  1. This needs retweeting, reproducing and reposting everywhere Ian. Absolutely scandalous. I said many years ago that we're not really a football Club anymore, we're just a place where certain people go to get paid. Or overpaid perhaps more to the point.
  2. I can't believe I'm reading this. What exactly has Waggott done during his lengthy tenure at the Club that Gestede (or anyone else for that matter) couldn't do far better? The only positive I can possibly attribute to him is the appointment of Eustace - if indeed that was down to him. Against that we've got things like (and I'm sure it's not an exhaustive list) Removing affordable seating and raising prices during the pandemic for a season where no-one could attend and reducing the ST base to 2.5k at the time Repeatedly failing to tie key players down to contracts resulting in them walking out for nothing. The Matchday Waggott tax. Trying and failing to underhandedly push through the sale of the training ground on the sly. The recent January transfer window deadline day debacles of O Brien and Mcguire. Would have been bad enough once but twice! Allowing two very promising managers to become unhappy and in the second instance leave for a relegation threatened Club. Adult season tickets down to 4k in the midst of all this. Really poor staff retention in general at the Club. But yeah.......Gestede (or A.N Other) are bound to be worse. How could they possibly compete with a record like that. Lol.
  3. O Neil didn't even make it through to a second round of interviews according to Jackson. And that guy Crook at Talksport said that O Neill was out of the running long before that, presumably !as soon as he spoke to us.
  4. Come on, I think you need to go for a lie down. It's important we don't detract from the real issues and lose traction by diving back into the realms of conspiracy theory. We had all this crap after they first took took over, Venky's not the real owners, criminal gangs etc etc. All that did was detract from the main issue which is that they are and always have been really terrible owners albeit they were prepared to chuck a lot of money away on our behalf up until a couple of years or so ago.
  5. Sorry if I sound like chaddy, but you know this how?
  6. It couldn't be any worse. If Waggott could charge 3,000 season ticket holders 1k each he'd be over the moon with that.
  7. I'm going to have to disagree strongly with that statement. You might as well say "We could obviously have better owners than Venky's but we could also do worse".
  8. Can anyone verify Harry Berry's stat (reproduced yesterday by Herbie) that 65% of full price ST revenue is needed just to pay Waggott and Pasha? If true that is absolutely insane and someone who knows what they're doing on the social media front needs to send a clip of that viral.
  9. If not all of that is accurate then I hope the only bit that is correct is about Waggott leaving the Club, and hopefully earlier than the end of the season. I know people bang on about it not mattering who is the CEO is and Waggott only does as he is told etc etc (cue RF 99) but for me Waggott is pure poison and it will be a very happy day indeed when he finally departs. I think the owners give Waggott a certain degree of latitude over how he hits his financial targets. I don't believe the owners instruct Waggott to piss a large section of the fan base off and rinse those remaining for as much as he can get. He just does that because it's less hassle for him and his cronies.. A CEO who wanted to hit the same financial targets by getting more people in the ground would at least be a step in the right direction be it Gestede or anyone else.
  10. He has incrdibly strange views though. Another one who sticks out like a sore thumb is Roverend who basically never wants to see us investing in the team in an attempt to push on as he fears it will put the Club at risk financially and he'd rather we looked for gradual improvement. over a number of years. What genuine supporter thinks like that and doesn't want to see us at least try to succeed and push on? There's about 4 or 5 of them who dominate the LT comments section. Typically one of them comes out with a ludicrous post then they all start agreeing with each other and congratulating the original poster. All very odd. As I've mentioned previously I've tried to register several times to add a bit of balance but the site wouldn't let me. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has the same problem or if it's just something I'm doing wrong.
  11. It's not really the time to be leaping to the defence of the Club and to be trying to shoot down any criticism quite so aggressively Chadster.
  12. It's not going to be "extra" money though, it's likely to be less overall just that whatever there is will start coming in earlier. In answer to your earlier post I'm fully aware that all they're bothered about is hitting the overall revenue target as opposed to putting extra bums on seats but if that already pathetic £4k adult take up is decimated still further (which I think it will be) I can't see how they can get anywhere near their financia target.l
  13. On the back of the ludicrous decision to raise prices in the BBE and probably the Ismael effect, my mates son, who has been keen as mustard the last few years even during pretty lean times, is considering not renewing. If he doesn't I doubt his Dad will either. If he is thinking of not renewing the Club have got major problems. I don't think the penny has dropped with them how bad it's likely to be yet.
  14. What I found surprising if true is that VI apparently actually admitted in interview that he was waiting for the international break to implement his own tactics. If that's true, he's effectively admitting to basically writing the season off and sabotaging any play off chances when he arrived. Well it's worked. And how.
  15. It is, certain posters just like slating the referee for the sake of it. In general, if the officials make a bad decision the team need to get over it. It's not due to dodgy officiating we're heading for one point out of (fifteen is it?) I've lost count.
  16. I'm not a Woy fan but I don't think you can put him in that Company. The players clearly don't like Ismael, I'm getting very Jim Iley like vibes from this appointment. They should have gone with our suggestion of Warnock until the end of the season Good job with our usual perceptiveness we gave him a 3 year deal
  17. I thought the players at least played for Coyle, we just couldn't defend under him.Especially coming into the last few minutes of games. It took this guy just ninety minutes plus three minutes of the Derby game.to dismantle any play off hopes. He could soon be setting all sets of records for the wrong reasons.
  18. Other than Norwich we've conceded in the first 20 mins under Ismael in every game. We're not even competitive under him.
  19. .Makes a change to hear you say that about the officials! Lol.
  20. I'd rather they left and we got new owners who were well meaning and committed but who were also willing and able to fund the Club. If you're saying that Venkys are choosing not to put money in as opposed to being prevented from doing so because of the Court case I agree with that. Whether or not in a year with no sales they would inject just enough money to prevent us from going under is yet to be tested. However Im fairly certain they'll never fund us properly in a way that would allow us to progress and or to develop and sell on players. Hypothetically if the Court case was finished and they were still willing and able to inject £20m p.a. into the team and Club infrastructure regardless of net transfer activity then we might be better off with that than with well meaning but skint owners AS LONG AS we had proper management on the ground and a decent Head Coach to ensure the money didnt go to waste as it always has in the past. . It's a moot point though as it will never happen; it seems fairly clear they've given up on the Club and they never employed suitable staff even when they had a modicum of interest.
  21. The problem the Trust or WATR have is that they have to try and keep a foot in the door with the Club because I imagine their ultimate aim is a seat or two on the Board regardless of who the owners are. Much harder to ever achieve that if you're shoved out of the picture altogether. For that reason I dont feel they haven't represented my views for quite some time now. in my view these are fairly unprecedented times requiring out of the ordinary responses. I'm reminded of the time Waggott tried to sneak through the sale of the training ground on the sly. The silence from the Trust was deafening.
  22. I disagree slightly, over here the focus needs to be on making life for Waggott and Pasha as unpleasant as possible but there must be ways of causing them constant embarrassment back in India through the written, verbal and social media mustn't there?
  23. Roughly translates as: "We're aware of the fan unrest and we couldn't give a shit".
  24. They've said they'll be there, and you wouldn't expect anything different really. But that doesn't matter really, you've done a brilliant job of putting the state of the Club firmly back in the public spotlight. The owners usefulness expired when they stopped putting money in around the same time as the Court proceedings and unless they're prepared to change their mind, they need to be gone ASAP. In the very short term though the vitriol needs to be directed towards Waggott and Pasha, they've got away with murder for far too long whilst they run the Club into the ground and attending the remaining games needs to be made a pretty unpleasant experience for them. I liked the softly softly approach of the guy who was on Talksport this morning. Ruled out action to directly disrupt matches as he acknowledged a lot of supporters still liked going to games and supporting the team. Makes you look reasonable and allows you to keep the moral high ground. Well done to all concerned.
