Rodwell aside that’s looking like the team that used to lose us game after game in L1 - until TM scrapped it.

I know mate, it was a good link that’s all. Really looking forward to being wrong but this looks like being a shocker.

Here we stop, surely? That is the worst side that Mowbray has picked to date - by some distance. What are we playing, 6-1-2-1?? Mowbray comes out and says Brereton doesn’t have a problem with his confidence then drops him from the squad! Needs to stop saying one thing and doing another. Frightening. Bring on the 3-0 win!!

At the moment, Mobray’s sides rely on the fitness of the old guard. Mulgrew, Graham, Bennett and even Conway all playing well and it can be the difference. In some ways I think Dack needs this too. We keep replacing the team with youngsters but we need balance. Maybe after getting his fingers burned with Whittingham he’s reluctant to pay the wages for that experience, Rodwell is the nearest to that since - and he’s only 27. We also have a very young keeper in relative terms. Given that Mowbray appears to have already given up on the play-offs I don’t expect him to change much in January but we’ll see.

When you put it like that it doesn’t really seem worth it! Unless people think that’s better than risking a 5-0 or potentially winning 3-2...?

Lol. We can’t grow our own and when we spend £7m they aren’t ready to play. BRFC 2020/21 Championship Winners Runners Up (Although even that might be too soon for Brereton as he’ll still only be 21. Maybe the season after?) Hopefully now that our recruitment team are operating on full fuel they’ll start buying players that are actually able to play football this season.

It’s actually pretty damning from Mowbray and suggests we can’t compete by playing football. Yet at the same time it is his decision to play players like Evans and Smallwood ahead of actual footballers. That in itself means that he must feel our defence is very weak so surely he should be scouting two centre backs to replace Lenihan and Mulgrew?

I’m an 80s child - that means something very different! Like others I’m surprised at Chaddy’s ban. Didn’t see anything more annoying that usual. Unless the mods tidied it all up.
