  2. Back to Black - Amy Winehouse
  3. Beautiful article by Jim Wilkinson, poignant and well written. How do players cope when they cannot play anymore, the adulation stops and no one wants to know them ? Chris Thompson was a fine player for Rovers and he always be remembered by those who watched him play.
  4. Used to see him having a kickabout at Pleasington on Sunday mornings the day after a Rovers match ! What's the Story Morning Glory - Oasis
  5. Mighty Quinn- Manfred Mann cover version Don Martin - Ewood Park faithful 1966 - 71 (approx)
  6. Bye Bye Baby - Bay City Rollers
  7. Why couldn't he get himself that fit when he was a so-called professional cricketer ? Great player for a very short period but if he'd looked after his body better instead of boozing and overeating he might still be wearing the red rose of Lancashire and England and indulging in his favourite occupation of smashing Australian bowlers all over the cricket field instead of making a fool of himself in the boxing ring. .
  8. My Way - Frank Sinatra (and others)
  9. Knock Three Times - Tony Orlando
  10. Johnny Be Goode - Chuck Berry

  12. In the Summertime - Mungo Jerry
  13. Long-haired Lover from Liverpool - Jimmy Osmond (oh dear)
  14. I was at that Wimbledon match in 1985 - shouldn't be too hard on Rovers as the 'Crazy Gang' were in their pomp at the time. Wish I'd met Tonto - sounds an interesting chap.
  15. Two of those were up before the Race Relations Board. Very good at supporting Celtic. Disappeared since we went into decline.
  16. Autumn Song - Manic Street Preachers
  17. Thunderbirds Are Go - Busted
  18. From the LET: the 23-year-old will be forced to watch Rovers’ trip to Derby County tomorrow from the sidelines, as well the next 14 Championship games after that, after it was stipulated he could play for no other club during his four month temporary stay at Palace. Not that Goodwillie will make much difference even if he were available, but I find it staggering that he cannot play for 14 matches for the club that is actually paying his wages. Who negotiates these deals ???
  19. Ocean Drive - Lighthouse Family
  20. Disco Inferno - The Trammps
