the media are just as big a culprit as the idiots who are causing trouble IMO they sensationalise they create media nonsense they under report the TRUE facts they never give any credit to English fans and finally they NEVER report on the other idiotic followers of other countries who cause mayhem -

Matteo is wrangling with leeds over a severance payment thisis what is hlding up negotiations. He apparently wants to join Rovers but his hands are tied until leeds come up with the goods. No transfer fee involved but a heavy bonus fee is in place in lieu -

yes massive queues at deepdale all 2600 of them ! if anyone thinks that they will get above 20k a home game then you know nothing about them, in fact they cannot get 20k cause the ground aint big enough They will only get a higher than usual average due to the likes of leeds, siunderland, wham, leicester, forest, dingles, wolves, etc they are a second rate outfit with a second rate backroom staff -

yes rover6 and paul Rooney may just have done something utterly stupid like get into the other haklf and score a goal or win another penalty. All game the french were frightened to death of going anywhere near him, the lad may not be the quickest but he is hard as nails in the tackle, he is hard to pull off the ball and he can score from nothing, we at Rovers have seen that first hand. Heskey should not have been on the pitch, we should have had a defensive midfielder as at that point we had no need to chase the 2nd goal, we were comfortable due to the defending of King and Campbell as well as a near perfect display from a Neville brother. At the end of the day the frogs got lucky, we lost and thats that. it all goes down to the next games when England will know what it is they have to do. The opposite group does not frighten me as an English supporter so I see the semis looming and a date with....... well you know who ? -

fully agree with AEsf Put a donkey on and you will get kicked ! The only people to blame are the following Erickson for putting on Heskey and vassel when a holding midfielder should have been the option ie BUTT Donkey Heskey for that stupid challenge Gerrard for the biggest and most costliest peice of passing I have ever witnessed at International level. £40 million ? Think not Beckham for his laid back approach to the game and the penalty. Great cross for Lampard but what a poor effort penalty wiaw, FB was on his way down before he kicked the ball leaving all of the left hand side open I was gutted last night but having had time to reflect if that is the best French team there is then if we manage to recover and see them in the final they are there for the taking. Henry was anonymous, Viera was outplayed, Zidane really did nothing with the ball until the 89th minute and the defence looks poor against a player such as Rooney. finally did anyone see Micheal Owen on the pitch ? I thought England were daft to play a big game with only 10 men ! -

oh by the way you have forgotten tomention the 23 german and holland fans arrested for fighting, six spanish and 3 italian for misdemeaniours whilst drunk ! You dont work for the English media do you ? 30-40k England fans and 6 or 7 get arrested and then 4 released without charge ! That makes it a full scale battle does it ? In preston or blackburn last night there were probably 2-3k people out having a fun night out, I can bet your bottom dollar that there would have been in excess of say 40 arrested for public order/assaults and whatever other offences may have come to light. Dont be so bloody melodramatic when mentioning England fans and fighting. We all know its a problem but please 6 out of upto 40k ? now thats a real percentage aint it ! get over it you never know the England fans may well just surprise the world cause if you read the press and your in the know you will realise that over 350 potential trouble makers are NOT in the country they area t home bound by bail conditions and a lack of passports. Its that minority that cause the trouble, I know cause I was there at Charlaroi and witnessed it first hand -

what he means SIG is that ptholt is actually a minor who is allowed a wine with his egg and soldiers ! POD and PtHlt are both talking a lot of well?.........utter utter tripe ! Rovers are working within the means that they have, the club is standing on its feet, the club is being run in an almost professional manner (except merchandising and shirts etc). We dont have multi millions anymore We dont have a massive fan base as its numpties like pod and pthlt that put people off Oh yes I almost forgot about Jim and rover6 !! we had a bad season by our recent standards, but now having survived comfortably the treat of relegation some members seem fit to pour gloom upon our club. Why ? Its a good 7 weeks or more before we being playing. the Euro Championships should be the focus of your life - if you love football that is ! Leave the gloom and think about that a few years ago Rovers were really in deep sh!t, they are not now and are on a firm footing with a very decent squad of players. we may not challenge for the League title but we are certainly one of the better teams in the mid league of teams. Get over it, sack the gloom, have a tinny as we watch the Frogs get battered, relax and enjoy the sunshine. You know the pre season will soon be upon us its then that we can start to look forward to the new season. Scotty my lad, fancy discussing matters on the way to pompy and southampton again next season ? -

there is no source its just fan speculation/rumour mongering from around the clubs I for one would like Cole to stay unless we get decent money offered for him AND Rovers find a suitable replacement. -

a bonus for Rovers is that Yorke is on pay as u play for the next 12 months of his rolling contract. todd will join wigan or derby for 350k cole to wba for 1.3 million ! Surprised ? baggies fans are up for him big style, most wanted player in amongst a poll for their suffeing fans ! -

the position that leeds find themselves in is pretty dire as we all know through the media reporting over the past 12 months. Leeds have had to agree to release players at seriously low prices and offer to pay part of the players wages as they cannot afford to pay any loyalty bonuses, this is the reason why. for example Mills is on 40k a week, he has 4 yrs of his contract to run with a hefty bonus to come at the end of his contract. Leeds cannot afford to keep him never mind pay him. Therefore Leeds will let him go for free, saving agents fees, bonus payments and at the same time agree to pay say a quarter of his wages for a period of time. This is a much better option for them rather than laying out massive money all at once as the club would gain nothing financially. There is a much bigger problem looming as some of the big earning players hold the ace card in that they do not have to move whilst Leeds have to honour the contract ! So its all in Leeds interest to cut their cloth accordingly. To date its 3 players off for at least two thirds of their "true" value, there is more to come. bargains to be had at Leeds -

38 games last season shows him injury prone does it ? Yes granted he has had a few problems with his knee over the past 3 yrs but last season he played almost every game. -

cant think of the member who suggested he had been informed of the Matteo situation but I can definately say that Matteo has been to Ewood Park today for discussions with his advisors. If anyone else was at the ground around 1100ish he turned up in a Land Rover with 2 other people ! -

Micheal Carrick overrated ? yr joking mate he is the most complete midfielder in Div 1 and is the type of player that can enhance greatly given a run in the Premiership. he would be an idela foil for ferguson should tugay depart Rovers. -
now then if next season we have a blinder and win the league then I wpould expect all of you doubters to line up in front of debenhams and show yr hairy arses to the Town ! we had a blip, lets see what happens in the close season before passing any furhter judgement. Imagine it on the other hand "Now then graham lad, that plonker Jim mk11 on the forum? well he has not had a good thing to say all season what should we do mate ?" "shoot him down NOW" lets enjoy a break from the sadness that is last season, look forward to the Euro 2004 games and then its pre-season. things are not really that bad.......... ask any dingle fan

more rumours from the world of chelski they have made an improved offer for Shevchenko even tho he has just signed a new 5 yr deal, the rumours within the club are suggesting 36 million smackeroonies ! 10 players have already been told they will not play for the club again and will be made available for free transfers to date the only confirmed departures are JFH desaiily melchiot Gronkyaer babayaro petit bogarde Players that can go off on loan include Veron (already gone) Huth cole (already out) Gallas three premierships clubs have already sounded out deals for petite and huth, of which Villa are one the others not yet known. Chelsea have today sacked 10 back room staff including the youth management and head scouts. They expect to announce a full reorganisation within a month. it is strongly thought that they have also agreed to pay ranieri 7 million for his contract and are in the process of paying up the bearded one to the tune of 9 million ! -

laugh my tits off when he fails ! There is no way chelsea can overtake Arsenal and Manure will surely be sore after this seasons diabolical efforts (by their own standards). If JM thinks he can get away with cutting the current 46 man squad down to around 21 AND bring in his own players then he clearly has little idea how to approach this mammoth task. Managing Porto was all well and fine and his achievements have to be admired. managing cfc is a much bigger problem for him. he has players with masive egos, players on massiv emoney, players who are clearly just there for the money and players who are there cause they want to be. Its a club with an owner who has a bigger ego than the playing staff and this is where the major problems will arise. JM has shown himself to be his own man. How will he cope with donkey kenyon and Abramovitch watching every step he takes ? My view is that chelsea have bitten off far more than they can chew with their over purchasing last year. Rumours in the London press suggest he will immediatley off load Veron,Desailley,Petit,Huth,Gallas, babayaro and a number of fringe players, whilst they will listen to offers for Mutu,JFH,Crespo and Gudjohnnson. Seems to me that there will be plenty on offer for buying or loaning as a lot of the above mentioned players are on five yr deals (except JFH). RA has shown he may have the financial clout but he is missing a lot of common dog. as for the donkey Kenyon ? well he is a disgrace with the contempt he has shown for C Ranieri and the playing staff and fans of cfc. Not too sure as to whether the media interviews of Terry and Lampard have been aired yet but both are sure to be edited as they come out in big support for CR ! -

I am with Scotty on this one. however now he is a Rover he gets my full backing. At the same time I remain sceptical on how he can improve our front line.
