  1. Another shocking performance last night – it started off well, but, as usual it got worse as the long ball game, misplaced passes and sloppy defending came in. Sweden should have won easily, hitting the bar twice and having 3 cleared off the goal line. Why the hell has Eriksson taken Walcott? When Owen fell on his own knee, he put a yellow carded senior player on who he wanted to leave out of last nights game (Crouch) instead, then brought a midfielder on for Rooney? He should have taken Defoe AND Ashton…. We don’t need 3 goalkeepers in the squad The guy is clueless! I never thought I would find myself saying this, but I actually hope the over-rated Ferdinand is fit for Sunday…. Campbell, another example of a player lacking match practice and fitness was absolutely appalling – no wonder Arsenal are set to show him the exit door this summer. What has he done to get in the England squad? So, we have 4 strikers….. Crouch is on a yellow card and teetering on suspension, Rooney isn’t match fit and looks way off the pace, Owen is crocked and Walcott we’ve never seen; then again, neither has Eriksson!! Its about time, we played an anchoring midfielder (Carrick), allowing Gerrard and Lampard to push on and support Rooney (lets pray to God he gets fitter, and improves). There is no point these 2 attacking midfielders, who scored about 40 goals between them last season should be playing deep midfield; if so, there are a number of midfielders who could do the same job as them 2; we need to play to our strengths!
  2. COME ON ENGLAND!!!! And did those feet in ancient time Walk upon England's mountains green? And was the holy Lamb of God On England's pleasant pastures seen? And did the Countenance Divine Shine forth upon our clouded hills? And was Jerusalem builded here Among these dark Satanic Mills? Bring me my Bow of burning gold: Bring me my Arrows of desire: Bring me my Spear! O clouds unfold! Bring me my Chariot of fire. I will not cease from Mental Fight, Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand Till we have built Jerusalem In England's green and pleasant land.

  11. I have a theory…. England do sh** in World cup and then Europeans; FA can turn around and say…well Mcclaren coach then Manager not working out…then that will be just on time to draft in Wenger…or at least someone with a bit more passion…he moves on a little more than Sven on the touchline!!!! GUTTED…no chance under McClaren or I’ll dye my hair red!!
  12. Based on last year, we will come into the Uefa Cup around 15th September. The draw around 26th August..... Link: http://www.uefa.com/uefa/news/Kind=16384/newsId=306043.html
  13. Arsene wont be considered as one of the selectors is David Dein, a board member at Arsenal
  14. Martin O'Neill has a touch of lunatic genius about him and is a proven motivator of often-average talent. He's passionate and has massive self-belief. He's inspired loyalty at both Leicester and Celtic and players respect him. In all these aspects he is in a different league to McClaren.
  15. Rovers face expulsion from Uefa Cup....... UEFA have confirmed they have made steps to remove Blackburn Rovers from next seasons Uefa Cup. It is believed, Lennart Johannsen, head of UEFA has met FIFA president Sepp Blatter amid concerns Blackburn weren't big enough to compete. The town team, who were nearly relegated last season have been turned around this season, under the guidance of ex Manchester United stalwart Mark Hughes. However, Uefa believe Blackburn are a small fish in a big pond, and are set to shoot them out of it. Birmingham City's board of directors first lodged the complaint about Blackburn being too small to compete, despite being relegated themselves. The midlands side, known as ''massive club'' by many neutral fans because of their 30,000 capacity gates at St Andrews. The club, with over a 1,000,000 population to choose from, have been praised by many at attracting such a fan base from this size of population to watch the likes of Emile Heskey, Martin Taylor and Kenny Cunningham put in dreadful performances week in, week out. Director David Sullivan, still seething at losing Robbie Savage to Blackburn is said to be delighted at Blackburns proposed expulsion from the competition. It is thought Birmingham will appeal at their relegation to the Championship in the coming weeks, and could even apply for the soon-to-be vacant Uefa cup place. Sullivan, speaking at the launch of his new Dildo, the 'Brucey'. said ''Its about time a club as massive as ours gets recognition for having a superb fan base, an amazing team and a great manager in Steve Bruce who loves spending our money''. More to follow.....
  16. Sunderland got a 0-0 draw at Man United and were already down. Kevin Ball for England??????????????
  17. Another disastrous decision by the FA in appointing McLaren later today....... not only was he second choice, the FA managed to let every man and his dog know they wanted Scolari. A well respected manager, who was already in another job. If me or you applied for another job and the company you applied to was telling everyone, would it be legal? or morally correct? No! Then, we go for McLaren... yes, he's got them into a Uefa Cup final and won the league cup, known as a 'mickey mouse' cup when other teams have won it. Where are they in the league? Have they ever done anything? You could say Boro are a good cup side, but so are Yeovil in the FA Cup. McLaren, in his 5 year tenure as manager of Boro has spent £54m, including the inspired £3m+ signings of Ricketts and Christie.... He's recuperated just £5.15m. Therefore, a league cup and a uefa cup place has cost £48.85m ABSOLUTE JOKE!
  18. Anyone else wearing hawaiian shirts and taking beach balls and other inflatables? LETS PARTY!!!!
  19. Chorley's web site states were playing them in a friendly (@ chorley) on Sat 05/08/2006 @ 3pm Any other rumours / confirmed dates?
  20. Dire last night!!! Passing awful, midfield all over the place, no decent balls into our attackers, Bellamy drifting to wings all time & Bentley playing deep so nothin down middle. I'm always saying it but Zurab just isnt good enough! Its about time Hughes sorted out our passing from defence... because its simply horrendous! Even Friedel has started passing like Matteo. What do they do in training??? Seen remaining fixtures? Newcastle: West Brom (H) Birmingham (A) Chelsea (H) = 6 points? Bolton: Charlton (H) Tottenham (A) Boro (H) Birmingham (H) = 9 points? I reckon we could have blown it! Big big big chance GONE last night against a poor side with Martin Taylor in central defence..
  21. My team for Brum tomorrow.... FRIEDEL NEILL NELSEN TODD GRAY BENTLEY REID TUGAY PEDERSEN BELLAMY KUQI I would drop Savage who has been useless the past few games - chases shadows, huffs and puffs but at the end of the day he is a liability we cant afford. He will be vying for Brum and try to prove a point - and will only end up booked, and therefore useless afterwards. We dont need to risk an easy sending off when we need the 3 points. Bellamy obviously has to start but I dont agree with playing someone the same height as him alongside...especially with the way we have set about teams recently. Why play long balls to short ar*e moaning Dickov and a no-necked Bellamy? Get the balls up to Kuqi if were gonna play that style... even if its just something to hit. We all know he's about as useful in front of goal as a lump of concrete but at least he is actually somewhere near the ball and could cause problems for defenders, like at Boro away when he bullied their defence. Is Tugay fit? if so - get him in there to play telling balls. We've missed him LOADS since he's been out. I'd love to say play another left back ahead of Gray but who else have we got apart from Matteo? No - one. Gray's positional play is horrendous, and basically non-existant. Get Todd back to replace Zurab. Dont rate him - he cant handle pace and messes about with it on the edge of our own box instead of getting rid / clearing it?! This is arguably our biggest and most important of the season... blow this game and we could blow a European place! Prediction, with my team: 3-1 to Rovers.lol. With same side as Sunday... 2-0 Brum.
