The thing that irritates me is the crap they keep replying with about how it's for the fans. Cardiff holds 6k more than Old Trafford so why do they keep harping back to this 30000 people will get to see it nonsense. There won't be 60,000 there for our game it will be more like 40,000 and that's before they move it to the ridicuous 12.00. It's just lies by an incomptent organisation that is ruining our national game.

All the stubborn, selfish barstewards at the FA have to do is move our game to Villa Park or even better Old Trafford and problem solved, you could even have them on the same day. It is an insult for the FA to suggest they are putting the fans first when that is clearly the last thing on their minds. It's just a shambles and really takes the shine off for me.

This is from the Mirror sport website :- ARSENAL vs BLACKBURN: Saturday April 16 MANCHESTER UNITED Vs NEWCASTLE: Sunday April 17 Obviously could be rollocks like.
-
Also I think Sunday would be better in Cardiff, more chilled as most of the Mancs and Geordies would have gone home, whereas Saturday will be murder with all 4 sets of fans there. Bound to be Saturday isn't it?
-
It's bound to be Saturday. Sunday would be ideal for me whereas Saturday will be a major headache work-wise, therefore sods law dictates Saturday it is.

BBC get first pick, not Sky. Although i do wonder how much influence the potential UEFA cup match may have on the decision.

[Archived] The FA Cup.Quarter Final Match Reaction

Just showed it on Sky as part of Andy Gray's round up and he said it was definitely a penalty. Not really sure how you can complain the more I see it, the only thing is that Pedersen tried to keep his feet but the back heel did the defender easily and he had already committed himself. -
More than likely! I think last season's WC semi draw was very dodgy. Seeing as the last two times they were in the semi's together they have drawn each other I find it hard to understand how people believe this is likely.

I'm less worried than I was against Burnley, i felt Burnley were in better form than Leicester are. I have few fears about the complacency of the players. That's not to say I think they will play well as the home game against Burnley showed that we can be ordinary. However confidence must be high at present and I feel couple with the attitude Hughes has instilled in them we will be too strong for them. -

I've been watching the other game but flicking over to Chelsea. There will definitely be more goals but still fancy Barca. When you have the best player in the world in your ranks you've always got a chance. -

Pretty much agree with all of this. It certainly mattered to me and whilst the games were not up to much, the excitement they both generated was great for both clubs. -
Look out for a band called La Rocca, trust me they will be big.

Bothroyd sustained a 'serious thigh injury' within minutes of coming on. He clearly couldn't run after that but it didn't stop him getting grief from some quarters. Sad really. -
Moorings said it was open, tickets only though. Sorry for the lack of witty reply.
-
Saw Embrace last night and they were excellent. Looks like they are getting some well earned success as well if the ticket/record sales are anything to go by.
-
I think this thread just shows the difficulties the club have at times. If they are stringent with their checks they get slated. Burnley fans get tickets in our end and the club get slated. The club could easily just put tickets on sale at 6 per person like Bumley and it would have sold out last week. It's a shame when decent fans like Kamy suffer but what is the alternative. Obviously the staff shouldn't be rude, that goes without saying, but the actual selling has been handled well for me.
-
As of last night the club said we had around 5,000 left. If capacity is down to 30,000 and Burnley have 7,000 then we need to sell 23,000. By all accounts we had sold 18,000 by last night and I can confirm it was busy on the phones at least today so i'd say we would have sold at least another 2-3,000 today. I have few doubts that we will shift the last couple of thousand in the next 2 days.
-
It's not a disgrace at all. Tickets were held for Season ticket holders until today so we could not possibly have sold out unless every season ticket holder goes and sits in their own seat. Add to that the difficulties that have been reported on here and it's understandable. Saying that we had about 5k left apparently and it was a 40 minute wait this morning so i'd say we will be close to sold out by the end of play today.

I would have thought Longsider would have been more concerned about losing to Preston. -
Just go an extra ticket this morning. Had to queue for 40 minutes. I've sent the bill to John Williams and also returned my season ticket, absolute disgrace, sack everybody, especially Lee Grooby. p.s I will always complain if I feel the need, I have before to the club and I will again if necessary. On this occasion by and large the club have done all they can bar a few mistakes. We don't know the ins and outs so can only speculate about the situation but as has been pointed out if every person chooses to ring straight away rather then the club will not cope. We can only use as many lines as we have. What cracks me up is that the majority of complaints have been about length of queueing time but if the club had simply extended opening hours this would not have changed. You can tell people all day long not to all ring on the first day but the majority still will. If the club had opened 24 hours EIT's dad still wouldn't have a ticket, Waggy would still have had to queue for an hour etc etc.

Your post may carry a bit more credibility if it didn't use as an example a person who is on a one-man crusade against the senior management of this club. Possibly because he is bitter at the failure that he has made of his working life but either way that is what is pathetic.
-
Is that the same John Haworth who when confronted with fans oustide Spartak Moscow's stadium who had not been given their tickets, responded that he couldn't help as he'd miss the start of the game?
-
Its not an easier method if you cannot gaurantee to get to every match and have to have the hassle or returning the tickets. Also for some fans here cash is an issue. They need to control their budgets v carefully. They may push the boat out for this match but not v Colchester. Why should the be penalised because they are not cash rich like some people. They will still try and go to every match they can afford. keep up with the debate. Cash rich? It was £10 against bournemouth, £15 v Colchester and the only expensive one was Cardiff when the club did allow you to exchange providing you went down. A bit of hassle but there you go. Add on the fact you don't pay a booking fee either and money is not really an option. Nobody is being punished by the club. I take the chance that I might struggle to get a ticket for a really popular away game whereas those who signed up for the away scheme are guaranteed. Anyway as expected the club have listened and extended the deadline, which is an arse for me as I want to ring up and try and get the seat next to me. Shall I ring up and complain. We may not be a club that sells out every week but you would think that would make people grateful. Instead too many of our fans seem to expect the club to be doing everything for them. Why don't they lay on a taxi, with free beer and free ticket? It's just not fair. p.s.s Nice one waggy!

CUP TICKET SCHEME!!!! SOME PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO BE ON IT Well then some people shouldnn't complain at the club for not having an easier method when there clearly is one.
