can pull his finger out and get his act together to try and get back to the player he once was and possibly still can be.
  5. Certainly was interesting not even to see him on the bench, could well be a deal in the pipeline, especially as Villanueva played well and it looks like he will be playing as a forward for us rather than a midfielder. Derbyshire also scored a couple so McCarthy could be even further down the pecking order, rightfully so.
  6. What are we going to do with this guy? It seems that in his first year he was a fantastic signing, a regular goal scorer and looked to be a real bargain. Caused constant problems for defences and was a real match winner for us. Last year his head got turned over a potential move to Chelsea and he was very much hit and miss, losing his place to the lesser talented at least technically Jason Roberts and being shifted from the limelight thanks to the new man on the block Roque Santa Cruz. This year he doesn't seem hit and miss, he just seems miss! We haven't seen a lot of him to be fair but in pre season and his brief appearances he has looked overweight and lacking any passion or determination. He is showing no fight on him trying to earn his spot on the team and reports suggest he is happy to leave for first team football. We've reportedly turned down bids for him, which has been confirmed by Ince, don't know how much the bids actually were but at the moment it seems crazy to turn down any offer north of the £2.5 we paid for him. At the moment he is a striker who is not mobile and will only look good with the ball at his feet inside the box, we should cash in and let Robbie Fowler do that job because honestly what's the difference between them at the moment other than the fact that at least Fowler has been working hard trying to earn a contract for 6 weeks and training for free, at least showing some commitment and determination and a will to play for the club. The danger of losing him would be that he rediscovers his hunger at another club and we look a fool for selling him but at his age it's going to take a lot for him to turn it around, if we can find a buyer abroad we should let him move on so that we can move forward as a club. How can a player go from getting around 20 premiership goals and attracting the likes of Chelsea to being completley useless and arguably 3rd choice striker at best at a upper mid table club in a little over a year. I only want players who are hungry to play for Blackburn, who will try their best at all times, even if it is only a 5 minute outing. He looked so disinterested against Hull. There are so many fine lines in football, if he produced a bit of brilliance, fired in a goal and got us 3 points then he could have found his place back in the team and who knows what might happen but what upsets and angers me is that he didn't even seem to try.
  7. Bit harsh isn't it? At least Neill didn't say how much he was looking forward to the new season and working with the new manager and then leave only to tell his new beloved manager to buy some more of our players.
  8. Gone but not forgotten, a true legend. What a bloke, he will always be remember for what he has done for this club. Thank you Jack, RIP.

    Rovers Songs

It has to be done, we might want to adapt some lyrics to make it a bit more positive though! Funny thing is weeks ago when I first heard about him and was telling my friend about him I couldn't remember his name off hand, told my friend were signing a bloke known as pineapple head and he thought we were signing Jason Lee, haha I wish! Yeh that would definitely pose a few problems.

    Rovers Songs

There has to be some kind of song that can be linked with 'The Ting Tings - That's Not My Name' and Pedersen's (Gamst) ever changing name? http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/New...1360914,00.html Get creative boys.
  11. Wow what an epic battle tonight between two english legends! San Jose Earthquakes featuring Darren Huckerby take on LA Galaxy featuring David Beckham (If there both fit that is), wow what a battle between two legends!!! I'm tempted to fly out to the states, I can't bare to miss such a game!!!
  12. Barton is a disgrace, in no other job could he get away with the things he has done without being sacked.
  13. Better? I wouldn't say that, SFA are a top band no doubt, can't say that I've heard a lot of Divine Comedy's stuff. People concentrate too much on the attention Pete gets, the drugs, the crime, no showing gigs etc. He shouldn't get the attention he does for all this. If you forget about the person and just listen to the music though then he's wrote some top stuff. Babyshambles wasn't as good, but still some quality material in there, think his heart was out of it already by then. He's wasting his talent, he could be brilliant if he got his ass into gear, I mean truly brilliant, at the moment he never will and I agree he hasn't done it over a lasting period of time like the true greats are. I wasn't trying to compare him to the Beatles, there simply is no comparison with them, I was just trying to say thats the kind of scope your looking at if you think he's not talented at all. He clearly was, could be again, could go down in history as a genius, will more than likely go down as someone who wasted his potential and died too young. Steven Seagal? That did make me laugh!!! Fair play.
  14. I can some up an excellent counter argument to your comments with three words. 'You are wrong.' Have you even listened to Up The Bracket? I mean really listened? Next you'll be saying The Beatles and Elvis Presley were rubbish.

  17. Oh how lucky AC Bellinzona are to have Corrado with them By the way whoever it was that mentioned his cup winner, that was his first goal in over a year. I love the one snippet from Wikipedia about him "His brilliant season with Ternana saw him attract attention of various Serie A clubs, including Udinese and AC Milan. But apparently Luciano Moggi of Juventus, who had previously pressured Grabbi to change his agent and join GEA World with no success, made it impossible for Ciccio to play in Italy, so in 2001 he was signed by Blackburn Rovers for a record fee of £6.75 million in July 2001, but due to injuries and sheer lack of talent he failed to repeat this progress, scoring just once in fourteen games. Grabbi's move to Blackburn is widely regarded as one of the worst transfers in the history of the English Premier League" He makes Nathan Blake sound like a god!
