We shouldn't, we should have been 2 up and cruising.

Thats easy to say from the Sigurdsson chance but Plymouth had 2 or 3 big chances themselves in that period. 2 one on ones alone when our CBs had no clue from a long ball. 2 up is blinkered looking at our chances alone. We should have been level in my eyes, as every single stat would validate.

Time to start asking some serious questions of the players now. Big bad JDT is long gone but they are still in victim mindset. Full of excuses, pass the blame, avoid accountability, take the easy way out at every opportunity, defeatist and soft as shite.

That Waggott meeting and that Brittain quote. Jesus what a bunch of spineless gits.

Jesus! Reading through these comments does make me think that you really do get the club that you deserve sometimes

Eustace has come in at another dreadful period on and off the pitch and has been playing games back to back literally from day one without so much as an international break to spend a little extra time coaching and getting to know the players one to one.

I’ve seen a lot of what you’ve posted recently and you’re either a good WUM or a dingle. You’re no supporter of this club, if you are, you’re aiding our downfall.

    Warnock just left/quit/got fired.

Why don't we sack this useless coach and get Warnock in to keep us up for the last couple of months

Worst case at least it’ll be some form of comedy post-match. He wouldn’t put up with some of our dossers though.

Unfortunately there’s no chance he’d work under Venkys

Lets be honest, we were lucky not to get beat 5-1 today.

    At home.

    To Plymouth.

They somehow missed quite a few really good chances which would be goals on another day or against another side.

We had 1 chance all game, when Siggy hit the bar.

    At home.

    To Plymouth.

Yet some posters will come out and say Eustace has “shored up our defense” because we only conceded one.

Cheltenham next week - blinkers are well and truely on for some

  6. There’s just nothing to say really that hasn’t been said already. The club is the absolute pits.

There will be 5k in a 30k stadium next year watching 11 academy players (the last bit I actually hope for as I never want to see the likes of Gallagher, Hyam, Brittain and co put on our shirt again - absolute zero effort regardless of their quality)

  7. We’re actually odds on for this match, whilst I was aware Plymouth were in a bit of free-fall themselves, they must be rated very poorly.
We really need 3 points, they look like the team as likely as ourselves to drop into the bottom 3.
We’d all love a bit of breathing space going into the international break if we can grab a point at Boro too.

  8. Regarding the betting posts previous…

Yeah the Indian market is big (declined a little recently with crack downs), but it certainly is not filtering into Championship football, and 100% is not filtering into shots on target or manager sackings / appointments which was quoted.
Remember that someone is taking the other side of the bet, do you really think they’d be willing to lay large amounts on Rovers in a Championship match in India?

If 4 bets in row for £20 were placed on Big Sam next manager to go at 33/1 the price would be cut instantly to single digits, that’s a liability of £2.5k - no firm anywhere is ending up with a huge red book or payouts of millions on those markets, and they’re not even offered in India

The majority of wagered money in India is cricket (see what turnover the exchange used to do on the IPL), the rest is lotteries / gaming.

I despite Venkys as much as the next poster, but the betting angle is a massive stretch.

I think the idea has come from us conceding a lot less goals.

Thats the sort of logic that loads of this board were saying about the team, its set-up and how much we’d improved after a few early undeserved draws… by that I mean brushing over the wider picture of the quality of team we’ve faced + the extra CB yet still not looking better defensively.

I could equally counter that we conceded 1 less goal against those 6 teams faced under JDT. See your tiny sample size is either factually incorrect or statistically useless (we also did so whilst scoring 6 more goals - 1 extra goal per match)

To summarise, no we do not look more solid / harder to breakdown / more of unit etc etc at all

  10. I’ve still no idea where this myth of our “shored up back line”, “tightened up” and “back to basics” has come from.
We look just as horrendous defensively and that’s with an extra CB and to the detriment of any attacking/progressive play remaining.

Not a clue what some of you have been watching this past month.

On the attacking front we’ve had an xG above 1 just once in his 6 league games and that was 1.01 against Norwich. Those matches include Millwall, Swansea, Cardiff, Norwich, Preston, Birmingham - all outside the playoffs and we’re not even coming close to troubling them OR looking good defensively. (If you hate xG I’ve just used it to show how dire we are at creating anything now too)

If ever you wanted to sum up our recruitment under these horrendous owners and their cuts (spearheaded by Broughton) then only 2 players signed within the last 3 windows started last night. One was the incompetent Wahlstedt and the other a 37 year old CB.

Sums it up perfectly. Low budget, but shambolic use of it. The lot of them would be gutted if we had competent owners.

Finishing a must-win game passing the ball between THREE centre halves is enough.

Said it many times, but Gallagher on the pitch makes us far worse.

JE OUT is the only chance of survival this season.

I honestly can’t believe we finished that match with 3 at the back. 3 lads at the back launching it down the channel to Markanday….against Millwall!

Was that Hyam telling the fans to calm down when yet again he took it backwards? This are  bunch of twats we've got here.

Bad when the lads in the riverside can see the picture clearer than you. What on earth was he doing passing that back in.
There’s a lot out there tonight that I just don’t want to see in a Rovers shirt again, their time is done.

Against the run of play, but not unexpected

But what exactly is ‘run of play’. We’ve done nothing but pass it around the back/middle and give it away in their 3rd with some aimless lump up the line. xG 0.23 at home to Millwall after 1 hour. Eustace has ripped us apart

If there ever was a game that had 0-0 written all over it this is it. Trust both teams to miss a penalty if given. Really poor.

Well that’s put an end to that 😐

These lads aren’t fit to where the shirt and those that were praising Eustace after scraping a few draws need to open your eyes, this football is as bad as I can remember and we can’t even defend despite adding the extra CB

  16. Dolan is a frustrating player.
He looks like he should be fast but he’s extremely slow with the ball and he looks like he’d be a good dribbler but I’ve never seen him beat the first defender.
Add in the poor decision making and he doesn’t really offer much more than work rate.
