Can't understand how we went into this tournament as Favourites. Wharton will be given his chance a) as a sub if we have a decent lead or b) start in a game where we've already qualified (hopefully!). Southgate is a cautious manager and Wharton has a long England career ahead of him. Thins invaluable experience for him whether he plays or not.
