  1. Already eagerly awaiting chaddys list of Neil Harris, Des Buckingham, Ian Evatt, Garry Monk and Kyle McFadzean as managers that we should look to interview ASAP to keep our top 6 push going. And the annual review of our inevitable finish well outside the top 6 when it will be put down to Eustace's refusal to change formation and sign player x in January as to why we stumbled down the table.
  2. I dont see him generating much. Some serious injuries and no longer a talented youngster. Certainly wont be Premier League interest. Pears for a couple of million is a hilarious hope too.
  3. Kargbo was one of the players that had an impact. And clearly offers more than Hedges and Dolan, not that its hard to.But I meant across the team. We are a long way from that 6 game run where it felt like everything was done to precision.
  4. You say see the project through. What project? Operation strip down every element of the club to claw back as much money as possible because the owners dont care.
  5. Again the focus seems to have moved to Waggott and Suhail. 2 enabling cretins but the reason that this club has had any ambition stripped from it and has a team cobbled together full of cheap players, freebies and loanees is Venkys. Everything else is small fry.
  6. The game has become immaterial because of the off field shit show. But it wasnt enjoyable. They could and should have had more in that second half. We had that 6 game spell where we knew the team, everything was perfectly well drilled and meticilously planned. Today felt like what it was, a side of cheapos cobbled together, constantly giving the ball away on a terrible pitch (thanks again Venkys). Toth is another Wahlstedt, an absolute disaster. Forshaw, less said about him the better. Cantwell is becoming more and more of a terrible signing. Kargbo gave us pace at last even if his end product wasnt there. Ribiero was steady enough. Dennis yes is unfit but his general demeanour is of a player half arsed, not up for the rough and tumble, definitely isnt a proper number 9. I certainly take no pride in not being thumped by the mighty Wolves at home.
  7. If he goes. Who do you direct your anger at? The club for being enough of a mess for him to to go or Eustace himself for leaving.
  8. Its not about being a charity. Its about communicating with a player prior to a point where he is left in limbo. Your judgement is clouded because you dont rate the player. I dont rate him either.
  9. Its not a professional way to handle things. If we had any semblance of order, we should have known that there was a chance that he wouldnt have been registered, even if he had been registered by default he cant be in the managers plans. He could have been told that, and then the options are to actively seek a move before the window closed, the more likely scenario was to come to an agreement to terminate his contract, or he could even say no I want to stay for the rest of my deal in which case hes got no reason to complain.
  10. They cant, not if they are released outside of the transfer window. A club outside of a transfer window can only register free agents who were free agents during the last transfer window, not ones released since. He could join a club in a country where the transfer window is still open, for example Scandanavia, but he hasnt got free reign. The fact that he didnt know before the window closed and we hadnt decided before the window closed is piss poor.
  11. We could have told him prior to the end of the window that he was not going to be registered. Even if we rip up his contract. Hes very limited in terms of which clubs he can play for this season. Only ones where the transfer window is still open.
  12. Youve shown frustration that we spent peanuts. Youve criticised the inability to sign players on longer contracts. You agreed that the timing of the signings and the time needed to get the players up to speed is a concern. There are a number of players (BTA, Schlupp etc) who you clearly would have preferred. Yet you think we had a decent window. Something doesnt add up.
  13. Is the next round midweek again? If so, another attempt to ruin the FA cup.
  14. He has been a waste of space, but hes not wrong to be aggrieved. To be told he wont be registered after the window (another disorganised mess) is yet more shoddy treatment.
  15. Not as it stands we arent. We havent held up well. We have 8 points in 11 games.
  16. "Defeatist attitude." Why does it have to come down to attitudes, defeatist, negative etc. Its not a counter argument.
  17. Hmm, I thought surely there is no chance he goes to Derby. But if they are going to officially approach him, surely theyve had some encouragement. Either way, he is clearly not happy here.
  18. He wont go to Derby, but theres no coincedence that hes linked to every vacant Championship job.
  19. Its depressing that the first thought is the financial benefits though. We are football fans, to win an FA Cup would be something that you remember fondly for the rest of your life. It likely would never be topped in the next 50 years. It would be better financially to get promoted, however theres nothing to suggest the owners would suddenly be willing to sell up. We would likely go up and back down and would be better off financially (or at least the owners would be) but does that outweigh the memories of winning the FA cup? Every game isnt a cup final in the Premier League. If you was to win at home to Palace, it wouldnt feel half as good as winning a cup final. Even if we won at Old Trafford it wouldnt.
  20. Exactly. They wouldnt swap that FA cup which they will remember forever as the pinnacle of supporting their club just for another season on the gravy train. You arent going to tell the grandkids about that season you avoided relegation.
  21. Watford fans said that he had a bad attitude when he had his unsuccessful loan spell there last season. And please dont tell me that you dont care what other fans think, I know you dont, in this instance you specifically asked. I definitely didnt say that we didnt need a left back. We do need one. The positions we have signed players in are the ones we needed to be filled. But... The timing of the signings was terrible, most done right at the end of window with only 15 league games left, when we have continued to lose game after game in the meantime. The lack of match sharpness is a concern coupled with the timing. Dennis and Woodrow in particular have played very little game time for so long. Getting them up to speed when we have only a third of the season left is a problem. The quality is debatable and the jury is still out. It feels like it was a case of getting who we could in more than anything else, it didnt seem well planned and cant be hence the registration issue. We badly needed immediate cover for our main 2 midfielders. We failed there. We have brought in attackers and some pace in 2 of them, but 2 of the 3 we signed have not done very much in a number of years and the third has only really excelled in Serie C. We can only hope at least one or two are game changers. And the fact that all but one are short term sticking plasters is another concern. Thats what you get when the owners dont give a shit.
  22. Are they likely to put a second side out? Went basically as strong as they could at Bristol City. Cunha was banned. Obviously one is certainly not happening and the other almost certainly isnt happening any time soon either. But one of the Rovers pages put up a poll earlier, would you rather win the FA Cup or get promoted. I found it incredible that most preferred promotion.
  23. Im sure we will get lots of people saying they dont care but I would really like to win and it is important. I would make a few changes and start all the new players as we havent time to ease them in with cameos, there are 15 league games left and they have to be better than Hedges, Dolan and co. Some of the defenders in particular could do with a rest but we dont have the options without significantly weakening ourselves. Beck is carrying an injury and Travis is just back so they are the 2 I think should be prioritised. Toth Brittain Hyam Batth Ribeiro JRC Buckley ACD Woodrow Kargbo Dennis
  24. Wont be missed. Mind you, a couple of others on the list are in the same boat.
  25. Its the sort of window you expect when again the owners have refused to reinvest any of the considerable sales proceeds. Loads of desperate temporary bodies at the end of the window when their parent clubs had little choice but to accept minimal wage contributions. They are only available for 15 games and will eat into that getting up to speed. Dennis is understandably the most eye catching but its easy to lose focus of the fact that since a decent season 3 seasons ago, hes done nothing since. He has scored 6 goals in that time. There are also question marks about his attitude and he certainly isnt the ruthless goalscorer that the manager wanted. Expectations drop as the window goes on to the point where we start to expect no one at all. So when you bring 2 strikers on deadline day, regardless of any likely impact, people get excited. Its all down to the owners. Could £1m and probably not that much in combined wages have been spent more efficiently? Perhaps, but we needed so many positions simultaneously and we havent adequately filled them all, notably in midfield. I would suggest that the players that Eustace is most keen to get into the 11 arent any of the new signings, its the likes of Tronstad, Carter and Ohashi who will all be rusty themselves.
