just what did Dinnis ever achieve himself ? The man is a bigger cock that durso the refereee and anyone who really takes onboard anything he says is a clown as well. the man knows NOTHING about football and knows nothing about ROVERS -

nothing happened for their penalty, it was a simply disgraceful refereeing decision, a mistake, a gross incompetence and a complete and utter F*** up by the so called man in the middle. Does anyone recall Gallagher being suspended for incomptent refereeing ? If the big wigs are watching or rahter watched the match then Dickead durso should follow suit and take the red card himself. the man is simply shocking as a ref. As for the Rovers performance, impressed but gutted. The workrate of Fergie and Tugay, the enthusiasm of Dickov and the second half running of Emerton deserved a draw at least. Souness will be furious and it will be interesting to read his views on the referee. he managed to pick up every foul committed by a Blue and yet failed to see any penalty when Dickov was scythed by Beattie, he failed to see the elbow by le sulk, he didnt see the nasty challenge by beattie on Gray, he missed the foul by telfer on Emerton. In fact he gave us NOTHING and them everything. Now its the good hiding at Arsenal to come. Oh what joy to get the big guns out of the way now before they really settle. What price a treble ? Arsenal away win manure home win Newcastle away win must be combined odds of around 500-1 -

its a typical Rovers perormance ie the same as the past 3 yrs more possession more chances limited play by the "home" team what happens silly mistake costs us a goal. he was never offside in a million years NEJ and Short are to blame for the goal, its got nothing to do with Emerton. Both Ch's went for the same ball and missed it completely. Will someone please try and explain what positions Flitty and Matteo are actually playing ! Both are misplaced and giving too much openness in the middle. There is NO movement for Tugays passing, Yorke seems up for it but is too casual, on 3 seperate occasions his willingness to hold it rather than off load it has cost us a decent chance of going forward. Stead needs some help and the supply line is non existant. Gray is playing well. Cannot take anything else in a positiv emanner unless some fo the above q's are answered. -

4 - 5 - 1 yorke to play just in front of the midfield with Matteo, Fergie and Flitcroft employed as destroyers ! just dont expect any exciting flowing football from Rovers. expect a usual beattie goal unless he gets a good slap early doors do not expect a penalty do not expect a good refereeing show in fact anything other than a loss will be a bonus everything is conspiring against Rovers evn the weather ps why is Amo out, its not as if soton are laden with pace ! -

biggets defeat for years we have no one who can cope with henry and reyes we have no one who can cope with the movement of pires and bergkamp we have noone who can compete with viera (if he plays) we have not a clue about getting past the formidable back line of their defence then again stranger things have happened -

back in rainy/sunny/wintry Leyland following the match, heres my summary. After a very slow and unconvincing first half we wnet in 1-0 down to a fluke deflection, however if ever a half was won on enterprise then WBA took it. I decided that just before the whistle Rovers had to change, the side was so lob sided with the left hand side with Gresko and de Pedro and Matteo all appearing to be unsure of exactly what position they were playing. However this was not the only quandarry, there was so much space down the right flank you had to wonder where the right side had gone ! I was releived when the first half whistle went and spent 14 minutes wondering, contemplating on what changes could be made to effect a Rovers recovery. Enter the second half. Rovers quickly adopted a 3-5-2 formation with Shorty playing right back. My oh my I was surprised. To see Dickov's enthusiasm was great and I think the team immediately stepped through 4 gears with Tugay the cog needed to supplement the grafting done by our captain. The change was a miracle. We had runners, we had players available, we had effort, we had enthusiasm, we had everything apart from Emerton willing to take on the left back. Tugay alongside Fergie is a great combination. Fergie is a box to box midfielder who had a great game today. Tugay when on form passes to a fellow Blue 94% of the time. Dickov alongside Stead allowed the youngster to roam more and get more of the ball, Dropping Yorke into midfield is not too bad an option but he still has that laid back style which leave you exposed when he loses the ball. As for the equaliser, a great header that showed the bravery of Short. two minutes later we had the chance to take the lead as wba buckled under relenting pressure. Enter Emerton, our aussie hero born with a will to win (allegedly), put in by a fantastic pass, rounds 2 finds space, he has the whole left hand side of the goal to aim at with his left foot and what does he do ? tries to swing it onto his right peg, hits thin air, falls over with the ball in his feet and attempts a swan dive that makes RVN proud to come second ! a draw was a fitting result. JHC we are only 2 points behind the leaders ! If anything this result can prove a lot better with 5 very difficult games coming up. We should have won but didnt. Summary freidel - 6 nothing whatsoever he could do with the free kick. Gray - 7 - enterprising and willing runner. Short - 7 - good solid performance great header. Amo - 7 - solid, only 1 mistake and christ was it a mistake ! Emerton -5 - enigma. the wba left back has just had the easiest game ever. Fergie - 8 - box to box for the full 90 minutes. Gresko -6 - lost in the first half Matteo - 6 - again lost in first half, solid 2nd should have scored. de Pedro - 5- looked out of sorts but is a sweet crosser of the ball. Yorke - 6 - looked up for it, good touches and poor touches. Seems like a weight has been lifted now cole has gone. stead - very quiet first half, came into the game in the 2nd. Tugay -7 - very creative and wanted the ball. Must start at Southampton. Dickov - 7 - up for it and a breath of fresh air, got the forwards going and unsettled the defence in particular the giant that is darren moore ! Gally -6 - not enough time to make a solid enough effort. The crowd ? well the only thing I will say is that all of those tosseers in the rear of the Blackburn End who decided to boo, go away we dont want you. I can offer better expletives but I will get shot ! referee - -1 useless and very incosistent. outlook ? well if we get a win on the coast it looks rosey, if its a defeat then we are really in for a long long hard winter -

common denominator being that not one of those so called professional players who earn massive wages could comprehend the fact that not one of them were bigger or better than the man who is employed to run the football team - THE MANAGER. falling out is part of every day life. But it takes a better person to leave it when its finished with, as in the case of gillespie and Hignett they decided to take it to the press, dunn did very much the same. There are babies around, in the mould of yorke and cole, who have both been heavily pampered in the world of football. They have certainly not earned their cash the hard way with lots of hard work, guts or determination more the case of having it put on a plate for them. at Arsenal cole couldnt hack being behind the likes of Alan Smith who was a grafter so he buggered off. At Newcastle he had scotty sellars laying the ball off for him at his feet. If he could shoot straight then he would have scored 50 never mind 30 ! At manure he had the likes of giggs, scholes, cantona and yorke to put the ball in for him, again if he could have shot straight he would have outscored the magnificent Shearer 10 fold. At Rovers he had Duffer for a year or so. He still managed to miss 3 out of 5 chances (and thats being genorous), before realising that at a club like ROVERS every single player has to graft for his living. Maybe a few more players have picked up the message that lazy bone idle motherf***ers will not be tolerated at the club. IMo this season will be much better, the fact he has gone will bring this team together. okay Stead,Gally and Dickov may not be the most attractive threesome but they can all score, they all know the meaning of hard work and thats half the job done. If the likes of De Pedro and Emerton can pull the trigger then there are goals in this squad. Cole ? who are you who are you ? -

Also just caught a snippet on SSN that there are a bevvy of Beauties aiting to provide the entertainment and that SVE has personally arranged for himself to have 4 of the beauties ! The moral being If you have it use it !!

should read £1.25 on the bus park and ride!!
-
okay fellow blues just to let you kow a litele of the problems you will encounter tomorrow at deepdale. firstly if your driving and want to avoid major traffic snags (this is because of the retail site in particular and general traffic) it will be better to use one of the park and rides UCi is a good one or the one near to strand road is another. its only 31.25 return and to park the car, the bus drops off in the City centre near the Yates Wine Bar, after that the ground is a 15 minute walk up deepdale rd past the nick ! if you want to park then stay away from the retail park and the toy soldier, on a good day getting off that place takes a good 30 minutes with shopping traffic. Do mind where you park your vehicles in Preston. the locals enjoy writing on cars with nails and screwdrivers, they like car radios and cd's even better. They also revel in taking clothing from the rear seats. I would suggest anyone parking near the ribbleton lane end is taking a chance of their vehicle getting screwed or damaged. stay away from the pubs near the ground as this is where "their boys" will be waiting. Someone mentioned the Vic near the railway station, this is another pne pub that will have the usual spotters in waiting for easy targets. For leaving the area after the game, the easiest route back home is to head away towards Blackpool and drop down to the dock area and heading back to the motorway via Leyland. Its by far and away the quickets route even if it takes you a few more miles from your destination. You could even think about parking down there and getting another P and R to deepdale. Just some local info from someone who has to work in this unfortunate place
