Good to have Lenihan and Nyambe back but to not have BBD, Gallagher and Dolan all potentially unavailable is a problem. Poveda would have to step it up significantly to make any reasonable impact. They seem to be under the impression they should be pushing for the league title, champions league and cups. Ashley didn't invest enough to make that a reality, apparently. The rhetoric on social media now is, they are a sleeping giant which has now been woken. Other clubs, like Chelsea or City weren't as big a club as them prior to their takeovers and are therefore less deserving of billions of £'s worth of investment. It's OK though, they have got their club back. And by that, I mean, they've sold it to Saudi Arabia.

Exactly but for whatever reason Newcastle fans deserve to be the richest club in the world. What about clubs like us? 11 years of complete mismanagement completely disregarded. What about the Derby, Bolton, Wigan, Bury fans etc who have been through way more than Newcastle. Ashley hasnt been a great owner, no disputing that but there are a lot worse out there.

Where has this myth come from? Just read a tweet saying "No other fan base deserves success as much as Newcastles" Wtf?

My disliking for Newcastle is more at a personal level as a lot of my mates that i grew up with are all Newcastle supporters and it was unbearable at times with some of the crap they came out with. So seeing them become the richest club in the world is a nightmare for me. I've always had the fact that we have won the PL to fight back with but they might very well get bankrolled to the title soon. Happy to see the status quo get disrupted, just not by Newcastle.
