  1. The club have blown it big style with him all he needed was similar backing to Mowbray and i firmly believe we'd be far better off this season. It wouldn't have been without flaws that style of football can cause it's own problem but being allowed to add a couple more the calibre of Tronsdat would have helped immensly. He and we have been royally shafted by the continuing stupid ownership and the ambitionless pairing of Waggot and shadow who now seem to have a vice like grip on the club. We needed to think out the box, needed something a bit different and a new culture at the club after the steady but dour previous regime. They found it, they blew it.
  2. Good turnout all things considered and similar to what they brought here last season before they start running their mouths off as usual. I don't care it's only 15 mins up the road the away form has been diabolical and it's still 30 quid. Also we are due a result on the road !
  3. A consultant masquerading as a Sporting Director whose wife was an agent. What could go wrong eh, now we have an academy director running the entire football operation who recently let it out the bag that the inexperienced in English football head coach was advising him on all manner of things. I'm sure it's supposed to be the other way around. And surely the CEO should be guiding the DoF ? Bloody circus this club, still.
  4. Yep spewing money on short term sticking plaster solutions. Agents will do alright though as usual but classic Waggot and Venkys, why re-invest a million or two on a decent player when you can spend it on 2 short term frees and a couple of loans. The DoF and new recruitment dept model was supposed to alter this by having our better own ability to source and bring in players to fit the model. It's anything but when you look at Leo, Tel and Ennis so no doubt we are back to grasping what favoured agents offer.
  5. Should still be a 19/20k+ crowd although knowing our lot they'll close the ticket office again on the day on cost cutting Police 'advice'.
  6. He's a front foot player is Brittain but when he's on the back foot and we are being pushed back down the wings he's all over the place. I'm talking about when there is actual defending to be done he's often poor.
  7. As was mentioned by philipL Waggot can't manage upwards only downwards that is where every bit of his experience and expertise - if we want to call it that - is. He was in a similar role at two clubs going rapidly backwards in Charlton and Coventry his whole ethos is that of squeeze what you have and shrink into a more manageable size. Do we ever believe that he has presented a 3 year plan to the owners to aim for the top 6 ? Do we ever believe hes gone and said i strongly recommend backing Tony for a striker to push us over the line it's the best chance we have. Or that hes gone to them and said we need to do an ST drive like PNE and Bolton to reboot the crowds and improve all aspects of matchday experience ? No chance all he does is present his modest targets and cost cutting ideas year on year to plod along. There s no way in hell he didn't know the huge risks of the model being run now even he isn't that thick, did he scream to the owners this will only go one way we'll end up relying on luck ? Did he balls. And that is a continuing major issue at Rovers the lack of a Blackburn based and Blackburn focused board of directors. Suhail is the owners puppet and he is Suhails puppet and a cosy little number they are both on i assume.
  8. With the head coach change obviously being on the cards in the background for a while and the CEO now seemingly bringing in players over the last head coach and DoFs head it all points to being deliberate. He won't commit to that kind of signing and the new head coach he's brought in is a fire fighter who'll be prepared to lose more good players in summer and work with 1 shirt button as a budget. It's all being lined up by Waggot for a further downscale and water treading under him is set to be replaced by annual relegation scraps. What does he really know about the future financing or is this him and shadowman trying to impress the ownership again with their new model of Rovers.....
  9. Because they work for owners for whom disfunction is the norm and if they like you it doesn't matter.
  10. You simply cannot lose the senior players we have, cut the already modest budget we have, sell the talent we have and reduce the wage bill and plug holes with youth, recruit the types we mostly have without having some serious adverse effects. It's the perfect storm for disaster and that's before we include all the background stuff and fed up already small fanbase. Takes very shrewd operators on and off the pitch to steer any championship club through those waters.
  11. Encouraging them to clear the lines quicker and be more decisive in defence will result in more balls flying upfield to no one or into touch. It should though prevent a goal like we conceded last night and several other opportunities they had. Bog standard championship stuff i'm afraid and at the min we just need points not style and if they'd cleared that last night we could have hung on for a 0-0 which would have be welcomed mostly.
  12. They were diagonal balls to AA if we are to be correct and there was plenty games that was plan A with no plan B. Other days it was similar to Gallagher on the right and the performance at Brum under Mowbray i referred to earlier was every bit as bad as last night. A total no show with twice the squad.
  13. Hopefully they don't bully us so easily this time but i still expect the weaknesses to be exposed and we simply have to offer something in the opposition 3rd. Maybe we are set to be a jekyll and hyde team again and this will be a good day ?
  14. Brittain is a rotten defender he's weak as piss, decent footballer going fwd but every time he's put on the back foot he can't handle it. Not just based on last night but numerous showings previous and last season he is a real weak point. Better going fwd than Nyambe but half the defender Ryan was with a similar made of glass fitness record. No doubt he'll be good in lge 1 though.
  15. The similarities are now so startling it's like deja vu but iv'e been saying that all season even before we did exactly the same as last time by appointing a pragmatic manager after the window shut.
  16. Absolute rubbish no intention there other than to try and protect the nil and maybe nick something. He'll have to learn very quickly you cannot do that with this squad there are too many weak links who eventually make a mistake and no one ever nicks a game for us. Had a feeling this would happen and we've gone from one extreme to the other mixing it up once in the middle. Amazing how you can drill any attacking intent out in just a couple of short days, worrying also we are still heading for a world of real problems. Very similar that game to one down there a few years back under Mowbray where we just didn't turn up at all. Then though there were NO valid excuses but now we have to be honest this squad is the weakest it has been since the last relegation season. There is just nothing to bring on to rescue or turn a game they are just gap fillers for those taken off. All or at least 90% of the blame here is at the door of the downgraders owning and running this club. The plus side ? Well almost guaranteed we'd have shipped 3 or 4 in that one under JDT lets not pretend any different.
  17. It reduces the price therefore making it easier to sell and why would they throw yet another 20 million at something to keep it going whilst it was up for sale when they'd never get it back ? There is no logic in that whatsoever if you are selling to cut your loses there is only one scenario to follow. Player value is just hypothetical unless there is written agreements on price with other clubs, so Rovers today might be worth 25 million and it'll still be that this time next year. Lets face it they stole this club anyway when they bought it the sales of Jones, Kalinic and Samba basically covered the buying price and debt, on paper. The Walker Trust didn't ask for 60 million instead due to potential assets on the books or money already put in. Yet had it not sold they would have began selling players to fund running costs as they'd already stopped their own funding.
  18. He knows damn well it'll insence Rovers fans and amuse dingles that's why hes done it but i'm sure in the past hes raised questions about their running of the club. Seems the wind blows a different way for this fella everyday.
  19. Rarely take a lot to midweek midlands games it was the same even in the Prem.
  20. If you were going to sell a club you'd want to stop or drastically reduce your financial input and cash in on any assets to cover the costs instead and also so the next owner couldn't benefit from them. So they've got TK, Ash Philips and Wharton off the books now plus the training ground. You'd also bring in a more pragmatic manager who knows what the new scenario is and is prepared for it. Interesting but sadly i think they are just winging it year to year like they always have done.
  21. Only 700 ish going down i thought there'd be a few more but it is what it is the away form has been appalling so no wonder a few are giving it a miss.
  22. It still makes Blackburn town centre look like a village though.
  23. Andy Holt = clickbait Ignore him he loves hi own attention.
