  1. Has no one thought to get some of Venky's connections in the business world to sponsor/advertise at Ewood? Although the 'Venky's' logo is toxic, no one really caress who is putting money into the club
  2. This about sums things up. Such a shame that the club (waggot & stooges) turned their back on loyal rovers people.
  3. when the DE was reserected by Ben Summer, we weren't intetested in being by the away support... it was S01.The corner of the DE. Purely to try to improve the poor atmosphere around Ewood.
  4. There were games last season that were memorable for the support and passion... Shrewsbury springs to mind. Probably a game that reminded me of what being in the DE was all about. I did have a look ay the JWL W02 and realised how unsuitable it is for us to be there (because of the age/disabilities of the supporters) I also did notice some elder supporters that seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere. What you seem to forget is the frustration that is felt because of the move and literally having nowhere in the ground that feels like 'home'. Such was the feeling after the DE closure, there was lots of discussion with my kids if we should even bother with the season tickets.
  5. Putting the away fans upstairs in DE would surely be less expensive (not by much, i'd wager) due to the fact that the there wouldn't need to be security between them and the pitch (not that it is of much use).
  6. We all support the club by going to games ect. When the match starts, there is a difference. Do you think your support counts for much by sitting silently, spectating? Yesterday, the usual headsof security/police were by the side of W01 watching to see what 'we' would get up to. They didn't stay long as they knew that, for them, it was 'job done'. They'd got rid of what had been a nuisance. I applaud the post where someone acknowledges the fact thay the reason there's been no support from the club with relocation is because they wanted to break the support up, so it is scattetrd abd ineffectual as a point of vocal dissent. All through the years of the DE, home fans were treated as hostiles. Our support isn't valued.
  7. because our new MD decided that he wants to promote away support (true story).
  8. Arrogant. This from somone who sits in the JWU. Someone who just sits and watches a game IS a spectator. In your description of 60+, i'm surprised you didn't throw in any women and children ?
  9. the Riverside seemed to be a bit empty today?
  10. (dunno what the tent was all about)
  11. as i feared... it's pretty awful in the JWL. A decent amount but too many who aren't supporting. The BBE it is ?
  12. Should be 3 down Dack and Palmer occupying the same space a lot of the time Too slow and predictable. Dreading it when Graham goes off and we bring Samuel on
  13. last season we got Armstrong and that proved to a good.
  14. You'd expect 'competition' to mean something. Since signing, Bell has had little game time (opinions on his impact are mixed). Would you be happy if you were Bell (and expected to be wanted)
  15. you'd stick with Williams (even after his inept defending, last week?) I do wonder just why TM bought Bell.
  16. First game at home. I'm not sure about Millwall. They did okay last season. Predictions?
  17. I'm only sorry that the '?' isn't available anymore as this is beyond amusing. Football is all about being 'packaged'. You are nothing but a unit to the likes of waggot Communal celebrations and togetherness' wow, the BBE has certainly changed since i was last in their. Usually, it's a bunch of unenthused spectators sat being quiet. When waggot made the announcement of closing the DE he could've said 'we are opening a srction in' xxx'(my preference would've been in Riverside side of the BBE) and season ticket holders are welcome there.
  18. Things at the club had changed last summer (with venkys backing the manager) and there was a new belief around the club before waggot. We have need someone other than Mr bean-counter at the club, and again this was done because of TM in charge waggot closed the DE. He didn't talk to any fans about it, didn't even do anything (even after saying he would) to help with a new section Fresh air? just more hot air.
  19. whose decision was it? He came aboard January ish? We were well on our way to being promoted. How has he improved it errr 'two fold'. The whole Darwen End debacle is what he's done. That's it. Unless you know something I don't what else has he done (that wouldn't of normally been done in the everyday running of the club). So. HE has stated he closed the Darwen End. He didn't have the decency to contact the season ticket holders who were affected until there was some feedback from his decision. His promises to help the supporters effected have proven false. Time will prove him wrong in his estimation of the amount of away fans. And lets not forget the amount of season tickets he was aiming to sell. A fail.
  20. waggot came aboard a few months back. Just what has he done (that was already being done) We were on the way to being promoted before he came. Mowbray had a good connection with the owners. What has waggot done to earn your praise??
