  1. I've not seen any thread about people who fit windows. Where is it?
  2. A few board members are planning on having a beer or two in a place called the Park which has lots of tv's to watch the play off semi as well. Details can be found here All are welcome to join us. If it's crap the Victoria that SteB recommended is only 5 mins away. cheers p.s. We'll be in the lounge bit not the games room.
  3. This is a crucial point. United (as they are) have identified a problem - on match days, the merchandise outlets are doing sh!t business. The reasoning behind increasing OT capacity from the current 67K to 76K is not to increase Season Ticket sales, it's to increase day trippers (mostly from abroad) who will frequent the Megastore and spend their holiday budgets there. Actually the club have taken away a section of tickets usually sold to day-trippers and created a whole new section of LMTB holders for next season. Why? Because demand has been decreasing and they didn't want to risk having unsold seats when they can guarantee money for the season that way.
  4. Any pub recommendatiosn? I know some people went to a weatherspoons last year but I hear it was rammed and not all that great. Anyone got any plans? cheers
  5. According to a Swansea fans site we are playing them on the 30th but one poster suggested we would be taking a mostly reserve side which may indicate we could be playing in Belgium the next day. Also playing Huddersfield on the 27th apparently.
  6. Cracking response from a blues fan on Saturday when told to come back once they had won something. He said what does trophies matter it's fans that count. Typical response from the 'small-time' mentality that certain 'big' clubs seem to attract. In fairness we met a few decent brummies who were pretty sound. Shame about the rest though.
  7. Decent pub near New St called the Newt & Cucumber always has sky games on. If you arrive at New St. head for the Pallisades shopping centre up the escalators then turn left and head for the main exit and as you go down the ramp look to your right for the entrance. Wouldn't advise colours if you want to guarantee entry though.
  8. Jan he has had trouble at every club he has been at, and a number of past team-mates have come out and said so. Of course he will be all smiles when he joins a new club just as Anelka was at Citeh. Sadly it is like waiting for a bomb to explode, you just know it will at some point. If we could get a good season out of him though, i'd be happy for a while.
  9. You can get a train just as easy it costs £1.50 for a return. It takes about 5 or 6 mins and is pretty regular.
  10. You'll struggle to get in any of the pubs near the ground and they are pretty unfriendly anyway. You could drink in the ground last time I went or there are a number of good pubs near Snow Hill which is probably the best way to get there.
  11. The fact that I recieved a childish abusive pm within minutes of me posting the same theory would seem to confirm that view. Shame that an apparently intelligient poster is dragged to such a level because of an obsession is very sad really.
  12. Ha ha ha. Looks like Flopsy hit a nerve there.
  13. If you thought tickets were expensive for the semi then have look at the prices for the final. £90.00 £65.00 £50.00 — Limited Availability £25.00 — Limited Availability unbelievable!
  14. You can't have been at Everton away then when by many reports he was outstanding and a major factor in us winning. Face it Jan if we won 5-0 tonight with 8 goal line clearances and a hat-trick from Amo you would still slate hime for something. It's that attitude which stops people taking your posts on this subject and Souness seriously.
  15. It all means Saints are 8 points behind us with only a possible 12 to play for. An almost impossible task especially with a run in of Portsmouth (A), Norwich (H), Palace (A) & Man U (H).
  16. You seriously think he has played better than Matteo in the last few weeks then? Never mind with stupid you simply are stupid if you can post that rubbish. Who mentioned personalities? I couldn't care less what kind of fella he is I simply want him to defend, something he seems incapable of at times this season.
  17. Neill was at fault for all 3 goals. That is not good in my book, not good at all.
  18. Which was exactly why I laughed out loud when Lawrenson proclaimed today's match as being so much better than ours. Saying it was a great advert for cricket. These clowns really think you should just roll over like Newcastle did and that makes it exciting. Apart from a 10 minute spell I thought today's game was boring and embarassingly one-sided.
  19. Well they are certainly busy now, it took me 30 mins to get through and the girl said it was really busy with people after semi tickets. I said well that must be a good sign, and she grumpily replied, 'I suppose so'. Must be great to enjoy your job.
  20. Allardyce has proved that there is nothing wrong with Davies as long as you play to his strengths, keep his weight off and dont pay 7 million for him. I'd place him behind Grabbi and Dahlin (player was fine but we bought a crock) anytime. However as the title is worst ever Rovers player rather than worst ever player to play for Rovers it is irrelevant what Davies has doen since. For what he cost us and the impact he had it was a disaster, Grabbi was similarly as bad but he had little negative impact. That and he didn't spend his time boozing instead of training.
  21. I've been present to see us win two penalty shoot-outs so must be priveliged. I've also seen us lose at least three sadly. Great preview by the way, one of the best yet.
  22. That was my understanding as well Greggyk. I think only someone getting sent off could now miss the semi.
  23. I don't see how the club could have done anything different. As you can see Arsenal have sold out and they will now be given the whole West Stand so if we had already sold those tickets against the specific instructions of the FA we could have been in line for all kinds of punishment.
  24. I really agree with this. I don't understand the attitude that people have where is someone gets something for less than they did then it's not on. It happens in many other walks of life, holidays, flights etc so football should be the same. You chose to pay what you did. If Rovers could sell the cheap one's and get another few thousand why would it bother some people so much.
  25. If people really want cheap tickets it may be worth hanging on for a bit. As others have pointed out the club have to sell the tickets in a certain order and as such some of the cheap ones round the other side are not on sale yet. If however we sell out all the way across then they will free up some more cheap ones.
