  1. Whereas newly promoted Derby, with big support behind them I 'd imagine, will be raring to go.
  2. Travis maybe off to Stoke---swap for Baker. Personally I hope not.
  3. You just know he'll go at the last minute and the Club will argue there wasn't time to get a replacement in. In reality we've probably signed the replacement already. God help us.
  4. There was a goal that Buckley scored on the last day of the season a year or two ago. It was v Birmingham. I thought it was as good a goal of its type that I'd ever seen and I thought he'll be terrific next season. And he wasn't.
  5. No room for Buckley then? I had high hopes for him once.
  6. I thought he looked quite good but didn't get enough playing time.
  7. How many games will Hedges and JRC be fit for?
  8. We don't have numbers or quality with a couple of weeks to the start of the season! If we were able to put out our best eleven every game we'd still be struggling. But injuries, suspensions play merry hell with the best of squads and we are more injury-prone than most. Very worried about our future---immediate and longer-term.
  9. The thing is, he'll go but not be replaced by anyone. So I prefer him to stay. At least he's a body!
  10. When you think about the players we have lost in recent years, put them all together and you have a promotion squad. But that was never part of the plan.
  11. Chaddy, you're a self-confessed optimistic person, could you please list any current features of Blackburn Rovers the rets of us should be optimistic about?
  12. I agree. If I were running Chrystal Palace i'd just gazump our youth signings and save Palace £18M!!
  13. There's literally nothing to look forward to this coming season, just the hope that somehow we can avoid relegation and that Venkys will call it a day We are just about the unluckiest fans in Britain.
  14. From their point of view there is no reason to keep Rovers. So why do they?
  15. It absolutely isn't. Has no record of success as a manager at all. Hoping Rooney isn't interested either!
  16. Just because he's done well with England doesn't mean he has the abilities to manage a team that's playing every week. A very different kettle of fish.
  17. Probably time to reflect on what we did achieve rather than what we didn't. We were very lucky with our half of the draw, for a start. I doubt we would have gone past Germany or France in the other half. Spain were the stand-out side in the competition from Day 1, fearless attacking football from them. But 32 sides started out in this tournament and 30 didn't make the final. I'm not sure we played the best 11 players in England but I'm equally not sure that someone else would have made the difference. I would like to see what Klopp can do, I am genuinely excited with the depth of emerging talent in English football and we move on....Looking forward to seeing Adam in an England shirt soon, I'm sure this experience will have been very beneficial for him.
  18. Ok then, don't go to the trouble of listing them all, just give us 2 or 3.
  19. I'm salivating at the thought of this squad in the next World Cup and so many likely to be available in the next Euros. Including of course our own Adam Wharton.
  20. TBF Spain have looked the best side in the tournament since Day 1. We are not favourites to win this game.
  21. If Klopp were available I'd go for him but I wouldn't complain if Southgate carried on.
  22. I'm happy, I support England, I'm not bitching about Southgate but I don't agree with the penalty decision.
