Season Tickets 2019/2020

Of course, Paul, if I can’t do it personally then I have to assume nobody can. So Waggott should admit that and walk then and we will save an expensive wage. You think it’s cloud cuckoo land to want ST prices, with a full outlay at the start of the season - with zero inspirational signings - in the second tier - losing to the likes of Charlton - at anything below £345? And you believe these people should not expect to have football as part of their lives? Wow. But you are in good company, so does Waggott. Sadly his current catchment demographic does not agree so we will continue to rattle along with sub-10k fans in a stadium built for three times that. The longer that continues the more chance there is of further stand closures or the continued crap atmosphere. A little imagination is needed to subsidise cheaper tickets or it will only get worse. That is exactly why I said my statement does not apply to you. -
He’s not tried Mrs Mowbray’s Madeira cake, or been to laser tag with the squad yet. Give him time to get up to speed!
-
You’ve got to hope so.
-
Even our ladies have had stiffer opposition. Our pre-season has been poor in my view and led to over-confidence.
-
That’s ridiculous to even call it an U23s team.

Keith Andrews STOLE a PL career.

Why do people keep saying “after one game”. It’s not about one game, it’s about another missed opportunity in the transfer window, another failure to fix the defence, another regression to the same failed formula, and experience says that he isn’t going to change his ways. Unless Venkys throw more money at him in January, it is another wasted season. Any manager following Mowbray’s spending bonanza tenure will be a pauper. And to think we nearly got Warnock.

The guy there is a regular at home/away games as well as development games. He has spoken to Bennett in person at club events - to the point that even Bennett knows his name. I know him by sight and name and have had a couple of very casual conversations with him. It’s one thing us anonymous folk being critical (within reason), it probably felt more personal. He also said a family member showed it to him. Still, players should not get involved in social media arguments. However, annoying it is, they need to switch off and ignore. Personally I like Bennett. I wish everyone played with his passion. It’s not his fault he is being played at full back. The question is, if Mowbray doesn’t rate Nyambe why hasn’t he bought a new one. He’s turning into a stubborn old man, surrounded by his mates (including above him). I wonder what influence DJ will be able to have in that environment.

This is what worries me the most. This exact same scenario has already happened before. Promotion from L1 has turned Mowbray into some kind of Midas but he just doesn’t have the Midas touch. I don’t want Mowbray to go... yet. I want him to stick to his word instead of telling the fans what they want to hear. He said that he knew the issues and would address the defence. Instead he replaced the keeper with a taller one and carried on with the same ill-thought plan: keep picking the senior players and let them get on with it. Downing is now another of Mowbray’s The Group. All we seem to have done this Summer (keeper aside) is upgrade Smallwood. Yet we’ve still given the latter squad number 6. Yes, I know, numbers, schmumbers, it’s a squad game, yada yada but it means he is still part of Mowbray’s plans at this point. The problem at this stage with bringing in Johnson and making Mowbray DoF for example is that they aren’t his players. We now have to see through this first three months and hope that something changes. Sadly Mowbray has shown this usually only happens when his hand is forced through injury or suspension.

The worst thing is, in our heart of hearts we all knew he would play that defence. He’ll probably put them all on notice after today’s game. Again.
-
Big big worry that. He has to drop Mulgrew. If he hasn’t clocked that and we’ve signed Tosin on loan to cover injuries to him or Mulgrew then there’s no hope. Mulgrew has been great for us and led us out of the third tier but we need to stop keeping players after their sell-by date.
-
I expect he is too.
-
Yeah, we’ve lost because of Rothwell.
-
If I were him I’d be on to my agent about a move. He isn’t going to get any change out of Mowbray. Johnson, Downing and even Gallagher will play before him. And while spend money so we can bench our best player, we don’t invest in our defence - despite all of the evidence. Will this be a wake up call for Mowbray? He is putting his reputation on the line for Mulgrew. The senior players have far too much power. On a side note, has Dack kicked the ball today?
-
Bollox!! ?
-
Rothwell to get his now customary 20 minute cameo.

Appalling. -
Trust me I’m enjoying it. You not at the game? I’m on holiday so I’ve got an excuse? What about you?
-
Nice one imy. ??
-
And none at the back. Good but if spin though. However... Gallagher is a known quantity no risk from Tony. Walton has to play. He was named number one yesterday. Johnson is the Smallwood upgrade. Yay.
-
Defenders are coming! Walton needs to be the business or Mowbray will look even more foolish than he already does. Only plus I can see is Smallwood isn’t even on the bench. Butterworth to go out on loan?
-
I would have but I’m not Mowbray! So Downing at left wing, Mulgrew still first choice and Gallagher straight in the side. Graham benched. Rothwell back to square one.
-
-
Switch Armstrong and Gallagher and I could see that being the team. Huge wrench for Mowbray to drop both Evans and Smallwood though. C’mon Tony, you can do it!
