  1. Landlord, a pint of your finest ale!
  2. Unbelievable. The guys done nowt all game. Another new tactic, player doesn't go to the ball, you wait for the ball to come to a stationary player.
  3. You've absolutely nailed it mate! We tried earlier with the corner onto the bar. Why didn't VI think of it before.
  4. At least Ohashi gets into positions. Gudjohnsen!!? Why's he on the pitch. He's just out for a jog - AGAIN!!
  5. We're all ready relegated, it just hasn't happened yet. Need more beer.
  6. My question is why are organised to have all our players on the wings, no one in the middle no one filling the attack from the middle. If you win the ball on the wing there's no point as you've no targets in the middle to pass to. Second point is why am I even bothered enough to post this, I'm so disillusioned I really can't be arsed.
  7. The more things progress the more I'm getting on board for the Tony Mowbray shout.
  8. Nobody can be similar to Kean. All this started with him. He's the gold standard of horror appointments. I shudder just to mention his name.
  9. What's clear to me is that the strategy has been to: a) clear the decks of 'trouble makers' and those who wouldn't sign new deals b) replace with younger unknown 'prospects' whose value could increase c) become a perpetual mid table club so as to sell on the bloodied and newly seasoned championship quality players for a profit d) sausage machine/rinse repeat e) get lucky once in a while to keep the natives happy and interested This gets reliance on the owners money down and we generate our own funds. They miss the whole idea of being a football club, my question is WHAT'S THE F'ING POINT!! Who wants to watch that and support a club like that. You're in the entertainment business - ENTERTAIN FFS!!! We've bought young, fit kids, some with real pace, but ZERO football skills, and I mean ZERO, nothing in their footballing senses, nothing in their footballing brains, nothing in their first touches, no idea how to use their bodies. When was the last time we saw a clean strike of the ball from a forward player? You know, just the basic skill of the game. Gestede and Pasha did this because they could, they like being in charge and everybody else can go hang. There's no other reason, ego tripping maniacs who get off on domination. The club has rotted from the inside outwards. I really think we're finished.
  10. I said I was done with this lot during the transfer window, I said hell would freeze over before they got any more of my money. I hate to feel vindicated but that display warranted my decision. Abject. Nothing else to say except to agree with everyone else, Gestede is an absolute moron. Who couldn't have predicted what would happen when you sell the entire f'ing team
  11. Sparkys in the stands. If only there was a vacancy.
  12. What excuses, I'm agreeing, take your frustration out on some body else. We are utter crap AND unlucky or if you feel better about the opposition teams are all lucky. Better?
  13. Hey I'm on board with the absolute shite we have to put up with but we literally can't buy any luck, stone wall pen missed by the ref, own goal and a ball breaking for them from a great challenge to make it 2. We are toothless and we do have bang average players but just when you need a rub of the green ....
  14. We don't deserve to be winning this but f me we can't buy a break this season can we.
  15. From my recollection Gudjohnssen has missed 3 sitters in 3 games. Tonight will either be his redemption or a confirmation that he's useless. My money is on the latter.
  16. Gudjohnson isn't worth his shirt.
  17. We're transitioning from top 7 side to a relegation side.
  18. Changing leagues always requires a change of playing staff. There's only one profession that benefits from that. If we were a club run by agents (we're not of course) then things would begin to make sense. Agents won't have the money to buy a club outright, if it were legal they'd need rich friends to do the doing. This isn't the case at our club, thank goodness. People with such baseless speculation would be fantasising next about money laundering via transfer dealings. Grow up! Everythings normal here. Move on.
  19. Well there's one thing for sure, pressing isn't part of the plan.
  20. I don't agree but understand your point and respect your opinion, it's just not mine. You can't make a silk purse from a sows ear, to quote a golden oldie. With this ownership, these players and this board even King Kenny would struggle Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right ... We can change the name on the managers door (and have umpteen times in recent years) repeatedly but it has and will make no difference. I'm sure there are better managers out there today than VI but so what they too would fail under this joke of a club ownership. I'm cutting VI some slack. He says the right things, he's honest (IMO) and sounds like he genuinely wants success for the club so all power to his elbow. He's not going to succeed though, no one could.
  21. Stick Max Verstappen behind the wheel of a Trabant GT Turbo and what will happen? The vehicle can be hyped up and badged up but get it on the track and it doesn't matter who's driving it, you're going to have a bad day. Rovers is business not a football club. A badly run business with a crazy strategy. That's the problem. Money comes in, various people touch it, money goes out. The balance sheet shows ever escalating debt, the P&L shows eye watering annual loses. How or why we are in business is a mystery to me. Buy cheap 'prospects', pay them peanuts, sell for a profit. If successful you defray the losses and the circus continues. This has zero to do with sucess on the field and you know, actually winning something, which is the main reason fans actually pay their hard earned money to support a club. Wining something isn't a conversation that's been heard in the Rovers boardroom for decades. VI is what VI is, neither the world's best nor worst manager. In my opinion he's OK. The club and players on the other hand are not. He will fail because there's no opportunity for him to succeed. The club is a joke and has been since the day the Venkys took over. Money flows through this club like water. Where it comes from, who touches it, where it goes to and why no one knows. What we do know is that the football we play is not benefitted in any way at all. Goid luck VI you're going to need it and right now even that's deserting you.
