  1. Dingles very much pushing the narrative that they only spent £18m, Transfermarket has them down as spending £55m. I must be missing something here?
  2. Dolan has (rightly) had his critics over the last few season, feels like we've put all the work in developing him as a player and now someone else is going to reap the benefits of all our work. Poor, from the club side that we haven't protected our investment. He'll assess his options as a minimum but on a free (even with a small fee to us) he'll have plenty of choice where to move and he'll get better wages at most other clubs.
  3. Agreed. There will be so much going on in this last round of championship fixtures. Just kick back, hope for a Rovers victory and watch the whole lot unfold.
  4. Spurs are absolutely wank 😂
  5. How are they doing this? Why do we just have accept that we can't compete or generate money in any way other than selling anything that's not nailed down? Birmingham might have a bigger fan base but not enough to get anywhere near the levels of clubs with parachute payments.
  6. I think we'll be looking to shift both out but that would depend on if the club actually get any contract offers on the table for Trav, Tronstad and Brittain. Buckley has had repeated chances and has failed to take them. I think JE saw that there is a player in there, and gave him the armband as a way of trying to push him to actually achieve his best, the making of him, if you like. I can only assume that Buckley has got issues with applying himself/knuckling down. JRC is a good player but has 2 big problems, he's constantly injured and he is painfully slow. Hit his stride under JDT but struggled again when JE was here. I'd say both of their time at the club is up but with these clowns in charge, they're probably looking at binning off the better players and keeping the cheaper ones. So who knows, really.
  7. Getting into the playoffs might change his mind possibly? But personally I think he's done here (after the sheff utd game, obvs)
  8. Superb result, to come from a goal down and win isn't something we do that we do very often. Keeps us in with a shout and it's awesome to be going into the final day with something to play for, even if it's unlikely.
  9. Bell now kicking out Coventry players, got away with a yellow but not sure why players are doing this when this ref has already given 2 reds.
  10. Definitely doesn't seem to fit "the way we want to play" bollox that the clubs pushing.
  11. Walsh, the stupidest footballer on earth right now. Never a sending off in a million years mind you. Needless though.
  12. Aasgaard looks a good player though!
  13. But we want Luton to win so it drags PNE further into the mire.
  14. I think PNE's saving grace is that Hull and Derby play each other. Although a Derby win really puts some teams in danger. Plymouth simply have to win though, a loss today and they could be toast. 🤞PNE are in serious trouble by the days end.
  15. I like the slow motion replay, when you can see the Dingles realisation that it's going in, mouths open, teeth missing, 12 fingers on their heads in disbelief. Rovers fans next to them going crazy.
  16. They'll get extensions because they are cheap, short term deals and we need a squad. The ones that won't get new deals will be Trav, Tronstad, Brittain and Hyam as they'll all want good wages.
  17. Emotion plays a huge part in goals, generally speaking though. Weimann's must have been the first goal we've scored past them in 10 years. The others are good goals but none of them compare to Weimann's. Not only was it a superb hit, look at what it meant to us Rovers fans. A vote for any other goal is utterly insane.
  18. Not sure why they are expecting us to be on board with this project. We've been here before, they then sold Adam Wharton and Szmodics but instead of reinvesting some of the money into players, who can then be sold on in the future, the money was just put into the running costs of the club to stop the owners from spending. Not a sustainable model and certainly not the fabled Brentford model they've previously referred to.
  19. The significant investment and Kargbo are back for this one
  20. If it was a good number, I expect the club would have shouted from the rooftops about it by now.
  21. Really appreciate you posting this, i've still not watched it and now I probably won't bother. The aim is purely to use the academy to develop players, only to sell them in the future, which in turn stops the owners having to put any money into the club. Results are secondary. Absolutely zero ambition and it's all just to stop Venky's having to fund us. Season ticket sales are going to tank spectacularly.
