When you’ve got rovers fans going to Sunderland, Blackpool fans going to hull and Wigan fans going to Middlesbrough. Surely they could have generated some better Boxing Day fixtures out of that lot than having 3 sets of fans travelling a 200-250 miles round trip. I also can’t help but notice the fans of a lot of southern clubs have been looked after particularly London clubs. Spurs v Brentford, palace v Fulham, Arsenal v West Ham, Watford v millwall, Southampton v Brighton.

A defeat is bad enough but the thought of that pillock having a celebratory gurn over a lemon drizzle cake is just the pits.

Sunderland v rovers and Blackpool vs hull. If switched rovers and hull I doubt either fixture particularly high on the rivalry stakes for the police but significantly better Boxing Day fixtures for all concerned.

There’s been some bloody ludicrous Boxing Day trips over the last 15 years or so. Middlesbrough twice, this lot twice. As well as the corresponding fixtures at ewood. The authorities must think we’re in the north east, certainly things get a bit blurry for them north of Watford.

After the debacle of the 2 derby days it would be a bit of a consolation to beat moggadon and his juggernaut.

To be honest I know the vast majority on here would take a rovers win over an England defeat but in the context I’d have taken a big loss and an England win.
