  1. paul I hear your words stats flitty passes completed 25 Tugay 15 flitty tackles won 25 tugay 14 flitty tackles lost 1 tugay 10
  2. cant see Rovers letting him go UNLESS Cole himself asks. AC is a very reserved and private person, we have never seen him hogging the limelight of the media, we have always seen him as a dull and drab player media wise. Okay his attitude may not be exactly right, he does sulk but who doesn't ? Andy Cole is good for Rovers, I totally agree that with a more consistent Emerton and a good left sided midfielder we would see a vastly improved goal ration from our strikers. But at the end of the day its the DEFENCE that needs sorting I mean we CAN score goals, actually lots of them
  3. my summary (I am seriously suffering withdrawals !!) Enckleman - rammed taunts down the brummies throats gray - good outing reid - should have had more down the right hand side nissa - solid won everything almost short - flat footed but solid tugay - huffed and puffed and tried too hard when the easier ball was on douglas - played much better than of late but still shows a lack of pace/knowledge of the game and positioning andreson - broke play up well flitcroft - played well cole - good game and worked hard stead - same solid outing emerton - a big enigma still. has all the space and pace and constantly gives the ball away neill - solid but fouled for the goal Gally - not enough time to do anything Souness - cannot understand his perserverance with douglas but he can obviously see more than us 24000 hardy Rovers fans can see. His tactics were spot on in the second 45 so why did he get wrong in the first half ? fans - good send off for the team after a very dodgy season. funniest thing apart from the ref getting knocked over by Short was the little drama outside. "Hardman"runs up to opposition supporter hands raised and faced athunder, shouting and raving "come on then"! Cue little opposition fan (rovers supporter) one punch and brum fan flat out with a cut head. Classic I have never seen a more comical incident in ages.

  14. gotto remember guys and girls we have been there, we have seen it and we have the t shirt. Fortunately for us we had the luck, we had Sir Jack walker, we had a manager that shook the clubs foundations, and we had the supporters and team all working in one direction and that was go get back into the big time. We were deserving of promotion back to the PL. With leeds, wolves and leicester its a different story. Wolves are in debt to the tune of 25 million, have a very volatile board if rumours are to be believed, a lot of back biting, imminent sales of shares to raise revenue and repay jack hayward is initial outlay, a team that has little direction, a manager that although a shrewd operator could easily find himself being given another job. Leicester only just survived the last administration and are heading back there, if they do then its an automatic 10 point penalty before a ball is kicked. Another team heavily in debt, full of over aged players, its only assets in walker and Izzet will be gone for free, a manager that again could be offered a route out of the club, a major backroom upheaval. The parachute payment they will receive will not even cover bonus payments to players such as walker,Izzet,Ferdinand,Elliot and davidson. then we come to the mighty leeds. Their problems are well documented. A club in disarray, players having to be sold for a fraction of their real value, a rudderless ship in stormy waters, backroom upheaval, possible a total of over 20 players will leave as they cannot afford their wages throughout the summer, a major loss of sponsorship, merchandise and other income, administration staring them right in the face hence another 10 point penalty. if you recall Rovers got lucky with only having to sell Sutton as the major asset to counteract relegation losses, alright others left as well but they were adequately replaced at that time. Leeds will not be in the same position as we found ourselves in as the market is bottomed in the transfer world. leeds and the other two are going to find it very difficult to earn themselves an instant return to the Premiership. A first division with the likes of Forest, Sunderland,Ipswich,Wham,Millwall,Sheff utd, palace,Wigan, watford, preston and the dingles is going to be a very hard year for them, not only to get into a promotion position but simply to establish themselves in that league. I cannot see any of the three clubs making a challenge for an instant return. there are going to be lots of reports, lots of people blaming others, lots of in fighting at Leeds its the idiot ridsdale that needs to hang his head in shame. I genuinely fear that we may have seen the last of Leeds as a force in the "big club" bracket. the only plus side is this At least Gordon Strachan is going to be available should our own manager leave the club.
  15. city fans had to pay up at the beginning of the year to secure their seat. as for my rovers season ticket on the very day my renewal notice comes through my wife will be straight down to ewood to pay up otherwise she is sacked
  16. because the silver haired numpty refused to budge and then when they offered him a ridiculous amount of money to accept a deal he turned them down flat. hence at the moment his interest in sheffield wed cannot be carried forward. they offered him allegedy around 6 million pounds for his stake in the hotel and the rights to the building. he refused and after a lengthy dispute he acted with lawyers and now cfc cannot do business until the matter is sorted. cant think of the word to describe the action but it was something along the lines similar to freezing operating accounts within a business
  17. just an update chelsea have NOT spoken to any player that has been proposed in the media chelsea have NOT already appointed Jose Mourinho as manager chelsea have NOT agreed to sell duff and makalele chelsea have NOT managed to purchase their own training ground despite RA's wealth as the local council will NOT sell for any price and finally just to really put a spider in the web chelsea cannot do any transfer business until the pay off old fathead bates, he has the trump card as he retained the rights to the top floor of the hotel which RA wants to pull down to rebuild the stand. old fathead has managed to get an injunction which still has 60 days to run.
