  1. Perhaps they've found his weakness. Everybody has one. Maybe they will share it with us if we ask them nicely. I'm sure it's in their interests not to have India as the no.1 team in the world.
  2. I feel that the Coyle sacking should be celebrated in this thread. "Mutual agreement" my backside!
  3. Even though he is no longer captain surely Cook is well worth including in the test team. EDIT - Having re read your post I have realised that you probably assumed that Cook would open (with Jennings).
  4. Was that a typo or are you having a dig at Root Chaddy? Personally I would not have appointed him. Not that I don't think that he is a capable captain but we depend in him most matches to score the runs and sometimes the responsibility of captaining the side affects their form. I hope it does not in Cook's case.
  5. I don't see a problem with players having agents Parson. The problem I see is with the clubs having to pay for them.
  6. Mulgrew is our best player at the moment.
  7. How can there be 178 posts on this subject? There is only one worst ever player, Chris Brown, and there have been some bad 'uns.
  8. Ferguson was not a poor player but he shafted us royally.
  9. The "jackpot" on Pointless is always pathetic any way. Pretty pointless I would say.
  10. There is no point in having a lot of seamers in India. They are good at spin and doctor the pitches to favour spin and negate pace. You can't beat them on their own pitches.
  11. Emnes contract with Swansea is up at the end of the season and they are unlikely to offer him a new one to send him out on loan again. Rovers could be his best bet unless somebody else makes an offer.
  12. Stupid post! The point is that we concede late goals too often. It's either loss of concentration or lack of fitness. Or is it stupid substitutions?
  13. It would be interesting to know how many points we would have if matches only lasted 70 minutes. Don't ask me to do the research though. I don't have the patience these days.
  14. I've proven that I've touched a nerve in your case. I've nothing against Scots unless they openly say they hate the English. It's no good to apologise later. I have no lack of knowledge about tennis, just a dislike of watching the professional sport. Are you a Scot by any chance?
  15. Do you know Jim that there are many posters on this forum who fondly wish that you would just go away and give us all something to celebrate! Is Scottish a race? I consider them the same race as me. I've played it when I was younger. It's watching the professional sport that is boring.
  16. The parents can't be short of a bob or two to employ a tennis coach for two sons. It's a really boring game with the server having a huge advantage all the time.
  17. No it isn't. My son was assistant at a golf club and paid for it. As it happens he was one shot short of making the grade for turning pro but that was his problem, not the sport's.
  18. Then why did you quote it? I'm not going to research it but it appears that all the tennis pros are rich kids with paid coaches.
  19. I hate tennis. Wimbledon fortnight is a good time to book a holiday abroad. They say that golf is a sport for the rich but tennis is more so with the personal coaches etc. for anyone who wants to succeed. Also Murray IS an English hating sweaty turd.
  20. The lad made 31. Not a bad start. Good to see Joe Root back to form. It's been an excellent start for England. 311 for 4 with Moeen 99 not out.
  21. He was unrepentant because he was absolutely right. The American golf crowds are a baying rabble. Their team is not treated like that in Europe who's golf followers are much more appreciative and fair minded. USA deserved their victory but I can't believe that British citizen wanted his team to lose.
  22. We lost this because of poor selection by the captain but more because the Americans putted superbly. It was the best sustained exhibition of putting by the whole American team that I have ever seen. Europe on the other hand generally putted abysmally. That is where the cup was won and lost.
