gotto remember guys and girls we have been there, we have seen it and we have the t shirt. Fortunately for us we had the luck, we had Sir Jack walker, we had a manager that shook the clubs foundations, and we had the supporters and team all working in one direction and that was go get back into the big time. We were deserving of promotion back to the PL. With leeds, wolves and leicester its a different story. Wolves are in debt to the tune of 25 million, have a very volatile board if rumours are to be believed, a lot of back biting, imminent sales of shares to raise revenue and repay jack hayward is initial outlay, a team that has little direction, a manager that although a shrewd operator could easily find himself being given another job. Leicester only just survived the last administration and are heading back there, if they do then its an automatic 10 point penalty before a ball is kicked. Another team heavily in debt, full of over aged players, its only assets in walker and Izzet will be gone for free, a manager that again could be offered a route out of the club, a major backroom upheaval. The parachute payment they will receive will not even cover bonus payments to players such as walker,Izzet,Ferdinand,Elliot and davidson. then we come to the mighty leeds. Their problems are well documented. A club in disarray, players having to be sold for a fraction of their real value, a rudderless ship in stormy waters, backroom upheaval, possible a total of over 20 players will leave as they cannot afford their wages throughout the summer, a major loss of sponsorship, merchandise and other income, administration staring them right in the face hence another 10 point penalty. if you recall Rovers got lucky with only having to sell Sutton as the major asset to counteract relegation losses, alright others left as well but they were adequately replaced at that time. Leeds will not be in the same position as we found ourselves in as the market is bottomed in the transfer world. leeds and the other two are going to find it very difficult to earn themselves an instant return to the Premiership. A first division with the likes of Forest, Sunderland,Ipswich,Wham,Millwall,Sheff utd, palace,Wigan, watford, preston and the dingles is going to be a very hard year for them, not only to get into a promotion position but simply to establish themselves in that league. I cannot see any of the three clubs making a challenge for an instant return. there are going to be lots of reports, lots of people blaming others, lots of in fighting at Leeds its the idiot ridsdale that needs to hang his head in shame. I genuinely fear that we may have seen the last of Leeds as a force in the "big club" bracket. the only plus side is this At least Gordon Strachan is going to be available should our own manager leave the club. -

because the silver haired numpty refused to budge and then when they offered him a ridiculous amount of money to accept a deal he turned them down flat. hence at the moment his interest in sheffield wed cannot be carried forward. they offered him allegedy around 6 million pounds for his stake in the hotel and the rights to the building. he refused and after a lengthy dispute he acted with lawyers and now cfc cannot do business until the matter is sorted. cant think of the word to describe the action but it was something along the lines similar to freezing operating accounts within a business -
will there be a happy hour then ?

just an update chelsea have NOT spoken to any player that has been proposed in the media chelsea have NOT already appointed Jose Mourinho as manager chelsea have NOT agreed to sell duff and makalele chelsea have NOT managed to purchase their own training ground despite RA's wealth as the local council will NOT sell for any price and finally just to really put a spider in the web chelsea cannot do any transfer business until the pay off old fathead bates, he has the trump card as he retained the rights to the top floor of the hotel which RA wants to pull down to rebuild the stand. old fathead has managed to get an injunction which still has 60 days to run. -

as far as the nw line is concerned there are no trains to directly connect london to Preston. The lines at crewe are being replaced meaning the 1935 train from Euston to Preston is now terminating at crewe if indeed it actually runs. The 2030 train is still not confirmed either. The 1910 from London to mancheter is definately running and there are few seats left if you wnat reserved bookings. outward to london its the 0820ish train we are on and that has NO reserved seats left, cost for the outward ticket was 22 quid with the return being 11 quid. There is also connecting trains from Manchester to Preston/Bpool at 2312hrs. "All later trains are subject to major changes" a NW trains spokesperson said. -

forgot to mention that going via manchester is the better option (if yr North West). -
for those of us going to tottenham in two weeks time, and in particular those wanting to travel by train should be aware of the fact that the returning trains are terminating at crewe ! when the trains arrive at crewe a bus service will take you onto Preston. Further to that spurs have been advertising the fact that they dont enjoy fans throwing tickertape in the stadium as its a nuisance when it ocmes to cleaning it up. Anyone fancy the idea of throwing lots of the stuff around white tart lane week on saturday ?

sad really but in the context of the comments ONLY the truth really hurt him on this occasion -
Alan thats a good read and of course a very well placed judgement of Souness, the fans and of course the ex players. # If our jan thinks he or she is going to enjoy the champions league with celtic then I would hope that he/she thinks about just how good the current celtic team are compared to most of the top class euro teams. There is no doubting the fantastic supporters and the super stadium. The question mark over celtic is that this season they have won what has got to be the worst ever Scottish Premier League ever. I mean Rangers cannot cope both financially and on the pitch, they have just as many freebies as Leicester City. Hearts,Hibs,Aberdeen,Livingston,Dundee x 2,Partick,Motherwell,Dunfermline and Kilmarnock do not exactly represent worthy challengers do they ? I know you can only play the team that is put in front of you but seriously Jan if you are considering that celtic can produce the required level in the CL first round next year your in a bigger dreamworld thatn forfar Athletic. I hope you enjoy your games, we at Rovers will watch with envy I am sure. But what I would say is that whilst watching the demise of the bhoys come on down to Ewood and see a rejuvenated football team
-
there is NO individual responsible its the whole first team set up. Saunders should not be the coach for starters. Souness needs to admit to having no man managements skills whatsoever Parkes needs to be himself and stop being a yes man the doctor needs to bang a few heads rather than kicking in doors at away grounds in particular bolton the players need to take a long hard look in the mirror, they should reimburse the fans for that utter crud of an effort on the pitch today. How remarkable are the fans putting up with such crap week in week out. finally lady luck should go and wipe her big fat bum on the blackburn end goal, as thats were we are seeing the end of our premiership life. it hurts like hell Rovers now get off yer butts and do something about it

cannot see him resigning just yet, may be the coup de gras will be on Saturday next

lobbing dog poo ? well mate thats one thing I can honestly say I have never done !! The whole club need the spirit of one Mr Walker to give them an almighty kick up the arse. The players have stolen their wages over the past 3 months rather than earned it (THE MAJORITY ANYHOW). J Williams needs to kick some serious arse and NOW
-
I wonder what is being said behind closed doors today ? how much lady luck has gone, was it a penalty ? GS its time to either shape up or ship out and this is a 100% supporter that has always been for you. we are now desperate
-
stark answer is NO being at the game made you realise (if you were not alreay aware) that we were poor, no effort, no pride, no NOTHING
-
tris well said mate, couldnt have put it better myself. My missus is doing her trolley in as all my overtime that was earned over xmas/jan and feb was going to the holiday pot as usual its just that Rovers have a need and I need to be there ! Not a happy bunny with me spending all the money ! (jhc that rhymes). As for Abbey, well mate if jim can have an orgasm at 89yrs of age then I want to know what he drinks
