It feels like Gestede has picked out VI for the "project" and he'll be backing him for the full 3 years of his contract. I don't envisage any situation occurring for the rest of the season that would result in his dismissal, and I include relegation in that. Only chance he's going if Pasha is stabbing everyone in the back right now in India (and he will be) and putting a case forward that he can salvage everything and turn it all around. That would probably be the end for both VI and RG.

We have some tough and also some critical fixtures between now and the Watford game: Millwall - Tough Middlesbrough - Tough Sheff Wed - Critical Wrexham - Critical Charlton - Critical Ipswich - Tough Swansea - Critical Watford - Boycott I don't see us picking up many points across those whole set of fixtures but there could be some devastating losses in there. If we're in the bottom 3 by the time Watford come to town, we might very well get a lot of fans boycotting.

I always assumed, though could be wrong, that clubs like Brighton, Brentford etc. started off buying players for lower fee's, selling those for good money, using that money to buy more expensive players than the first lot cost, sell those, reinvest, rinse, repeat. So like, you'd buy a player for £2m, sell for £10m, then buy a player for say £5m out of the profit, sell for £20m etc. etc. (they are example figures that i've just made up) Rovers just wanna buy for £500k, sell for a profit and then buy more players for £500k.
