  1. Lets be honest now if he said he'd had enough tomorrow and left for his own reasons what would really change between now and the end of the season ? Would it really be much different, would we have ourselves a better chance of a big final push ? Would we implode completely and the season end in disarray and doom ? Or would we likely as not just bumble on like we are now winning the odd one, losing and drawing 0-0 ?
  2. He's been stealthily turning all the blame onto the players recently in typical 'nothing to do with me' fashion. One min he's telling us we are a young naive side the next thing he's questioning some players desire. Surely they shouldn't be anywhere near the team if that is the case.
  3. Now that would be hand and glove imo There won't be any compo though and this is Nixon the processor of more crap than the average sewage works. As this season peters to a close it'll be full on operation get Tony a new long term deal, just watch.
  4. Rumours Farke is being lined up for Stoke. I think here and this group of players would suit him far better, if ever there was a 'big' bog standard championship midtable club it's Stoke. I think it would be a poor choice by him if he went there.
  5. Considering what we actually needed at the time and considering the Raya money went into his signing it's very hard to understand. We are paying the price now though because he has to justify his other marquee signing. Yet he'll only ever draw blanks most weeks despite putting a shift in usually.
  6. Because he seems to be a scapegoat yet he isn't a good enough striker and never was. Not his fault that hes been jerked about here week to week and now everyone including the deluded manager is wondering why he isn't Danny Graham. He is a squad man at best in a decent championship outfit and he has played his part this season. I don't expect him to hit a barn door i suppose that's where we differ. I do expect better from the manager in terms of how he uses him and who else he has on the books.
  7. Shake your own nut then ask who signed him and who puts so much faith in him despite shoving him in a different position every game. He is what he is and has never been any different so to expect anything better is deluded.
  8. That's what you get with youth and players in general in this league, inconsistency. Just not all at once but... Happens every single season here though despite the personnel and system so why do you think that is ? End of the day we are a naive young side who went on a fabulous run after being badly exposed. Since one important player got injured we've been being guided back to midtable comfort by the equally naive inconsistent yet very experienced manager. Just facts but i don't want everyone jumping on Gallagher, look higher up the food chain that's where responsibility lies. Not that any will ever be acknowledged.
  9. This really isn't funny anymore nor is it just hard luck or this squad not being good enough. It isn't an individual players fault either. It's tactical nonsense with zero clear plan starting in January when there were real opportunities. That was the beginning of the end of a serious go at it.
  10. I doubt he can but Mowbray can certainly outwit himself sometimes. Team looks decent enough today on paper but it might not reflect that in practice.
  11. I did and i know exactly what you said which contradicts what you said about signing Hedges now to save money....on a signing on fee if he was free !
  12. He won;t have been any cheaper at all that's just wishful thinking and it won't have been done to save a few quid, quite the opposite i'd suggest. When you think about whoever brokered the deal and their cut added to the fee. It's clear they just rushed this through for the sake of getting a body through the door with no clear plan of what to do with it. He'll probably turn out an ok player for a small outlay but it looks stupid when we've been struggling so much up top yet not using him.
  13. See now when i mentioned something about signing on fees a few weeks back you jumped in and said Rovers don't do that now 🙄
  14. He tends to do better as a sub whether it's forcing attacks to try and score or defending from the front to hang on. Disappears too easily and too quickly when started in wide forward positions.
  15. I don't think defense was a problem the other night even in the first half. Issue was up top and Derby easily picking the ball up from our awful attempts at attack then playing it out. Their goal should have been cleared but it resulted from a hash of a header from the blowing out his arse Johnson. Lets be stodgy again and hit them on the break, going there looking to dominate possession we'll lose. He has to get the blend right at the front but i'd just expect more mix and match praying something works.
  16. There are always little clues out there like the HSH guy tweeting every now and again how terrific Venkys and Mowbray are. He isn't doing it because he's a Blackburn Rovers fan.
  17. I'm sure he was stood in the technical area most of the second half hands in pockets.
  18. Hes been more animated and vocal on the sidelines this season than the last 2 put together lets be fair. That's why the other nights 2nd half no show was very odd although there does remain the remote possibility he was under the weather or something.
  19. Sutton was the better individual player definitely but Newell the better team player, club man. Sutty just clicked on the pitch with Shearer though what a partnership that was. It needed Ripley and Wilcox to thrive off. Heard a few things about Sutton it does sound as if he was a bit of an arrogant plonker but winners are often like that. Also heard Newelly liked putting it about a bit, not his ego...
  20. He was although they are totally different types, not aimed at you but i don't get why some get upset that Gallagher isn't doing what Graham did or Jordan Rhodes. He's a poor mans Kevin Davies who will get goals through pressure play and graft if it's worked on enough. Blakey was a decent finisher to be fair but he was one lazy barsteward 😂
  21. I think the Rothwell saga might have had something to do with it he seemed to get rushed in when it looked like JR was going. We know we never replace a spade with a spade so god knows what the thinking was. All this not up to speed learning the Rovers way is bollocks imo. Hes just got another body in for the sake of it but never had a specific role for him yet.
  22. Limited options ? Pull the other one its got bells on it he had Gallagher, Giles. Dack and Hedges on the bench. The options for false 9 are almost limitless with the types hes gathered. Dolan, Khadra, Rothwell, Dack, , Gallagher, Giles and of course Buckley just to name a few. Why the tombola fell on Johnson god only knows but don't be saying limited options stick to facts. As for Gallagher HE signed the guy !
  23. The age old question, is there pay on the day available ?
  24. I presume Booth means they rushed it through and had to pay money despite him already being on a pre agreement. To come in summer.......for nothing.
