  1. I wouldn't normally say this because the manager has ultimate responsibility but the players were just as pathetic last night. Apart from one or two, most of them showed very little pride or fight - and for a professional footballer, that is completely unacceptable Where were the leaders rallying the troops to keep the heads up and battle to the end? All we have is a team of shrinking violets. No professional team should lose 7-0, especially at home If he had anything about him, Mowbray should be reading the riot act today
  2. First question by a journalist with his Rovers nose to the ground after last night's match should have been Well, Tony. That was the worst home defeat in the club's history - are you considering resigning? After the denial the second question should have been Rovers fans will be feeling dejected and humiliated tonight. Are you going to apologise to them?
  3. Howe left Burnley because his wife didn't like living "up nawf" - how's she going to cope with the delights of Wallsend?
  4. Another factor in a capitulation like that is the lack of leadership on the pitch Where were real pros fighting tooth and nail for their own pride and that of the club and showing that they really care? I didn't (m)any
  5. Brilliant post from David Speedie Sounds like he's a Rovers fan. All credit to him
  6. Worst defeat I've personally witnessed was a 5-0 home defeat by ManU in the 1965-66 relegation season. We were well beaten by a fantastic team but the Rovers players never gave up Tonight was far worse, it feels like a watershed, which it should be for the manager and the club
  7. Worst defeat at home in the history of BRFC I believe Come on down Tony
  8. Worst defeat at home in our history? Tony should walk if he had any shame
  9. Any decent chairman (if we had one) would haul Mowbray in after the game and demand an explanation And then sack him
  10. Managers should get sacked for performances like this It's embarrassing
  11. Come on, we haven't turned up at all
  12. It's like watching a Championship team against a League 2 team We've been that poor
  13. Tony looks nonplussed. He's Ok though - his pension fund's had a good year
  14. Should be 3-0. This is like a practice match for Fulham
  15. Buckley the one player who might be able to create something and he gets taken off Tony's defending the 2-0
  16. Tonight is why we need a new manager
  17. Buckley off, not Johnson ???????
  18. By heck, now it's a red. All going swimmingly on live TV
  19. Who said Fulham wouldn't fancy a cold and wet Wednesday night in Lancashire?
  20. Two pathetically soft goals really, both from poor defending rather than Fulham's brilliance. It's all so predictable
  21. That's why they're top and we're not
  22. Mitrovic free header Too easy
  23. Thanks Mrs Rothwell. Keep sniffing the glue
  24. Tony's got this all wrong again.... team looks disjointed
