  1. funny how you've never posted but you seem to have quite the opinion about this. Someone who sites in the Riverside calling fans who actually support their team, 'tinpot' and 'embarrassing' is laughable. Don't blame the fans for trying to do something positive.. the club (waggot and accountant) is culpable in not doing anything about this.
  2. mrssusan (or whoever you are). Home Supporters, who have been going in the DE for many seasons, aren't isolating themselves. We just preferred to go somewhere with a better atmosphere than the dead BBE. The idea was, and still is, to get the more vocal supporters to come together. Just because the BBE found its voice in the latter part of this season doesn't take away from the fact that going into the bbe to (vocally) support the team died many seasons ago. If the club (or more directly waggot) had made an effortyo engage with season ticket holders in the DE before announcing the decision to close it then the idea to move to N01/N05 could have been better explored. As it is, his attitude towards the JWL move is just paying lip-service to the few fans that had already started organising it. The comment about a small section of fans being ineffectual against vocal away followings is correct (we have already been moved to the JWL on many occasions, already). But i'd rather be with a group of people who will support the team (and not just when things are going OK) than to be sat with a bunch of fickle, whinging spectators in any part of the ground.
  3. the quality of the UMBRO kits has been poor, last few seasons. Tops don't last a season without bobbling/pulls in the material. (with minimal wear) I have older UMBRO tops from the last time they were our suppliers and they ate still going.
  4. I suppose it depends on what you term as 'trouble' I've not seen any (apart from reacting to aggression from away fans). Keep the away fans in the ground. Put them upstairs to negate the support It's ridiculous that the club wants to give away the advantage of playing at home
  5. that's me and my lads in for a season!!!!!!!!!! in W01.
  6. I think it will just be a case of waiting to see where people are going. At the moment, i'm undecided as I go with my 2 grown-up sons... one likes the atmosphere)/singing/standing whereas the other wants to go back to the BBE
  7. it might well be but with no guidance from the club and only Social Media to go on, the opportunity to sort things out looks likely to be missed.
  8. I wonder how many seats are 'available' Very few people want to go in the JW Upper (but has the largest proportion of vacant seats). Only the Riverside, BBE lower and the W01 W02 of the JW lower have availability. No one really wants to go into W01 as it's got poor viewing angles
  9. it isn't (just) about the banter. When S01 started out, it was because the BBE was sterile (a byproduct of seating).. The club doesn't have to net over any part of the JWL, it could do that to in DE (if at all).
  10. that's logic turned on its head. Why not have away fans in the DE upper, leaving the lower for home fans. I won't be going in any upper tier.
  11. `I wonder why, in this new age of 'connecting with the fanbase', there wasn't any communication from the club? Apart from a general press release, there still hasn't been any communication between the club and season ticket holders, affected. Was this an 'initiative' of Waggott?
  12. The logical conclusion to your way f thinking is.. What's the point of having a football team at all? Owners are losing money. The whole ground is empty. The BBE has found its voice when we started becoming successful but for the most part the atmosphere is dead. Close Ewood. Pal
  13. can i have £50 please. It's less than a £1 a week. It isn't a lot (in your opinion)
  14. just where were these supporters, that the club's relying on, earlier on this season. Reading that it's s good idea to try to attractive as many *away fans as possible is laughable Where were these (hypothetical) away fans the last time were in the Championship (or the prem for that matter). Reading how many on here (who are unaffected by the move) accept anything the club says is sickening. The new price for the season ticket is fast approaching the highest that we've ever charged yet hardly anyone complains. Let’s see how many of these errrr 'supporters' are around come October when we're struggling.
  15. Very disappointing to see that the DE is finished for home fans. I've thought on this for a few hours since I heard the news and it really feels like an end to me buying a Season Ticket When you add that to the ridiculous increase in prices, it's like the idiots who are now running the club could care less about the fan base.
  16. If the club increases the cost of the season tickets then it will deter people from getting one. I'd hope that the club would be brave and go the opposite way and reduce ticket prices to encourage more season tickets to be sold. (some hope, I know)
  17. nothing said on Radio Lancs except a comment on HIS winning ratio (3 out of 22)
  18. CONDOLENCES TO THE MAN'S FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
