its not unuaual to see a frenchman blaming others its been a repetitive story throughout history. i mean they blamed russia for the germans invading france they blamed the italians for their own cowardice displays in ww1 and ww2 they blamed the English and USA for Iraq's invasion of kuwait they blamed the english farmers when their own blockaded the ports of france they blamed the world when iraq was invaded earlier on this year but remained solidly on the side of the coalistion when it transpired they may lose millions in unpaid deals on arms transactions they blamed everyone but themselves for the incompetent way the tried to deal with asylum seekers using the channel tunnel/port of calais as a go between they blamed the british government when they provided argentina with superentarrd fighter planes and exocets just prior to us kicking their arses and even more so when the above mentioned sales revealed it was the french rockets that were responsible for sinking 4 of our warships you see the typical frenchman is incapable of entertaining the fthe fact that they have to face up to any responsibility or face criticisms for THEIR actions. With leaders like de gaulle and chirac they have suitable acts to follow however france is littered with such arseholes who have all bore the same traits as their predecessors

there is an interesting article coming out about lufc and the money they owe, but even more interesting is the amount of money they owe against players. copyrights rule out a posting but it is something like this. viduka - when purchased lufc borrowed/leased 6 million against him and in lieu of interest payments agreed to a repayment value of 9 million - this was taken at the time when he was being mooted for a 14 million pound move to overseas clubs. His current value is around 4 million but lufc still have to repay the agreed 9 million back to the lease company. matteo - purchased with a lease value loan of 7 million, current value 3 million. duberry - purchased with a lease value of 6 million - current value 1.5 million. Kewell was a relatively cheap signing/investment at around 250k, however lufc "borrowed" against his value two years ago - 14 million - on the completion of his move to lfc the finacne co got 500k leaving a 13.5 mill deficit. Further to this lufc still pay kewell 25k a week and still owe 3.4mill in bonus/contract payments to him. Fowler. Again purchased via a lease loan and sold for peanuts. Apparently leeds still pay him 45k a week for the next 22 months, then they have to pay him 4.5mil in contract and bonus payments. this totals around 34 million of the debt leeds find themselves in. they have no other assets and have recently returned 29 club cars to a local sponsor as they can longer meet insurance/fuel bills for players. They have also sold 27 properties including 2 training grounds as well as three sites purchased from the old plc. total debt expected to be released 15th December is £101 million. if they get relegated then the club expect to lose 29 million in prizemoney/sponsorship and general turnover. so they are well and truly knackered in terms of the financial plight they find themselves in. One shining light is that some oil shiek has offered to make a purchase of the plc for around 50 million however that is nothing in comparison to abramovitches outlay at chelski

as mentioned on a previous post nick barmby is now available on a free transfer - must be worth a try for the left hand side. lufc are in a serious rut having to turn down a 4 million gift from ARM holdings as creditors where lining up to grab it ! hahahaha

it wouldnt take a ot to displace that bolton winker !! oh by the way its the first time I heard it and thought to myself "eh that was a reet grand joke tee hee tee hee tee hee"

-
well jim just who has carried the can for you then mate ? its an obvious thing to say when TP speaks to the press aint it ? how about giving the manager some support, the team some backing and then how about having a change of drivel spouting from you overwroked keyboard !

rover6 sturrock is a scotsman who was an average midfielder in an average scottish league. he moved onto management having had to finsih his football career short through injury. he moved into the then non legue status of scottish football managing such thoroughbreds as clachnacuddin and alloa before an ill fated stint at dundee his football nemesis. he was then appointed part time basis only as plymouths manager and enjoyed a reasonable good run resulting in him getting the job full time and is now at the helm on a 3yr deal. that good enough for you ? he simply could not cut it in div 1 never mind the premiership, maybe if he proves a point 5 or 6 years down the line then come back with his name until that day let him be and never mention his god damned name name again on this thread he is not premiership material.
-
well its a good job you had the dictionary available then aint it ? or did you manage to get it from the medical journal on t@internet

that cancer remark is an absolute disgrace, the postee should be severley reprimanded or shot
-
pains me to say it but TUGAYis way off the mark on his currnt form, it is his inabilities that are flooding our midfield and giving us so many problems. He needs dropping now.
-
rover 6 you are a clone of jim and IMo that makes you someone who I just cannot find time to bide. You obviously have NO ideas regarding BRFC. You clearly cannot see through those tainted grey specs that you blatantly and so obviously wear. Your views are based on media and radio commentary as YOU were NOT at Southampton today. Your unrespected spouts about Souness are just typical of someone who cannot understand that football is a sport where it has a lot of ups and downs. Yes sometimes were really bad and other we are really good. Its just right at this moment we hare having a bad time of it. This reason alone did NOT stop 1900 Rovers fans flocking to Southampton in order to SUPPORT our team. Even as we lost we still APPLAUDED the effort of our team. THAT IS WHAT BEING A SUPPORTER IS ALL ABOUT - TAKING THE BAD TIMES AS WELL AS THE GOOD TIMES. You really rile me off with your stupid rants and suggestions that one Paul Sturrock is the saviour of our club, He ISN'T going to ever get the job at Ewood, neither is Gary Megson or Iain Dowie. So back your truck up and get out there and start supporting the team that you ALLEGEDLY follow.

can anyone see the light in the current climate ? very soon we are going to click and someone is going to get a pasting on the pitch, we are drawing in on a visit to manure and god help us if we cant manage to halt the rot before then ! I remain hopeful, christ even the sun has backed us for a 1-0 win on Saturday
-
honestly Alan I dont expect us to win anything the way were are currently playing. I was simply offering a comparison with what LC stated about LFC's varied and lack of width football and what they actually achieved a couple of years back !
-
has radio rovers ever had any credibility with that idiot in charge ? also has his scottish side kick ever said anything remotely resembling what had actually happened in the preceding match ? Both are utterly useless as match summarisers and both are in the same amatuerish league of the commentator. its only the additional input of ex Rovers players that even make the after match comments worth listening too. In fact why dont they just switch off and save the licence fee and the extra electricity and channel the residue back into a worthwhile venture that benefits the club
-
comon LC just where did glenda's name come into the reckoning ? Why on earth would Rovers ever contemplate replacing GS with the son of god ! Okay George Graham is a class act but he is in the same mould as Souness, no better and definately no worse ! howie Wilkinson is in the same world as Glenda, he has NO chance of ever being offered the job even if we were ever relegated to the conference league ! We wont sack GS, he wont leave. He has too much know how and is the right manager for us. No airs and graces and certainly no shrinking violet
-
with that in mind would we as rovers fand accept winning the eufa, league cup and fa cup and charity shield next season ? i think we would take it
-
now now swish, your losing it a touch old boy ! go lightly on that guiness its affecting your senses !! squealing like a pig, is there something you have forgotten to tell us about abbey village ? hahahahahahahaha
-
thats an insinuation on your behalf that is WRONG my fellow Blue and White. It was never meant to sound like that. Blaming the loss of Dunn and Duff ? well in some quarters you may be right, you may also be wrong. as for the other D - dizzy ? I could never agree with you on that. With a right atitude and on his good days he was half decent, unfortunately this young man has another thing on his mind when he picks up his monthly wage, its certainly not football as for falling out ? well I dont know you on a personal basis, and by the sound of it you are a scot or exiled Englishman, so falling out is neither an option nor is it something I would have the time for as I am too busy at work, too busy with my blue and white hobby, too busy with the kids and the dog and then theres a Mrs Roverite to consider, this of course coming after my habit of beer tasting ! i dont fall out with anyone except her indoors

grf at no time have I ever said tht a person is not entitled to an opinion. my simple view is that why is is necessary for all and sundry to have a cheap shot at the club from afar ? I am more than well aware of the fact that not everyone is in a position to attend the game. I know this as I have spent many hours away from home whilst serving in the armed forces and watching from afar, I also know that it is a major hassle getting to midweek games in particular from Scotland etc. I have bben there and done it on many an occasion. What tripes me is that people are always ready to shout drivel regarding the performance of a player, the team or whatever without really considering any alternative views. i am extremely passionate about my team and will defend them as best I can like most Rovers fans, what I wont accept is fans shouting abuse, booing on the terraces when quite clearly the opposite is required. as for some comments on here well the less said the better. Talk is cheap but to give encouragement is a lot easier than finding negative expletives that is IMO
-
rover 6 where are you coming from ? everyone of those 3 have achieved absolutley NOTHING with their current clubs except a wee promotion and then a major struggle ensues. NOT one of them is a suitable option should the unthinkable happen in respect of MR Souness. Your opinion is noted but IMO its totally taboo. How do you come to the conclusion that someone like Iain Dowie could improve or manage the currnet Rovers squad ? How could Megson cope with the calibre of player we have when he cannot even manage to cope with average div 1 players ? They are no better than considering turnip at dingleville could do the Ewood job and that is something that we should never even contemplate ! Please please please think about what it is your saying
-
okay sam I have finally dragged myself up off the floor having read your simple views of Rovers recent successes. i have just compared your fabulous teams performances against our and guess what ? Your NOWHERE near us ! Surprised ? You ought NOT to be. before you spout your drivel consider this. The currrent division you sit in. The current average crowd you get. the current state of affairs in dingleville fc. The fact that you havent got anywhere near us result wise since the year dot. in fact just a reminder 5-0 and 2-0 ring a very loud bell our cup runs compared to yours ? well I cant even think of any type of run you have had, oh yes did you once make it to round 3 of the lower division sherpa van trophy or have I mixed you up with Scunthorpe ? As for europe ? Well didnt you play in the Isle of Man recently ? I know you played a friendly at Accrington but really to slate your near neighbours like that without offering any sort of back up for your own team beggars belief but at the same time shows exactly the height of intelligence you have achieved. Finally as for success. Well it is well known that dingleville fc have won hands down over the past two years the team that concedes the most goals in a particular away game, in fact was it not yourselves who set up that marvellous record of around 19 goals in three away games....... AGAINST ! so there you have it a nutshell sammy dear dingle, before you can slag us off get your own team on the same playing field as us and only then can you compare our two clubs. But just in case your worried, dont be as in your life time it will never happen again at LEAGUE level
-
well Paul you obviously have a seat nearby a set of morons then ! the idiots who booed near us in the Blackburn End were left in no doubt that if they didnt like what they saw and preferred to boo then they should leave and never come back
-
a dichotomy ? Now thats rather posh ! Its not really meant to sound like that as I know Rovers have far afield fans who simply cannot make every game. its aimed at fairweather partimers who live close by and do nothing that slag the club off from the comfort of their chairs.
