Pity he couldn't keep it up. For every Harmison there's a Lewis 325105[/snapback] Or a Gillespie, or a Kasprowicz, or a Watson. It just gets better and better.

They can call it what you want but you'd still be crap at it on that showing. Funnily enough the side that picked their shots and didn't panic were rewarded. The side that did just slog were punished.

I can see the table fine but Glenn just ignores my request to join. -

Palace had their tickets on sale at Christmas and you could even buy your next one as well at the same price. Also big early purchase discounts. Just one of many clubs that come up with ideas that may or may not work. At least they are trying stuff whereas our's have seemingly given up. I won't go over the arguments again but this seasons package just smacked of a belief that we wouldn't attract new people so we might as well milk the existing ones instead. To me it's pretty simple apathy from the club will get apathy from the fans. There is no point telling people that they have to support the club, make it so they want to. If that means financial incentives then fine but do something. -

Yes but that wasn't official as the contracts hadn't been signed. Presumably they have now. -

Mouth-piece? He is a very highly paid mouth-piece. He is a Chief Exec and as such is responsible for the running of Blackburn Rovers as a business. He gets paid handsomely for what is a lot of responsibility. That also makes him accountable for the state of the club and it's decisions. You show me any other business that would have poor performance and the Chief Exec would be exempt from criticism. -

Grow up muppet? If that is the sole contribution you can make then I suggest it's you that needs to grow up. John Williams is the Chief Exec and is ultimately responsible. That is what business is all about. Do you know how much JW is on? Or are you happy just to blindly hand money over and not be concerned at how it is being used? -

I've stuck up for him many times but in that article John Williams is taking the p1ss. The board cam up with the most unimaginative package ever and he complains about a lack of fans. In any line of business when you are struggling financially the worst thing you can do is try to cope by putting prices up. It ignores the real problems and only ends up causing more. Why could we not look to clubs that are increasing their attendances and see what they are doing. If JW has run out of ideas then maybe he should pack it in and let someone else have a go. -

On the Rockstar games site it announces the release date for Xbox is 7th June but on all the sites like Amazon it says it's the 10th. Why the discrepancy and which is correct? Anyone know? -

Probably off topic but interesting crowd of under 20,000 for the 3rd division play off final. Hope the FA lost money. Do you think they will take note over ticket prices and location? Will they rollocks. -

There will be 5 games at the A+ category. We may well be competitve compared to other clubs but we will undoubtedly lose numbers and almost certainly gain very few new holders with these prices. -

Well look at at this way then. If you had a cow that was on it's last legs. Would you think of ways of getting back to good health, or would you milk every last drop out of it. It's no good pointing to those other cows in that posh field and saying how much better you treat your's. It's still a dying cow no matter how cheap it is. This season needed imagination and we got stale p1iss instead from our board. -

You're probably right RIML most will renew. It's the complete lack of imagination that upsets me. It's like they have accepted they won't attract new fans so they'll milk the present one's for all they can. -

£480 for mine upfront or £513 direct debit. I could save a fortune by moving but I know I wouldn't enjoy the view anywhere near as much. Have to think long and hard about this one. Also A+ wtf is that all about. -

Really chuffed for Liverpool after all the stick they have had to come back from 3 down was a great effort. Can't wait to go into work tomorrow and see the faces of those mancs. -

It just mentions that there is a long standing agreement to play us but as it also mentions that there is the same thing with Everton but it has not been possible to slot in then I would say it will almost certainly not be this pre-season. -

Morecambe away on the 16th July has apparently been confirmed on their site. It also states that we are committed to taking a first team squad. -

Huddersfield not happening now. They have changed and are playing Wigan on the 27th. No space left so we will not be going there. Still nothing more concrete on the Swansea game. -

Not been back long but it was a long day for a pretty average match. Pleased to see McEveley back and look decent. Thommo is the best player in the league at running around in a circle. Other than that there was little else of note to be honest. We were better in the 2nd half than we were in the first half, but we were awful in the first half. Spurs were just poor. Roll on a couple of new strikers. -
[Archived] Glazer Set For Utd
Manchester Blue replied to ainscough99's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
The only way that the TV rights can be split is if the governement or the EU force the issue. 5 clubs cannot go solo as it requires 14 clubs to agree to anything and that is never going to happen. Glazer makes not one jot of difference to the rest of the league as he cannot control the premier league. Only the powers that be can force the change.
