He isn't a poor mans Bruno he's better than Frank but like Tyson was for him Usyk was always all wrong for someone like AJ. Massive credit to him for taking the instant rematch and having a good go the reason as said he didn't let his hands go was lessons learned from the first fight. Most disappointing thing for me was he didn't grapple and tie him up like expected until he was knackered himself at the end. His corner where ridiculous yet again telling him he was winning all the time. Hissy fit at the end was part down to them but he was dehydrated and clearly a bit disorientated but still no excuse it was pathetic. End of the day though he took the fight when it was ordered and could easily have dropped that belt. 24 rounds with far and away the best mover and technician in the division. Came up short but didn't get himself stopped and in the 2nd fight always looked like he night just uncork something. He is no Bruno.

Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?

We'd only know that for sure if it came to a straight choice between going there and coming back here. Something tells me he might fancy a new challenge he seems the type. -

I think Van Hecke was probably identified by our previous recruitment guy who then legged it to league 1 Sunderland. No surprise they are in pole position now if he's pushing it, if he's still there. -

He should be a squad player at first team level not a starter we should have proper goal scoring back up before we throw in the kids. That's not looking like how it's going to work here though it's kids first then scrabble around for something else when desperate. -

All about levels he just isn't ready to be a regular in the championship. If we were in lge 2 that team last night and the one v Hartlepool would probably be enough to finish in the top 6. It would sink without trace in the championship week in week out. -

Who cares about Liverpool fans i doubt they name anyone else from their U23s they should be grateful for championship teams taking a punt on them. He's here to play our way and where he's asked he isn't here from our point of view to just prepare him for their first team. Now if he turns up at left forward then right wing i'll start asking questions ! -

Yes but it's not massive though is it which is what they claim to be everywhere they go. Or maybe they are just no different to any other club around here. -

Of course there are loan fees a lot of them come as package deals . Poveda 11 grand a week wage contribution for a whole season even when he was injured and back in Leeds. Great work by Tony, Mark and the gang that one at least half a million down the pipes. -

'Creating' yes that really is about the size of it with him. If there is nowt then make something up, he's very creative that guy. -

No it was definitely that which prompted the famous TM line of 'you could say we've sold a goalie to sign a forward' after Raya's exit. -

It was 3 million with 2 in add ons so that didn't sound so bad at the time. -

He's only following a long line of previous similar scenarios at Rovers. Come in out of the blue with limited experience for the job you've been given, say plenty say all the right things. Then just disappear and say nothing, not only that but create the illusion that you shouldn't even dare to be asked wtf you are actually doing. -

I think Sammie has replaced Rothwell in the squad simply because Buckley has dropped back and he's gone in there, sort of. Investing possibly two million in him would suggest he's going to be a regular not a squaddie. -

They have to keep enough together to put teams out at youth level so they can't just fire everyone off at once. It's a gradual process and unless there is someone better right behind them they'll have to keep a certain amount of under achievers until it makes sense to let them go. -

That's what they don't grasp imo Yes they don't need the money but the club does so they think we'll we are bunging in 10/15 million every year we'll just chuck in a bit more to cover it. Someone there really needs to fully outline FFP to them. -

Especially when it's someone who has been bought with significant investment as a development project. Much like developing our own youth to then leave for nothing it's utterly pointless in terms of building a team/club for future success. There has to be some caveat in there to protect these assets and bring the club some kind of compen should they leave at any point. When it's happening with good player after good player it is pretty indefensible. -

tomphil replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Because hes probably sat back and observed what's happened with Rothwell and Lenihen and knows he's likely to have more options. For every action or lack of it there is a consequence further down the line and this is the bed the club has been making itself over that last few years. No amount of you trying to cover for it and shifting the entire blame onto every player that leaves will sugar coat it. -

Doesn't stop him asking to leave though if he's pissed off and it wouldn't be the first time these tactics have been used by a club wanting rid. Giving them the benefit of doubt i'm inclined to think JDT is trying to protect him somewhat so he can step in when BBD is sold this window. Either way summat is amiss here. -

I think it was another of Shebbys daft idea to get Ali into the club i doubt Venkys ever mentioned his name. -

Exactly We finished 8th last season and where in the top few for a lot of it so why not for once just make some smart recruitment. Invest a bit, look at it as a one off and just have a real go on the back of last season ? Can always revert to projects and journeys if it doesn't work. -

Going to this for nostalgia purposes remember some good evening trips there back in the day, always a good turnout in the old away end. Always aggro outside some nasty gits followed them then, in fact not even sure they followed them they just spilled out of pubs at full time looking for visiting stragglers. Same team as Hartlepool if possible just replace Wharton with Pickering NOT Ayala. I'd rather get dumped out than loose players to injury. -

So easy to implement on one of the strongest teams in the Swedish league but not so easy on a threadbare championship side. I feared this from the off and ignoring the 'bounce' of the first few as things settle down and we see this managers real style implemented i fear even more. You have to fight fire with fire in this division there is no other way. -

Someone at the game said BBD in particular was shouting at them to get it going going quicker and signalling to the bench. Nothing unusual in players getting frustrated but the fannying around at the back doesn't suit this team we've been through all this before. -

Iv'e heard a few saying BBD and one or two others were very angry at the tactic of rolling it about at the back all the time. Think there'll be an interesting team meeting on Monday.
