I'm just going to sit here and assume he classes wing backs as an attacking option. The formation he implemented relies heavily on having very good wingbacks to form part of the attack. When Alebiosu is back, we are sorted on the right but as it stands we have no good option on the left. And we'd still; need a backup for both sides.

The perennially injured Scott Wharton being the only contract extension they've managed in what, 2 and 1/2 years? tells you that none of the above will be signing on again. If they can't even get a bang average player like Ryan Hedges onto a new contract, something is definitely amiss.

Although I don't wish injury on any player, this isn't great news as far as i'm concerned, so we might get Hedges back for the last 5 games of the season, which means we won't bother to sign a LWB in January. Hedges is out of contract in the summer anyway, we need a LWB urgently

I don't think anyone else is back. I think prior to the Hull defeat, Ismael said Mori and Gudjohnsen were still about 3 weeks away. So probably looking at another 2 weeks before anyone else gets back.

2-0, we're not getting close to this lot now. We barely have a goal in us and we haven't strengthened any position we've needed to in January thus far. The defence can't hold out forever and it will crack at some point.
