I think this game will show what a huge gap there is between an ordinary Premier League team and an ordinary Championship team. Based on recent Wolves I think they'll cut through us like a knife through butter. I just hope we come out of this without new injuries. BUT---its the FA Cup so stranger things have happened! (hedging bets there!)

Come off it! You disappear for months and come back every now and then just to tell others how negative and boring they are. The over-riding factor at Ewood remains under-funding by an ownership that doesn't care. Whether we take 2 steps forward at times, we always end up 3 backwards so it comes back to the same old problem. If you really can't take any more reality, ignore the site for longer. What sort of contribution is it anyway that discounts the factor that most affects us?

But those "means" have been drastically diminished by the decisions of the owners over more than a decade, so much so that they have long since ceased to be viable.

It may turn out to be a decent window but its definitely a gamble and we won't know till the end of the season. One thing it definitely is not----a coherent, committed attempt by the owners to keep us in the top six. And come the summer, whatever happens, we start all over again.

So agree. We don't use the transfer window to solve problems, we just push the problems down the road a bit. Come summer we'll be scrambling to resign those players out of contract who we don't want to lose for nothing and trying to fill all the holes left by loanees returning to their own clubs. Its no way to run a club but it seems the only way with Venkys.

Chaddy will tell us that you never get the best outcomes in January and we're better off waiting till summer!

Eustace has done very well here. It will have been noticed and he'll have no problem getting a job with an ambitious Championship club. I'm not saying he will but he definitely could if he wanted it.
