  1. Bring on the dingles! (Who incidentally are getting battered now they’re finally up against a good team and not getting 5 goals from 0.81 xG)
  2. What a bit of quality that was. Really needed it and the right man in the right place
  3. The lad Muric that Ipswich paid a load to Burnley for continues to have howlers in him. No idea how that lad has made it to the prem (although Walton is their keeper on the bench!)
  4. Correct substitute from JE in my opinion. Hedges has had a poor match, and needs to be kept fit. We should improve now with the big man on.
  5. As one of Pears’ biggest long standing critics I’m not sure I can put much blame on him for that goal. Dom Hyam should be the one getting a bollocking - allowing the (smaller) attacker to control the ball with his chest / shoulder from a long ball - absolute pathetic CB defending and we see that continuously from him, way too soft.
  6. Haha chalk and cheese those goals. But we’ll take it! Interesting the ref didn’t stop for the head injury.
  7. Hahaha Dom Hyam. I’ve never seen a softer CB in my life. He’s so far off it
  8. Delighted for Szmodics (despite the scrappy finish)
  9. We will not be as big a favourite as this all season (8/11). Let’s not kid ourselves, we’re in a relegation battle this year, and a home match against the league 1 playoff winners and favourites to drop is the kind of game you have to win if you want to stay in the league. Given all the above, I’ve a pretty horrible feeling about it. 1-2 Oxford and reality sets in and the club still do nothing for the rest of the transfer window.
  10. Was sick in mouth reading some of the replies on social media to that statement. I sometimes think we deserve everything we get when you see these bootlickers. Almost £40m income over the last 6 months with Wharton, Szmodics and Raya and the other small ones. Edit: that was Facebook. Twitter seems surprisingly critical (as it should be)
  11. Hahahahaha come on…. took me all of 2 seconds to remember Wigan 3-2 in the cup - at fault for all 3 goals (2 of which were horrendous) and then multiple other errors in the match. Huddersfield away springs to mind too - but that was only 2 howlers (which is pretty much his par)
  12. Has Trav checked who the manager is up there? They might want him in training most days and to actually develop as a Footballer, which clearly is a big no-no to him. That's surely all the due diligence he needs based on the nonsense he came out with in that interview.
  13. A group of players just properly happy to plod along in the Championship
  14. Not sure how it can be deemed any more of a robbery than us signing him from that clown himself for £1.8m + add-ons just 2 years earlier? They turned a league 1 player into the championship for £2m then we turned a championship player into the prem for £10m within 2 years.
  15. 2020/21 we had Kaminski (future prem player), Daniel Ayala (only 30 at the time), Branthwaite (future England player albeit was 18), Harwood-Bellis (also was 18), Bradley Dack in his prime, Harvey Elliot (future England player), Lewis Holtby (who had caps for Germany), Joe Rothwell (future prem player), and then Armstrong (29 goals) and Diaz upfront (both future prem players). Yet still finished 15th in the league and didn't get past the 3rd round of the cup. This was the season where I thought we would make the playoffs early on. I remember us playing some amazing football (5-0 vs Wycombe followed by 4-0 vs Derby), then another 4-0 vs Coventry and then battering PNE away. We were 8th heading into February and met the usual Mowbray death spiral, winning only 1 of the next 15 matches. We then obviously finished the season with a 5-2 win vs Huddersfield and a 5-2 win vs Birmingham when there was zero pressure on us at all. We scored 65 goals, only 4 teams in the league scored more, and finished with a +11 goal difference (Coventry 2 points behind us had a -12 goal difference). Yet we still ended up 20 points off the playoffs! If any season could sum up Mowbrays tenure with us, it was that one!
  16. Here's hoping! And yeah that adds to the point, we have all our loan slots to fill still, so should we be going out spending money on Dembele who arguably wouldn't improve the starting 11 much. Our CB loan business has been ridiculous when you look at Tosin, Harwood Bellis, Brainthwaite and Van Hecke all played for us (Some more than others), over a small time period.
  17. Maybe right now given how far we’ve dropped, but I can’t help but feel there’s better options out there (we haven’t a single loan in yet for example - what happened to the days of Elliott, Harwood-Bellis, Tosin, Reed etc. ) He's 27 now, only had 2 seasons in the Championship, which were hardly extraordinary, and sulking around at Birmingham now. If we spend money on him and he’s rubbish, his next move is L1 or abroad and we make a loss on what will no doubt be a high waged player.
  18. Wouldn’t touch Dembele with a barge pole. Bang average and stinking attitude. We need players that can instantly go into the starting 11. Not squad fillers.
  19. Not a chance you’d even get a sniff of Stansfield for £6m. He’s 21, English, plays for a Prem team under contract and has already had a cracking season in the championship. He’s £10m+ and I think people are under estimating what these clubs pay to their academy prospects / what sort of wage they could achieve from other (none-Rovers) clubs.
  20. 😂 and I have a bridge to sell you
  21. Buckley looking good with a 3 man midfield. Better option than JRC in recent times. Great cross from Brittain - after I keyboard warriored him!
  22. All I’m getting from Eustace ball tactics is: 1) Defender takes the GK and passes to Pears and we give it back to the opposition within 2 passes 2) 2 players to take a corner and still output a shite delivery. It’s going to be a loooooong season
  23. We don’t have anyone like Sargeant now Sammie has left unfortunately. Can anyone name one player for us who has elite pace / energy / physical qualities? Soft underbelly with no pace anywhere in the team, recipe for relegation in this league….especially when you consider we look to have no tactics
  24. Lewis Travis like a non-league player for that goal. Useless, soft clown who should not be our captain
