Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?
tomphil replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
If Bournemouth were going to stump up 3 mill for Rothwell in January then a well placed Championship club or desperate Prem club could well try for BBD in Jan for double that. There is every chance we'd still get the fee back if they took the gamble and got rid. Absolutely no guarantee he'd want to hump ship just anywhere though for the sake of it. -
His attitude stunk the last few seasons he;d have been on his bike had there not been a year with no fans. He'd have flipped at the least bit of stick during the possession nonsense some of his comments then were pathetic to be honest. I'm glad some are finally coming to terms with his true colours - just another self serving football gravy train rider. I actually think he might do well at Sunderland if he gets a bit of backing. I reckon though he's just got another pension pot gig there by the sounds of it. Just eeking it out till he's 60 as was the plan here. Mark Venus must be the luckiest man in football hanging onto his shirt tails.

Sinclair knew exactly what he was doing Not long before that he was praising the Queen but he spotted his clickbait opportunity and took it but being another pig thick ex footballer he didn't think it through. The guy has been arrested for a racial slur in the past so we know race baiting is his thing and only Talkshite employ fools like that. Anyway God Save the King, sod Trevor Sinclair. -

The decision rested with the EPL and EFL so it was entirely predictable they'd fancy a day off. I'm one percent on board with things being cancelled on the day of the funeral as a mark or respect but this i feel is just counter productive. -

Predictable, yes understandable in a way but it does nothing but add to peoples sadness really. That's not what the Queen was all about. -

Well the owners have spent over 200 million on their baby so we perhaps should be in better shape than we are now. Non of that is JDT or Broughtons fault though so we are their project now. -

The show must go on it's 2022 not 1950 And i say that as a man of Queen and country but the very best way for people to pay their respects is at their choice of events at weekend. -

A lot travel in but a hell of a lot live in the immediate area that much is obvious on a matchday. -
It must be all that's is needed at this present time that's 9 million this year already, plus it's VLL so it might be for something else. Does Akon need more brass ?

I don't think iv'e sen him in whatever his real position is supposed to be at first team level but beyond standing in for injuries the club have clearly had he earmarked as a RWB. Every appearance there hasn't been because of knocks to someone else. Reminds me a bit of the very early Wilcox for those he remember him then, plenty effort and willingness but just not physically up to it yet. Then again could just be another Lowe in the making all effort but very little else yet the type of guy that goes down well on the training ground and with gaffers. Either way a loan away and some regular games would be of more benefit to him than a squaddie here and i'm sure we could find something more suitable.

Venkys want to hear about projects and the like so they can just reset the same narrative under a different guise. Then chuck a few quid in sit back and forget about it again for a few years until it comes up for review. -
Can't see the lounge from where i sit but iv'e only heard of the lad attending once quite a while ago. We happened to turn in a barnstormer as well that day amazingly. Think it was pre lockdown that so if he was here almost all hoe games i;m 100% certain we'd have heard about it.

You can probably watch the best team in Germany or Spain for less but that's not the point. My original gripe was in regards to peoples lips coming out after losing a few. How many managed to trek to Blackpool midweek live on SKY for ONE POUND less ? Surely we can be expecting 3k plus at Wigan. -

I don't think he has an issue judging players and injuries have left him having to make changes he wouldn't normally do. However tactically he needs to get to grips with what will work in this league and what won't because from what iv'e seen recently that isn't helping. -
The games against that lot and Preston present huge marketing opportunities and re-engagement opportunities but the club never takes them. Just let scaremongering rule the day and the police run the show.

I think we can be sure a combination of factors will totally spoil it again. I'm not sure i can get my head around how Blackburn Rovers v Burnley is any more risk than Sunderland descending on Middlesbrough in 2022. Yet it'll be deemed as such and instead of a crowd approaching 30k it'll probably struggle to hit twenty thousand. Pathetic really.
-
Having been to Boro plenty times i can absolutely guarantee that isn't the norm up there. They haven't played each other for a few years so it was a bit of an occasion although to be fair Boro are ambitious again. At places like that it also brings a far bigger weight of expectation and fans can turn far quicker than the more genteel surroundings down here.

I did notice that didn't go down well with the Makem masses Welcome to Tony's world lads just wait till he fills your club full of his pals and boro exes
