  1. It's not what you have said Chaddy. It's what you DO. You have a track record of always siding with the establishment in any sport. Even you must find it hard to deny that.
  2. In place of who Chaddy? If you are thinking of dropping Moheen do you really think we can do without his batting?
  3. I must say that after my annoyance at KP not being picked I found myself supporting England in the test. After what Cook and Strauss did I cannot support them but after all England is my team. I don't agree with Bowyer's team selections but I still support Rovers. Whether or not it was a one off we shall have to wait and see but I find myself looking forward to Thursday in spite of the selectors. One thing I must say when posting. We have Ian Botham, David Lloyd and Geoff Boycott etc. and who do we get summarising? The most boring and droning voice on TV, Bob Willis. If that guy ever smiled his face would crack into a thousand pieces. The most humourless drone ever to hit our screens. Surely Sky can do better than him.
  4. Best put him on "ignore" roverzee pillock alert. Edit - There, that's better.
  5. Back again on the unprovoked attack. What a pillock.
  6. Clearly again? There is nothing clear about it except that it is personal from two persons with too much authority.
  7. How could I forget it you repeat it every time the subject comes up. Change the record. We all know that. You repeat it often enough. The subject is whether or not he should be/
  8. One innings - yes equal to about 6 innings from another player. What you would do is waste your time because the ECB stuffed shirts and Cook and Strauss in particular would not pick him if he scored a century every week, for purely personal reasons. It's the England buddies closing ranks because he criticised them.
  9. There you go again with your assumptions and generalisations. On what authority do you tell us that nobody in the England setup wants KP back? The truth is that you have no idea but you come on here stating it as fact. I know they no longer play but I know for a fact that both Ian Botham and Andrew Flintoff believe he should be in the team. His last county innings was a triple century but he was snubbed again. What would you do? That is playing second class test teams. Judge him against Australia and South Africa..
  10. No I will not. If Cook want's to keep him out of the side for personal reasons he has to make up the runs. Never tell me what to do Chaddy.
  11. Cook owes it to England to make a lot of runs. It's largely down to him that Pietersen was dropped. He has to make up for that. EDIT - Ooops! Out again cheaply. Wonderful captain!
  12. We used to call that "Angina Hill" Mike. If you get a par on there you have earned it.
  13. That's a tough course in the wind LD. I used to be a member there when my son was assistant there and it's a hard walk.
  14. Unfortunately a privilege not afforded to the motorist with no number plate on the cycle to identify it by.
  15. Not sure. I would have thought 12 but maybe we could get away with 8. Not sure how many the club kitchens would be looking for.
  16. Accy is a much better course but up to now there are only 3 of us. We need to have more than that before we can approach our clubs. Let's keep in touch on this.
  17. Further to the above if anybody wants to play but has no clubs I have a spare set that I could lend you but you would need a putter and a bag. Just a thought if it helps.
  18. I've been on PM with Mike and suggested that if we can get enough people interested I might be able to organise a golf day at my club (Baxenden) with reserved tee times and a meal in the club house afterwards. Before I approach the club I would need to know with some certainty how many want to take part. Bear in mind that this is a private golf club and a certain dress code is necessary. No denim jeans on the course and collared T shirts etc. Spiked shoes preferred. Please let me know by PM if you are interested. Please be sure as I need to know numbers. Ladies also welcomed goes without saying.
  19. I fear the worst against the Aussies GAV.
  20. But could he cope with my electric trolley?
  21. They allow buggies but try to ban prats like you.
  22. Nah. He's more of a wedge.
  23. It's not one that I would blame you for having a different opinion on. In my view Moheen is a class batsman and a good bowler. Rashid is probably a better spinner but can be very expensive and whilst he can bat he does not have the class of Moheen. You pays your money and you takes your choice. The clincher for me is that Moheen is the man in possession and it would seem unfair to drop him as he has done nothing to deserve it.
  24. I take your point but Moheen Ali is the man in possession and has proved to be a stylish batsman too. Rashid is an unknown quantity at test level and unless you are going to drop a specialised batsman and play two spinners I can't see a place for Rashid especially in the first test against Australia. Moheen has done nothing wrong to deserve to be dropped.
