Doesn’t need to be a messiah. Mowbray is a very very average Championship manager.
-
Because he told him he would after the 11th-hour-and-59th-minute deal broke down in the 2018 Summer window?
-
Too injured to go down to the Rovers store to sign autographs! #prayforlewis
-
I think players like Holtby and Rothwell are punished for not playing the Mowbray way (I.e. defending) but out of ‘loyalty’ he goes public with injury and illness stories. He wants players like Smallwood and Evans who are less likely to take risks in search of a goal/win. He should stop buying attacking midfielders and trying to de-arte them!
-
Apparently he’s made of glass though.

The intensity levels are too much for the ex Premier League player!

We just need to start playing centre forwards in centre forward positions and stop this false nine nonsense. It was the same a couple of years ago with his three at the back fixation. He binned it and we started winning games. I think he and his team over-analyse the opposition instead of building on the strengths of our team - let alone having a recruitment strategy that supports the style of play he wants. No gimmicks, just a simple plan with everyone knowing their jobs and properly motivated.

We had big numbers when we played at Wigan 11 years ago. We lost 3-0 and Paul Ince was done...

Nice one Steve. Yes, of course my opinion is valid in my opinion. Another big IF. Actions speak louder than words.

This perpetuates the idea that Rovers are a small town club who are lucky to be in the Championship. Struggle to keep him? Who else is knocking the door down. We reduced that bloke’s career. Get out of our club!
-
The side effect of this is that there is no faith whatsoever in Waggott to do what normal chief execs would do. His history with Mowbray; the contemptuous way the club treats fans while he has been here; does he even have the authority?
-
It’s all the players fault and poor hapless Mowbray has to take responsibility. There are no managers out there better than Mowbray. Actually no, it’s Venus’ fault (maybe even Lambert’s still!). That really is some barrel scraping right there. Mowbray selects the players. Mowbray chose his back room staff, even promoted the guy. I’m surprised the finger wasn’t pointed at Damien Johnson (another few games before that one perhaps). Trying to convince fellow fans that there is no manager in world football ‘superior’ to Mowbray is delusional in the extreme (Is anyone at the club even contemplating a change? They should be). Does this fella have a mandate to put a positive spin on everything Rover no matter how controversial? If so, bravo. If not, then he really is a one-off, so it’s a shame that he will be seen by many as the voice of the fans.

January transfer window 2020

You should be working for the club. I don’t imagine our defensive scouts have ventured beyond Manchester! -
I feel that Mowbray has turned us into this. A small time mentality that he is bringing to the club that Jack did everything in his power to remove. Managing Boro and Celtic must have gone to his head. We are a town club but we are not a small-town, small-time one. Players never “ready” to play, the club “only just a year out of League One”, “building slowly”. He is a dinosaur of old school football with its “grand old” clubs like Newcastle and Arsenal. Imagine if he ever took us up? We’d be mullered every week - and that’s just by the mighty Watfords and Brightons. I daren’t even contemplate a derby with that lot!

It’s a temperature check at this moment and includes whether it not you think he should be given to the end of the season. If you do then you vote stay. It doesn’t mean you can’t take a different vote in future. Fanbases are fickle by nature. Three wins on the spin and the poll will change. Three defeats and people will reach their own thresholds before demanding change. A lot of people will still be holding back voting and that will tell its own story.

Almost certain to draw against the Nobbers to quell the unrest. Expect Evans to start. Defeats by Sheff Weds and Leeds are to be expected (under Mowbray). Barnsley at home. Don’t win that after less than 4 points from the next three and there may be a big reaction. But who’s going to listen? His friend and colleague Waggott? Suhail? Desai? Balaji?
-
Different characters with different motives but that comment in bold could have come out of the mouth of Kean himself. Not overly concerned if we don’t score goals. Is that bravado or because his future is utterly secure? Blackburn Rovers FC. The only club in the football league where results and performances don’t matter to the manager. Is it any wonder players underperform, apathy reigns in the stands and we have thousands of empty seats where fans used to be? Venkys approach to owning a football club is the problem but any manager who takes the money and patronises fans is complicit.
-
Apathy reigns. This is where we ended up under Bowyer. Bored with the football, disillusioned by results and excuses and bigging up the opposition as being tough before a ball was kicked. Players clueless and fearful. (Do we even have any kind of game plan let alone style?). The similarities are there. Then they sold all of our players to cover loan repayments or something an the coup de grace was when they brought in a credible manager to sell Rhodes without the peasants revolting. Here we go again. We just have to get through this really painful yet slow ripping off of the plaster.
-
We are miles away mate. We has our worst run ever (at least post-war I’m sure) last season and nothing happened. There won’t be a plan lined up for him to be replaced so the only way fans could force the issue is to make it personal and encourage Mowbray to resign. Now that really would be a sad and unfortunate way to go but it’s that or nothing.
-
I don’t think it will. I think Barnsley is the game. Equally, if we beat Barnsley people will back Mowbray.
