"Such a young guy" who's actually nearly 18 months older than the lad from Liverpool who has been a fixture in the starting line up all season (and who has also done well until recently). Why does he think kids from Premier League teams are ready to be chucked straight into the starting line up but our own youngsters are babies in nappies that can't be trusted at the same age and are usually still looking to prove themselves by the time they're 21 or 22?
-
Why though? Why are some people happy with 12-15th ?(at best) I just don't get it. Would it be different if we'd never have gone down and come back up but instead just scraped up and just ploughed steadily along in the same poor finishing positions?

It's eighteen points from the last eighteen League games now I think plus a defeat to Doncaster in the FA Cup. If we have a storming end to the season then the last seven games can fairly be described as a blip but right now we're still in appalling form which is why the three points were so vital today. And "the blips" are too frequent and too lengthy under TM to ever get anywhere.

Some people really don't get the Brockhall thing do they?

Which Mowbray is not. He'll no doubt waffle on again about "the journey" and how we're on course to challenge next season . Always jam tomorrow with him. And tomorrow never arrives but his pension pot will be topping up a treat.
-
I was going to do that as well because if I had have done we'd probably not have lost another game. Maybe I can hold off now. Lol.

I'd imagine that'll be the gist of the post match interview "next season we'll be in a position to challenge". The problem with today is it will probably be all change again for the next game and I doubt there'll be a hope in hell Dolan will start up front again (or maybe even at all)
-
Looks like we're going to get the three points. Mowbray should have been sacked 2 years ago and will never be the man as long as long as night follows day but by god we need these 3 points to inch a bit nearer to 50 points
-
Didn't think it was a foul at all.
-
Great play from Buckley there. Dack has to do better.
-
Missing the point that Dolan should have had far more game time and that we should be developing him and not Elliott completely then.
-
They aren't are they?

Nothing he can possibly do selection wise to try and get the sack could possibly ever top hooking Nyambe, putting a CF in his place, then hooking him after 10 mins and putting yet another player ( a CB) out of position there. But yes, I agree it seems from his recent interviews he wants paying off and judging by the latest pre match interview he has completely lost interest and isn't afraid of showing it.

You put your right back in your right back out You do the Tony Cokey and you shake 'em all about You do the Tony Cokey and you swap em all around That's what it's all about Nyambe out!

I can't remember exactly who was on it off the top of my head but I thought your shortlist was fairly decent at the time.

Bloody hell Chaddy, that's a little bit duplicitous, it's not so long ago you were blasting people on here for constantly questioning you about Mowbray and reminding them that you had consistently said you'd give him until the end of the season come what may!
-
Never heard of Chris Rush but where is he going, is he joining another Club or getting another job outside football?
-
At least one of us on here will have a good time on Saturday then!. Hope you, your daughter and your family have a lovely day.

Not for much longer. Do they allow you to ride horses round housing estates?
-
And is that good enough for you?
-
Whoosh! 🙂

What, by Tony?

As things stand, without the specification for the new combined training centre on the application being amended, then if it were passed I can't forsee any other outcome than Cat 1 status being lost. At which point we'd probably get some hard luck story from Waggott along the lines of "Everyone knows how important Cat 1 status was to me and we did our very best but unfortunately the constraints that were placed on us in order to obtain planning permission were incompatible with meeting the Cat 1 Academy requirements." When in reality a perfunctory look at the regulations would have shown this before the scheme even got off the ground.
