  1. I didn’t realise until I read that article that there is ANOTHER price increase after playoff final. So the £429 price is only between 7th May and 26th May, then it goes up AGAIN. Get out of our club you useless useless Brent impersonator.
  2. Keep fighting the good fight mate! From memory there was no actual saving for it. 6 matches for £150. Of course no fucker took it up. £25 a match when that’s the going rate anyway. It’s actually more expensive than the average price per ticket before you even acknowledge match by match offers. They’re just absolutely clueless, as always with Rovers these days, a novel idea, but awful execution.
  3. Looking ahead to next year, looks like there will be the least amount of Parachute Payments flying around since I can remember. Only Norwich and Watford will have them who are in the league currently, and they'll be on their final year too due to 1 year relegation. So 5 teams overall with the relegated 3. If there's a few basket case clubs in that then we'll probably never see a better time to compete. So if the 3 relegated clubs (lets say Saints, Everton, Forest) all got instant promotion back we'd be down to no legacy parachute payments and just the relegated 3 teams in 2024/25 as it'll be dried up at Norwich/Watford (as well as WBA this year). In our last year of payments, 10 different clubs were receiving them, a lot more competition. Even going back just 3 years there were 8 different clubs receiving them.
  4. Yep, I'd get one and I don't even live in the country. Try and get to 8+ games (obviously more if I lived in Lancashire), have priority on aways / big cup matches. At the least I'd get one to share with family members. Like you say, doesn't need to be complicated. It's basically what happened under the John Williams campaign (was it £199 and £149 for young adult or something?) EDIT: It's irrelevant as they're in the Prem, have TV money and owned by the richest people in the world where 'financial fair play' doesn't seem to be a thing, but you can get a City season ticket in the upper tier of the South Stand as an adult for £205. Imagine, you can watch De Bruyne, Haaland, Grealish, Foden for half the price of Gallagher, Hedges, Dolan, Diaz
  5. It's horrendous. I saw at the weekend Fulham have the self-service beer terminals in their new stand now. I used these at Old Trafford (Cricket!!) watching England last summer. You have to go down for a pint on 36 mins to get served before the 2nd half kicks off in the Blackburn End. Selection and quality on offer at Rovers is just as bad as speed of service too. The foundations are there at Ewood to have a proper enjoyable match day experience, hopefully one day someone comes in who can embrace it.
  6. Used to be able to get tickets through my school when I was kid....in Chorley! I'd be amazed if they do anything like that now in Blackburn and Darwen area let alone in the Lancashire towns and villages where we've historically pulled in fans. Feels like we're on the cusp of something that could be really enjoyable. A manager who doesn't belittle us and youth team players reminiscent of the last wave (Dunn/Duff). For god sake we need to sort out the commercial side though it's tragic. Not just the fact we have the most expensive season ticket in Lancashire and only sell 1/3rd of our stadium through them, but also as others have mentioned, the food, the drink, the facilities, the stadium entertainment, the riverside. If we had someone who cared for the club running the show it would make the world of difference. £250 season tickets, pelter everyone on the database, bloody canvas round the town even, cheaper offer for kids through the schools. No reason why we shouldn't have 15k season tickets in this division and be getting 20k with big away followings. I think it was this year when someone posted a picture of us advertising on the bus.....for the season tickets 2 years prior!
  7. Could do with PNE beating Sheffield United on Saturday to keep them interested against Sunderland (that is if Sunderland don’t slip up prior to that against Watford)
  8. Beat Luton and Millwall and all we need is either Coventry or Sunderland to not win both their matches.
  9. Do you think we’d have seen him start games if Buckley hadn’t got injured? Genuine question. I don’t. He continued playing 2 in the middle (Travis and Morton) after the Buckley injury and took multiple games to switch to 3. If Buckley had been fit, I think he’d have opted for him in the 3. Wharton wasn’t even making the squad before that. Regarding the tough few games, I remember a poor 45 against Bristol City (think it was them) - that’s it. The other 4 or so appearances around that time pre-Xmas he was brilliant again like Blackpool (Hull / Birmingham) Funny old strategy that JDT is now saying “he’s the best player on the pitch” etc. He was earlier in the season too, but back then it was “he needs to do more” JDT dropped the ball on this one, if your good enough, you’re old enough (he just played 3 games in 6 days). I do appreciate he was injured for a while too though so that was always going to play into it.
  10. It’s a pointless argument but you’re wrong. They had 0.13 in the first half alone (not sure exact before goal yet). They had 8 shots all game. They created fuck all, we created fuck all minus 1
  11. No, their goal was 0.02 (comms said that after the goal). They had more than that prior to the goal
  12. I doubt Tugay gave it ten to the dozen on the bleep test. Some players are different, he’s a teenager and he’s quality and gives it everything when I’ve seen him playing. Could have been the difference this season.
  13. Did we though? If we did, the chances were slim and unlikely so not even to be called ‘half chances’ (granted a chunk of theirs has probably come from that open goal at the end). A lot of talk about ‘taking our chances‘ again as I’ve seen week after week. I keep reverting back to the absolute diddly squat we actually created (another match with sub 1.00 xG). Happens when your ‘creative’ players are Diaz/Dolan/Hedges
  14. I’ve seen 0 evidence of this at all. A few bizarre forum rumours maybe that in the grand scheme of the footballing world were feck all anyway.
  15. Scored 1 in 5 for the best team in the division below. Would have added nothing to us today, just like he didn’t for the half season he was here. Think Gally has about 1 in 5 for us this year and look at him.
  16. I wish it was just the fucking guard of honour now. They couldn’t do it against Reading, Rotherham or QPR
  17. They prob saw the India flag in the dingle end and thought “ah lovely support”
  18. I’d take it if 3 of them come against Millwall as that could be enough and 4 would be above our average points we’d expect from those two games
  19. Only West Brom, Coventry, Sunderland can finish above us with 2 wins (as one win is vs Millwall). If West Brom fail to win tomorrow it’s only Coventry and Sunderland who would both have to win both their games too. We play Monday so should have a better idea before we play, but I think it would too much - I just don’t think we win our next two - not even sure we get another point now. I’m think 10th or 11th about where we deserve. I thought 5 more points (70) would do it before today. So it’s not over yet
  20. And that’s the beauty of (ducks for cover) xG. Plenty of us said we were in a false position for weeks before Christmas (“but we’re in 4th” when we complained). NEVER THE LESS…. We WERE in that position regardless in January, so we should have strengthened to take advantage of that early luck and the position we were in. January has fucked us again.
  21. I swear it’s all those who won the 500/1 Brereton bet last year - you’ve all cursed us for years to come. Hope you’re happy in your pool of money 😄
  22. I honestly need to go back and watch those goals again - starting to think I dreamt it, or maybe that 500/1 winner for fans is why we’re so cursed now. He’s looked like he belongs at Morecambe for about 2 months now not Villarreal. Please please please do not play him in these final 2 matches
  23. I’d say Broughton and Venkys are decent scapegoats, and whatever that pricks name was who couldn’t get a fax back (Silverster?) Hedges, Dolan, Brereton - could have added on 40 and we wouldn’t score.
  24. Remember when Leicester got done to that missed penalty and Deeney goal in the playoffs. They won the league a year later then won the prem 2 years after that. We just need to get stronger, get some mentality into the team and fucking get stuck in more (as well as getting a full new front 3).
  25. Grim. So grim. Turned off instantly at full time so no idea what’s happening, the main reason I didn’t want to fly in for this was the fact they could win the league. What a sickener. Played decent until they scored then horrendous afterwards. JDT got fucked with nothing up top. The front 3 are horrendous. Brereton pathetic - said it every match thread for a month but shouldn’t be played again all season. Hedges and Dolan - all work no skill, that’s what you get signing from Aberdeen or PNE youth on free transfers. Having said that, JDT also fucked us, playing Morton all season over Wharton when fit. He’d have been worth at least 3 extra points over prior 44 games - some of us called for him to start in all match threads. I think Kaminski saves that shot with his extra height. Refs in this league oh boy (was that the linesman side too? If so that’s a shocker) Carter will get the pelters but I think he’s been great for us since coming in, superior to Hyam in the way JDT wants to play. I think the latter can regularly become a liability. Someone please climb up the comms tower and lamp Michael Brown too the prick.
