  1. The cherry on top of the cake it’s covering one of the many god awful venky logos.
  2. Poor keeping. Certainly not one of his worst by any means but not good enough. Last 15 mins again
  3. So far so good but with the patchwork quilt of a side it can unravel very quickly. Especially with a bench resembling an u21s game. Come out with the same desire and I’ll be confident
  4. I can’t say what percent of the fanbase do and don’t live in the Blackburn with Darwen catchment area or what the radius of it would be. But I had a think about people I know who go to at least 5 home games and out of 20 none live in the immediate area. The closest balderstone/whalley which is still about 10 miles. Mostly in Ribble valley to be fair. A few in manc, West Yorkshire and a few down south. Although I appreciate my experience is skewed having never lived in a bb2 postcode.
  5. Via Bitcoin only on the second Tuesday of every month no doubt
  6. My mates periodically send me this after I foolishly downloaded a train ticket on my phone which was nearly out of battery by the time we arrived in Euston. Foreseeing issues I showed the ticket office the purchased return train ticket and my phone battery on 10% and asked if they could print me off a proof of purchase as my phone would be dead by the time came home. They refused. Well until I was abusive sadly, and I do mean sadly, the only language customer facing roles seem to understand these days. I also had a similar issue with a boarding pass when cracked my phone screen. Since then I look for the past to find solutions to modern problems namely cash and physical documents.
  7. Commendable effort but once again it’s barmy the fans have to step in to provide common sense solutions to problems of the clubs own making. It’s their job yet once again beholden to fans donating their time and common sense. ”They immediately conceded that the message hadn’t been conveyed in an appropriate manner”. - if only we had a competent head of marketing to make sure such mistakes didn’t happen. When they fail time and time again on the little issues it’s no wonder they can’t ever get the big things right. Re the timing of the fans take over the cynic in me thinks they do it on purpose. I seem to recall they did something irritating before the girona game. Even though there’s plenty of club officials who are paid very handsomely to do seemingly naff all at least the fan groups are still bringing some sense to proceedings.
  8. Far too much effort. I’d rather just make it difficult for fans to attend saving £5 in printing tickets.
  9. Quite. If and until someone can provide tangible evidence as to why he is a credit to the club and not useless I shall continue to believe he’s a coffee bean fryer promoted well beyond his ability. Going off the evidence I’m seeing he’s utterly useless. I’m sure he’s a decent bloke who rescues stray dogs in his spare time but as head of marketing it’s embarrassing
  10. Im sure we all tell fibs on the CV but this guy clearly has no shame to tell a whopping lie like that.
  11. So it’s the same plank who’s in charge of retail and ticketing. It was bad enough when assumed it was 2 different muppets. No kiddies home kits in for the start of the season or Xmas. Now making the ticketing a shambles. Considering there’s some pretty stiff competition this guy could be up there as the most useless ewood employee, definitely much more suited for his role at Costa coffee frying beans.
  12. Just read that frasier read article. Where on earth do they keep finding these cretins. It’s unbelievable for a business to keep misreading the room across every aspect of pleasing their customers. If I was deliberately trying to conceive a moronic idea I couldn’t actually beat what these dummies put into action. Christ only knows whats left on the cutting room floor at hq.
  13. It’ll be some teenage kid who pays for everything on his watch. Totally forgetting there’s an entire generation of fans who are unable or unwilling to download a ticket to their smart phone or print one off at home. I know for a fact my old man couldn’t figure that out nor have the inclination to try. And, a lot of people that won’t be able to afford to go to football over Christmas (let’s call a spade a spade particularly in the Blackburn area). They will have looked at that match for cheaper tickets at a tenner. Those same people might simply not have access to internet, smart phones, Apple wallets, printers and all that crap. Another own goal from the inept commercial team.
  14. Somebody was telling me about this in the ground yesterday. I thought to myself what a load of bollocks. It’s not that a didn’t believe him but I thought there’s just no way. Not even the numpties at rovers would enforce a policy that will 100% have a negative impact on an already likely low attendance. Where do they dream up this crap. It’s like they want to lose money. It’s up there with not having kiddies home shirts available for the start of the season and Xmas. Or closing the Bburn end. They’re just a bunch of feckless morons they really are.
  15. I might have guessed that was clearly some sort of happy hour price. My round £4.90 each. Win some lose some.
  16. In a bar called London road brew house. £3.50 for an Amstel. Can’t argue with that particularly down south where in my experience prices start at over a fiver
  17. Managed to take Gloucestershire from division 1 to the bottom of division 2 with 2 wins in 2 years. On the face of it it looks like another bottom draw appointment but best of luck I suppose.
  18. It’s not a jobs for the boys appointment which I’m glad about. But that said I’m slightly underwhelmed particularly as had a piss poor effort at Gloucestershire
  19. Truth is at most clubs one death spiral finishes you. The fact he was allowed to have 2 season here is the anomaly. He did far more there than he did here but Sunderland fans and owners demand success. He was never going to last although I’m sure he ingratiated himself with some of their fans with uncle Tony loves you routine and a tangible measure of “success” with getting into the playoffs
  20. Just picking the bones out of next seasons Lancs fixtures. From the 4th of July to the 22nd of August there’ll be no county championship cricket whatsoever. No proper cricket at OT for over 3 months. The 50 overs is still reduced to a 2nd xi comp There’s also 3 t20 “double headers” with the women and 2 on a workday. So no doubt operation ‘we know no one turns up to watch women’s cricket without bolting it on to the men’s fixture so we’ll put the men on during the day so no so no sod can go’ will be in full swing. Any more of those shenanigans and with everything else I think could well be my last year where I get a membership. Also I see Graham onions has gone back to Durham. That will be a blow to the hierarchy as he was the easy “the answer may well lie within” boring jobs for the boys appointment.
  21. A rovers away win does make for a good Saturday evening and the cherry on the cake is always the dingles losing. But when it’s a thumping away win and the dingles lost having been leading in the dying embers of the game. Plus for the same to happen to nob end. Decent day.
  22. I’m enjoying the cameraman panning onto all these glum Indian faces but that’ll soon turn to annoyance when show the convicts celebrating. If only both could lose.
  23. I just can’t go as far as saying I wanted Australia to win but I’m glad India lost (will lose). 2 thoroughly unpleasant sides with intolerable fans. Unfortunately one had to win but looking at it a glass half full one lost. If compiled a cricket xi of prats it’s almost exclusively players from these 2 teams.
  24. A feeble effort at a minutes silence there due to the odd numpty. I hope it was coming from the knob end side of the ground.
