  1. I'd have guessed 1500 tbh. You got a bargain pb.... So long as your excellent socialist principles allow you to enjoy it fully of course.
  2. Stunning bill to match I assume PB?
  3. No I'm not. I don't have the necessary physical attributes...... Unfortunately both my legs are the same length!
  4. If you can play during the week the worlds your oyster. Darwen's a tough track and physically demanding but Dunscar's OK and only just over th'ill. We used to ring em up on occasional weekdays and ask cheekily if they did '2 for 1's. They didn't but said if we went they'd match it. Most clubs will 'deal' these days since Sky Sports screwed golf in this country over. New ones like Mitton Fold and Oak Royal are on the look out for new memebers all the tim. As far as 'pay and play' municipals there's Townley, Duxbury Park and Marsden Park
  5. Thats odd...... Until now I thought you were a bloke.
  6. Just been on the local news on BBC breakfast. Just the dressers or the Chinese too?
  7. Me too. Bloody great it was...... Mind it's 20 years ago when I last lived near there so no doubt the owners have changed.
  8. A suite? Nah Sirloins definitely a main course.
  9. I think Stuart was making a joke. You should've gone to Salmesbury Hall.
  10. ex wife? wtf were you thinking of? I can only assume that she must have been a good shag else you were completely insane to marry her.
  11. Was treat to dinner at the Sir Charles Napier last night. No not that one... The one between Oxford, Slough and Wycombe. Michelin starred, Very good food, roaring log fires and a lovely 'home counties' ambience although it is way out in the sticks with prices most definitely not for the faint hearted.
  12. Good advice. Its so easy to just swipe the plastic but as you say bills are wrong as often as they are right IMO. In the past every time I ate at 'Time' in hoghton the bill was wrong. Its gone now.
  13. Never been but have long intended to......... So long as tj newton has no objections.
  14. Indeed Gav.... and I have to say that I relate to him least too. Leave him to his dodgy kebab shops and their unidentifiable meats.
  15. The 'business model' obviously works well and Jocelyn Neve has the backing to exploit it.
  16. Saturday??? You need to pay attention Paul.... see btw 2 http://www.brfcs.com/mb/index.php/topic/30054-benefit-tv/?p=1485425 I'm not on your ignore list as well as Al's am I?
  17. 'Kickass Cheddar' Love it. I have some in the larder right now. Must say it's quite rewarding to see you took my advice Paul.
  18. Only cos they play it at Public Schools. Rugby League is just for the oiks don't you know?
  19. Whereas we are treat to endless minutes of Union players untangling themselves from a pile of bodies after the ref has whistled fro something nobody else saw and then standing steaming with hands on hips until a scrum is sorted out..... repeat to infinity. Effectively all Rugby is for wannabee athletic types who like team sports and cameraderie along with a touch of machismo and a healthy dollop of the old 'Ultra V' involved but who couldn't trap a wet sandbag if their lives depended on it.
  20. Somehow I don't think a career in marketing would suit you PB.
  21. Not a fan of Thwaites Bitter particularly but Wainwrights is cask and seems universally popular.
  22. http://kitchennightmares-kitchennightmare.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/uk-season-4-episode-2-fenwick-arms.html I doubt Ramsey will be needed now.
  23. Jocelyn Neve is not one to let the grass grow under her feet is she?
  24. O&O is very good and from Bash you might be just as close going to the Assheton Arms at Downham. Personally I love the O&O but for quality and sheer good value I can't better the 'Market Menu' at the Butlers Arms at the moment. Two courses for £9.99 produced by an ex Ribble Valley Inns Chef is the stand out deal of the moment around these parts.
