  1. scotty we arrive 1211 at eston from picadilly. where are you considering whetting your gullet ? or are you considering an alcohol free day based on the fat that you fell asleep on your last outing ? pm me and we can meet up. can anyone suggest a decent pub we can turn into real Blue and White colours pre match ??
  2. we are 0827 from manchester arriving at 1211 return trip is deaprting 1911 arriving at manchester 2246 There are no reserved seats available for the outward journey according to virgin I know there are quite a few Rovers fans booked on that train.
  3. as far as the nw line is concerned there are no trains to directly connect london to Preston. The lines at crewe are being replaced meaning the 1935 train from Euston to Preston is now terminating at crewe if indeed it actually runs. The 2030 train is still not confirmed either. The 1910 from London to mancheter is definately running and there are few seats left if you wnat reserved bookings. outward to london its the 0820ish train we are on and that has NO reserved seats left, cost for the outward ticket was 22 quid with the return being 11 quid. There is also connecting trains from Manchester to Preston/Bpool at 2312hrs. "All later trains are subject to major changes" a NW trains spokesperson said.
  4. forgot to mention that going via manchester is the better option (if yr North West).
  5. for those of us going to tottenham in two weeks time, and in particular those wanting to travel by train should be aware of the fact that the returning trains are terminating at crewe ! when the trains arrive at crewe a bus service will take you onto Preston. Further to that spurs have been advertising the fact that they dont enjoy fans throwing tickertape in the stadium as its a nuisance when it ocmes to cleaning it up. Anyone fancy the idea of throwing lots of the stuff around white tart lane week on saturday ?
  6. sad really but in the context of the comments ONLY the truth really hurt him on this occasion
  7. Alan thats a good read and of course a very well placed judgement of Souness, the fans and of course the ex players. # If our jan thinks he or she is going to enjoy the champions league with celtic then I would hope that he/she thinks about just how good the current celtic team are compared to most of the top class euro teams. There is no doubting the fantastic supporters and the super stadium. The question mark over celtic is that this season they have won what has got to be the worst ever Scottish Premier League ever. I mean Rangers cannot cope both financially and on the pitch, they have just as many freebies as Leicester City. Hearts,Hibs,Aberdeen,Livingston,Dundee x 2,Partick,Motherwell,Dunfermline and Kilmarnock do not exactly represent worthy challengers do they ? I know you can only play the team that is put in front of you but seriously Jan if you are considering that celtic can produce the required level in the CL first round next year your in a bigger dreamworld thatn forfar Athletic. I hope you enjoy your games, we at Rovers will watch with envy I am sure. But what I would say is that whilst watching the demise of the bhoys come on down to Ewood and see a rejuvenated football team
  8. there is NO individual responsible its the whole first team set up. Saunders should not be the coach for starters. Souness needs to admit to having no man managements skills whatsoever Parkes needs to be himself and stop being a yes man the doctor needs to bang a few heads rather than kicking in doors at away grounds in particular bolton the players need to take a long hard look in the mirror, they should reimburse the fans for that utter crud of an effort on the pitch today. How remarkable are the fans putting up with such crap week in week out. finally lady luck should go and wipe her big fat bum on the blackburn end goal, as thats were we are seeing the end of our premiership life. it hurts like hell Rovers now get off yer butts and do something about it
  9. cannot see him resigning just yet, may be the coup de gras will be on Saturday next
  10. lobbing dog poo ? well mate thats one thing I can honestly say I have never done !! The whole club need the spirit of one Mr Walker to give them an almighty kick up the arse. The players have stolen their wages over the past 3 months rather than earned it (THE MAJORITY ANYHOW). J Williams needs to kick some serious arse and NOW
  11. I wonder what is being said behind closed doors today ? how much lady luck has gone, was it a penalty ? GS its time to either shape up or ship out and this is a 100% supporter that has always been for you. we are now desperate
  12. stark answer is NO being at the game made you realise (if you were not alreay aware) that we were poor, no effort, no pride, no NOTHING
  13. tris well said mate, couldnt have put it better myself. My missus is doing her trolley in as all my overtime that was earned over xmas/jan and feb was going to the holiday pot as usual its just that Rovers have a need and I need to be there ! Not a happy bunny with me spending all the money ! (jhc that rhymes). As for Abbey, well mate if jim can have an orgasm at 89yrs of age then I want to know what he drinks
  14. thats why he is the Main Man at Rovers whilst your a retired journo !!
  15. swish there is more chance of hell freezeing over than you not renewing your season ticket ! once a Blue ALWAYS a Blue villagers villagers villagers
  16. me thinks the plan will be to FREEZE the ticket prices. the reason may well be that Rovers have no massive outlay in signing on fees and bonus payments like the previous years (if we are to believe JW intentions). So the actual wage turnover begins a sharp decrease this financial year. So it may be quite a positive move to freeze them or similar introduce another bonus for longstanding season ticket holders but at the same time offering an incentive to renewing/first time buyers. I sincerely hope they are not planning for anationwide season cause we would never get out of it
  17. what a lot of crap some of you write. Get behind the club, get to the games and shout some encouragement, your indefinitive drivel makes me want to puke !!
  18. leeds cannot rely on fans stumping up the cash for next season tickets in March ! What fan is going to pay 400-800 quid only to see it devoured in the debt owed to creditors as that is a real possiblity. Also the depreciation value of the players will have all gone down another 20% (if we use the figures Rovers quoted) therefore any potential sales/transfers will all be lowered. The club is on its arse big style. The big named players "smith" "viduka" and "matteo" are the only ones that will command decent transfer fees. the youngsters "milner" "kilgannon" will only being in moderate fees as they are only tied to "first contracts" that are renewable at 18 yrs of age. If leeds do stave off administration on friday then it will be nothing short of a miracle. Personally I used to like the way leeds played their football, if they go down then I think they will struggle to get back.
  19. just where would we take 25 lads in a tranny van if dingleville when they do go out of business ? dont be too harsh on the dingle
  20. now that really made me chuckle on this rainy morning The ASDA scenario is not too bad an idea, didnt the winkers do much the same when they sold half the away end at burnden park to Normid ? They were in serious trouble and sold out if I recall. As for saving Leeds, well if we believe all the reports that appear in the media then they surely must go into administration on Friday following the cock up over Robinson and lack of a sale of Viduka (heard the 4 mill alleged bid was more like 2.5 mill from boro!). I just wonder how they can manage to survive. Its a sad scenario but they only have themselves to blame. I mean Champs League semis then this, doesn't bear thinking about does it ?
  21. PL have agreed to let Gray stay as manager until the end of season in a special dispensation according to bbci some good news for a change
  22. 28 staff made redundant this morning eddie grays contract is now up and according to the fact he has no eufa badge he can no longer manage them a large number of players are granted free transfers as from today. wages are currently 35% in deferral trouble ? wot trouble ??
  23. Leeds CANNOT command massive fees for their players in their current state as any serious money would be handed to creditors - at this time the creditors have set a limit of income into the club for the clubs purpose - if anthing over that limit is recieved then it goes out immediately, the other consideration is the lease companies that loaned cash against players values would then be able to step in and claim what is rightfully theirs. £106 million seems to be a conservative estimate, mssrs Lorimar and Clarke have been interviewed by radio and put the debt at a total of around £135 million ! Whatever happens they appear snookered by the finance debts and surely if the players dont help out then they are doomed to failure. it will be interesting at 0900hrs on friday when the announcement to the Stock Market is released.
  24. Souness is the solution whats needed is a new business plan a big overhaul of the club is required to prevent the current situation happening again and that involves new training regime new coach addition to backroom staff and finally a big cup of lady luck
