I haven't read earlier posts on the game so sorry if I'm repeating others but wasn't that a great performance from Travis? Vital part in the first 2 goals and drove forward to great effect. I hope those in charge make peace with him and he stays. We won't recruit better. Gueye showed some nice touches to give me faith he might hold his place, would have liked some goal attempts though. And Yuki put himself about and showed real cool to chip the keeper for his goal. Early days and injuries might hit our squad hard but I'm already feeling more optimistic. At least we appear to be competitive and the team has a "together vibe" about it.

But we had Adam then and weren't about to lose Sammi. I'm expecting the quality of the squad to be lower than at this time last year which means relegation probably.

There was a goal that Buckley scored on the last day of the season a year or two ago. It was v Birmingham. I thought it was as good a goal of its type that I'd ever seen and I thought he'll be terrific next season. And he wasn't.

We don't have numbers or quality with a couple of weeks to the start of the season! If we were able to put out our best eleven every game we'd still be struggling. But injuries, suspensions play merry hell with the best of squads and we are more injury-prone than most. Very worried about our future---immediate and longer-term.

The thing is, he'll go but not be replaced by anyone. So I prefer him to stay. At least he's a body!
