  1. If you were going to sell a club you'd want to stop or drastically reduce your financial input and cash in on any assets to cover the costs instead and also so the next owner couldn't benefit from them. So they've got TK, Ash Philips and Wharton off the books now plus the training ground. You'd also bring in a more pragmatic manager who knows what the new scenario is and is prepared for it. Interesting but sadly i think they are just winging it year to year like they always have done.
  2. Only 700 ish going down i thought there'd be a few more but it is what it is the away form has been appalling so no wonder a few are giving it a miss.
  3. It still makes Blackburn town centre look like a village though.
  4. Andy Holt = clickbait Ignore him he loves hi own attention.
  5. He originally said Feb so they must have some from somewhere dropping in the acc so unless it's another short term borrowing secured against god knows what it'll be the 1st Wharton instalment. I think it's obvious why Waggot doesn't say much it's because if he did he'd trip himself up forgetting what he'd said previously.
  6. Thanks for that, been before a few times just never driven but i'll take my chances with the parking.
  7. A 19 yr old kid with less than a seasons full championship games under his belt starting for a struggling Prem club, a massive step up. Palace fans and various other fans and media outlets complimenting his performance, obviously taking all things into account. Never let it be said Rovers have a jury....
  8. Where does our instalments to buy a player come from though when the incoming instalments are bookmarked to pay running costs ? It still has to be extra from somewhere and recently we were struggling to negotiate a 500 grand fee in instalments !
  9. Anyone know what the parking is like around there ? Not driven to this one in a while but i'll be arriving down there a few hours before the game.
  10. He might well have had some online meeting or something with the flew bit for added dramatic effect. I expect though it's a story rushed out to try and quell the fire by making it plain he's going nowhere he isn't accountable -again- for the latest fiasco so no point protesting against him. Even if he was he's already said there has to be a notice period from either side. He might though have worked a miracle getting compen for Tomasson and getting this fella and a few players in quickly, we'll have to see how it goes but football is strange like that. I'm sure he'll be happy to be accountable for anything that tuns out well.
  11. I think he'll be expected to cope with losing some of his best players and replacing with little to nothing ready for another season of midtable security. I think that's why he's here and hopefully is the right man for that job, sadly a place we don't want to be but that's the reality of the 'project' 'journey'.... sorry 'downscale' !
  12. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the one who gives the yes or no's on behalf of the owners only to have to change his mind after he's spoken to them. He's their man on the ground here representing them and always has been therefore he should answer questions on their behalf. The title 'Operations MANAGER' suggests he manages the whole operation here so he is accountable for just about everything on a day to day basis.
  13. If we sign McGuire in summer that means we've missed the try before you buy and are going straight into some crazy numbers deal Broughton has promised them.
  14. 'Ask Steve and Suhail' I bet there were a hell of a lot of Rovers fans hearing that and saying 'who' ? Your time in the shadows is up my friend it's time to step into the light and answer some straight forward questions with honest answers. That's all we ask and if there is nothing to hide then why do you ?
  15. That'll be the strength of it although as his first senior pro contract here i doubt he's on more than 3k now so he'll be after a big rise no doubt.
  16. Well i was more referring to out in social media land where it was made to sound like some wheeler dealer masterstroke which is utter bunkem. Getting out of jail from a rotten signing is one thing but passing it off as a harmless bit of business is another so lets hope it's not a new policy. The fact he was fit enough to play a game for Stoke and score makes it look even more suspicious to me, it stinks but that's my opinion.
  17. Yes the JDT style should stand them in good stead if they keep working on certain principles of it. Looking at Burnley in the Champ they retained a lot of the Dyche era stuff but Kompany added some flair, counter attacking and pace. Kind of like the flip of what we need to do and obviously we are way off that level without investment it's still a good blueprint to follow.
  18. That's similar talk to how we were pacified under Mowbray after lge 1 promotion when he was investing in Armstrong, Brereton and Gallagher. On a journey to build a team and add value. Then we had JDT and we were told it's better to develop our own and smart small investments to grow a sustainable Prem team. Tomorrow never comes though they'll get sold when you go down and the project will start again !
  19. Operations Manager seems to be a good way of avoiding the real title of Managing Director !
  20. He'll be another that gets moved on for a few hundred grand and the brainwashed will hail it as a roaring success taking a punt on a free and getting money for him. Totally ignoring the obvious wages/agents fees and costs involved also the rather more concerning fact he's been taking up a valuable squad place and contributing nothing. Hopefully they'll fix him a loan iv'e a feeling he could drop a level or two and start banging them in. Then he might create a bit of value worth the desperate punt.
  21. Well Steve Klown did get pulled at the airport with a load of Indian gold didn't he ? So called gifts from his beloved friends in higher places.
