  1. Tris is right to a large extent, there are systems in place to allow people to chill out and not worry about phoning up. The people who are moaning now could easily think next season I could make it easier on the club and myself by joining that scheme but instead they will just moan. Same as those who missed out Burnley away because they either didn't go to 2 away games or didn't get out of bed in time. Is the reaction to make sure it doesn't happen again? No just slate the club instead it's easier.
  2. Automatic cup ticket scheme. It really is very easy, don't blame the club as they put procedures in place if you want to avoid queuing. If you choose not to use those procedures then it's your own fault not the club's.
  3. In terms of quality then probably not but as a team we are more organised and things are definitely looking up. Without wishing to appear condescending I wouldn't swap any of our players for one of yours except possibly Tiatto at a push. I think you should think you have a chance especially if we were to take the game lightly, however I don't think that would happen under Hughes. It's all irrelevant though as we aren't through yet.
  4. Think you may find we have Accrington Stanley to thank for that. Of course you would need to be able to read to work that out. Try getting your facts right first inbred. Will agree about the crowd I thought we were very quiet. Not as bad as Zak and the lads but still very poor.
  5. No it wouldn't but similarly I wasn't overly impressed when walking in a Glasgow bar to be confronted with 'up the IRA' songs. It works both ways and whilst the majority on both sides are not interested in the religious aspect, the vocal minority seem to keep it an issue.
  6. They certainly are the best fans in the land, massive club, massive.
  7. You haven't read your own websites then I take it. As they are awash with dingles looking forward to a win on sunday. Not thinking they have a chance but thinking they are going to win. We are the premiership team of course we should be a little confident. We also have exactly the kind of players suited to this type of game. Before slating the members of this board for their views have a look closer to home.
  8. I've a feeling he may be wrong there. Spoken to a number of people this week who are going but have tickets in the home areas. Spoke to Nicky Reid tonight, and his feeling was he just can't see Burnley stopping Rovers from scoring, this after I'd suggested should Burnley score first we may find it very difficult to get in front. here we go again with the rovers will have half the stands nonesense. Last time you couldn;t sell 4000 and this time - if you are to be believed - you have not only sold around 12000 tickets but 8000 of those people have queued at Burnley to get them Nonesense - You do bite easily don't you?
  9. You're just biased Ben2000!
  10. But that isn't really true is it? I mean yes losing to Liverpool would have been ok because it's just one of those things but no proper Burnley fan can say that losing will be ok on Sunday as it's expected. In fact it would appear that a good few clarets think they have every chance. I don't do predictions and won't this time but I will say that whilst i'm a bit nervous I am very positive because of how Hughes will send them out and because we don't have the kind of players that will take it easy. Don't let us down.
  11. Watching from right in front of it I was not surprised he was just given a yellow. It was poor, but it was so poor that Huckerby saw it coming a mile off and jumped out of the way. Neill just slid along but didn't have his studs up so it would have only been a yellow. Completely pointless and unnecessary really though, pretty much sums Neill up.
  12. We're not talking about black & white you numpty!
  13. Hull v Blackburn is not a derby and that game was not pre Jack. It was the season we came in so about half a season after he had started to put his money into the club.
  14. So what you are suggesting is that Rovers should base their ticketing policy, not on loyalty but on how much money you put into the club. Well I pay more for my season ticket than someone in the Blackburn end so should I get first dibs on tickets then, it's only fair as i'm contributing more aren't I? Obviously it's nonsense, away stubs have always been and always will be the first point of call for deciding loyalty. Every other club does the same but we just dont have situations often where it's difficult to get tickets.
  15. Quite right but as my post said the police would never ever prosecute or even intervene in a transaction of face value or less. They simply are not interested.
  16. I agree to an extent about having to fight to stay up but the players we have were good enough to play very good football against Fulham, Villa (at home), Birmingham amongst others. Right now we seem to have decided it's fight to the death but even with players like Emerton, Thompson and Pedersen we have enough footballers to at least try to play something resembling football.
  17. On almost every other forum you get people offering spares or asking for them, at face value. I can understand the desire to stop any touting but I and others have had spares in the past which have had to go unused because of this. You would not ever under any circumstances be prosecuted for giving a ticket to a fellow fan for face value. We had all this checked out at work by the solictors for the intranet and as long as you are not touting there is no issue. Why the problem?
  18. Pretty much sums up my current view. I'm not blaming Hughes as such as he has to battle with what he has but we have become a club to dislike for many at present. The pundits are mostly lazy and will pander to the public so that is why we will get such a bad press. However our attitude and our tactics are not helping. If we stay up then I won't complain of course but it's just a shame to see us at present to be honest.
  19. Tell me about it! I presume the coaches will arrive at Turf Moor around half 11, does that mean we'll all be in the ground for a couple of hours beforehand again!! Last time was just amazing, no doubt my voice will have gone by the monday morning If it's like last time the coaches will be setting off in groups of 10 and some won't leave Ewood till after 11.30. It's just easier to have one time for all but I doubt we will all be in the ground for 2 hours before.
  20. That was exactly my thoughts when watching MOTD. I have slated Bolton at times this season but if I wasn't a Blackburn fan then at present I would defenitely want us to go down and I'm sure many other fans do.
  21. Things improved but have started to go backwards again. We lost 4-0 to a good Boro & a good Chelsea side. We have just lost 1-0 to a poor Chelsea and an even worse Boro. We have about 3 or 4 players who are well off form, we seem to have reverted to some bizarre 4-5-1 which few seem comfortable in and with Dickov up front alone is never going to result in many goals. We have a problem with goals yet in the last two matches we have had one attacking player on the bench, a young kid who has barely played in the Premiership. We have a proven scorer lacking in confidence who can't even make the bench, surely that can't help. Watching some of the highlights was the first time this season that I have thought we looked the poorest team in the league. I have seen genuine ability in all of the teams around us but nothing to cling onto from our display on Saturday. It is too early to panic but Hughes must address the issues that were clear on Saturday. We must play 2 up front against Norwich, we have to have players playing who are on form and we have to arrange for Lucas Neill to be knee-capped. If those 3 things happen then i'm confident we can get a vital three points on Saturday.
  22. Mark, as Den has asked I would also like to know why he should have been sent off? I was surprised to see Mourinho single him out as he did little wrong last night and certainly not compared to the Bolton match. One foul on Duff which was cynical rather than dirty but I didn't see him give away hardly any free kicks. Won a hell of a lot of tackles though which maybe upset Josie.
  23. After I have calmed down I just see it as typical football hypocrisy and don't really mind that much. It's like Fat Barsteward Allardyce calling Hughes for having a go at one if his players and then the very next game having a go at one of the opposition players. The 2 worst tackles last night were both made by Terry. Yes we put a few in most notably Matteo & Mokoena's but those apart there were no other bad one's.
  24. It'll be interesting to see who Hughes opts for in centre midfield against Boro. Savage likes getting forward, so I wonder if playing him alongside Tommo would be too attack minded. BTW: The commentators on the radio were saying that Tommo stormed down the tunnel on being subbed - did that really happen? He took his time getting off the pitch and did disappear, not convinced he stormed but maybe Manchester Blue could see better from his perch.... He knew he had played badly. He just spat his dummy but he didn't go down the tunnel. Clearly wasn't happy and it was all reminiscent of McAteer to me. A player who thinks he's much better than he really is and can't see any faults. If he would just do the simple thing at times it would be great but instead he always tries silly things that rarely come off and end up with us losing the ball. A very frustrating player at the moment.
  25. Cheers Paul. I just looked on the ticket section which has comments like the Norwich game will be postponed if we draw with Colchester and the Liverpool game may be postponed if they get to the final. Having up to date info is not top of the priorities obviously.
