  1. For all those in disgust that we're giving Wednesday 7k and not just shoving them in the DE Upper, I beg you don't go onto Rovers facebook.....but i'll put a taste below to help you pull your hair out: "Another £175k plus food and drink, should spur us on more to put the ball in the net" "Our best performance in years was in front of 7k geordies" "How can we expect players to believe we are equal or better than them, if we don't" "Poor decision from home supporters not to go more like" "If we filled our own seats it wouldn't be a problem" my favourite....."Where's your faith in the team? players often play better to larger crowds" I honestly sometimes think we deserve our current mess, some of our lot only have air between their ears.
  2. Yeah I guess from my original post I also wanted to highlight how bad the end was under JDT….yet it’s looking as bad or worse under this fella. If we needed a change then, there’s an argument to say we need a change now away from Eustace.
  3. When we lose to Leeds it’ll be 10 points from 13 league games under Eustace and 1 win. JDTs final 13 league games….11 points. Worth reminding all those with blinkers on raving about how we’ve improved the last few weeks and constantly quoting X points in X games. Has a manager ever had the opposite of ‘new manager bounce’ to this extreme
  4. Norwich may have nothing to play for mind you (we’ve been there before!) Huddersfield also have Ipswich away last up. Ideal scenario is Leicester already winning the league and Leeds/Ipswich still battling for 2nd
  5. I fear for this squad if we do stay up. £0 will be reinvested we all know that (well all of us except one individual). Szmodics, Tronstad, JRC from the starting 11 are probably the only 3 of true quality to start if we had any ambition moving forward. We need a new GK, whole new back line, 2 wingers and a striker on a £0 budget.
  6. The players will be nice and comfy on Waggotts state of the art coach coming home at least.
  7. Brum losing is massive. They have 4 points from their last 10 matches, losing 8 of them, giving us a run for our money. Our saving grace is that there is still a chunk of teams between us and the relegation places. Hopefully Bristol City can do similar on Saturday against Huddersfield! Heads should roll at Rovers tonight, I can’t wait for this season to end now and reassess if I give up in the summer
  8. Not good for goal difference with Leeds away up next!!
  9. Not sure it’s balls, strikes me more a bloke who hasn’t got a clue and just had a gamble on changes. If it’s was ‘balls’ he’d have taken off Hyam for starters, closely followed by Gallagher and Brittain
  10. Brittain is literally just passing the ball to red shirts consistently. Between himself and Gallagher I’m not sure they’ve completed a pass to a Rovers player
  11. Not sure who Miller meant, but my opinion would be Brittain. Woeful at the back and giving the ball away every single time going forward
  12. If ever a moment summed up how Gallagher isn’t a number 9 / goalscorer it was that.
  13. Leaving on Hyam and taking off Wharton 😂😂😂 what a clown
  14. 1 win and 10 points from 11 league games. Relegation form/quality any way you spin it. Edit: about to be 12 league games. Would be 38 points across a season, between Rotherham and Wednesday
  15. 100%. I’d get Carter on now to give him some minutes with a view of Carter and Wharton together for the rest of the season
  16. We only need maximum 3 more for safety in my opinion….just hard to envisage where it comes from when watching performances like this!!
  17. Could really do with Cardiff doing us a favour tonight!
  18. How is that fella still our captain? Has zero traits of a good defender / leader. Hopefully the last season we see him in our shirt but I won’t count on it
  19. True, and I guess they're a different team now to the 1st half of the season. Never the less, I think every club will have similar feelings around 'I'm nervous for this fixture'. Ideally you want to be playing someone mid-table and nothing to play for (like us tonight!)
  20. We may well be, but I think if we are, there will still be a few teams between us and the relegation spots, so it would require a large swing (with Huddersfield away at Ipswich we need to hope they're still in with a sniff of automatics). Hopefully we get the job done tonight!
  21. Isn't that contradictory to some extent? Saying other clubs have kind fixtures, yet you're worried about our home match vs the 3rd worst team in the division who have a -31 goal difference. 1 win from our remaining 5 and we're safe. No chance are 3 of Birmingham, Wednesday, Huddersfield or Plymouth getting to 50 points, which they'd need if we get to 49 due to our GD. I actually think 2 draws does it on 48 points for us.
  22. Waggott gonna Waggott
  23. I wonder what the contract with Sodexo is. If they had half a brain between them, then there would be a clause depending on ST sales i.e. if we sell 8k, 10k, 12k, 15k+ season tickets we should be getting different income from Sodexo. It's bad enough they just offload all that to any old 3rd party, but financially it gives us no incentive to have more people in the ground if it's just a fixed fee regardless.
  24. I guess we can thank Adam Wharton for helping us tick over for another year or two. Next accounts will have wages down and Wharton money so I’d imagine will be below that £7m buffer but who knows with the Venkys cooked books. The big wigs would have known our situation in January so I guess that explains why we were desperate to get him out the door to the first club who came knocking
