  1. I really hope that no one gets on Pedersen's back too quickly. He needs time to adjust to the pace and physical nature of the game, very few players walk into the premiership and find it easy, especially at his age. A few seem a bit too happy to point out what he isn't or can't do at the moment, just give the boy some time.
  2. I don't think it matters who's in charge, who the players are or anything of that sort. People will come if we start getting results. Look at Bolton. I know people say "what about when we finished 6th, they weren't that much higher", but I think now the will be a greater appreciation of the success the clug achieves. Am I being naiive, possibly, but if there is anything that will make supporters come back to the club, it's going to be what goes on during those 90 minutes.
  3. For me the only positions where we are really covered is the Goalkeeper and Midfield. Both the defence and up front we will need to bring new players in, hopefully in January, but we could probably make do until the summer.
  4. Im really looking forward to getting my first full match look at him in the Charlton game. I'm not saying he'll be starting, just so far I've only seen highlights, but he looks to be a good player. For once it also seems we have a bit of a selection headache upfront. Dickov is working his socks of and creating problems for the opposition, Stead has shown last season that he can score goals, and good goals, at this level, Bothroyd has pace, power and skill and deserves a chance, while Jansen's goal at the weekend also puts him back in contention.
  5. I voted for Le Saux as he is certainly the best I've ever seen play for Rovers, though it is true I'm not that old. I see Gray has yet to get any votes, which is right, but where has his number 1 fan gone?
  6. Cole has come out and said how he like the fans, players and club, just not Souey. I'm not too bothered Cole is gone, he will fade, remember he scored a few goals early on last season as well with a brace against Wolves and Chelsea. We'll see where he ends up come the end of the season, and if he hasnt scored 15+, then on his wages, the club made the right decision.
  7. Good Call MB I don't like it when supporters develop a "hatred" for their own players, even if they aren't good enough. If they go out and give their all, it's not their fault they were thrown in when they weren't up to standard. I don't think Matteo is good enough to be in our starting 11, as a squad player I think he could be useful, however, he hasn't done anything that I know of that could possibly make anyone dislike him.
  8. Amazing how one win can change the general atmosphere of this board. It's great to have a positive feel, but we did only win one game.
  9. And possibly many were simply confused and didn't understand quite what had happened.
  10. "Blackburn's other problem has been winning at home, surprising for a club with such passionate supporters." That's an interesting way of putting it haha. He talks well about our club, nice little article.
  11. It seems the only time he puts in that extra effort is when he's swinging his fist towards a defenders face, "applying pressure" I suppose he'll call it.
  12. This is why football fans always annoy me. If you lose, they always find chances you should have scored, and disregard any other chances the opposition had. If you win, they always find chances the opposition should have scored, and disregard any other chances that you yourselves had. In this case, we ignore the fact that we went close to scoring on several other occasions, and choose instead to say that the score should have been 3-1 to them. Where is the logic in that? We took a chance, they didn't, that's a pretty important part of the match, and so we won. Maybe they should have had a penalty, but we should have had about 50 between now and when we last had one, and just think back to the Southampton game, we deserve to get some luck, we have a lot more to come until it balances itself out.
  13. By the way you talk you would think that Hughsey is playing Maybe he has come he to get his career started again?
  14. I see Saunders is one of the favourites to take over from Hughes. Is it possible that Souness will now lose his little lover?
  15. This should also show the boys at Sky what a good and tempting job being the manager of Rovers is. For Hughes to leave the relative security of his previous job, one which he was very proud to be doing, says that there is obviously a reason to be at Ewood Park.
  16. Jan is a woman? haha I never knew
  17. Findland isn't part of Scandinavia. End of story
  18. Good news. Hopefully we can get this all tied up relatively quickly qnd the team will be able to get back on track.
  19. Jim I suppose I am one of those whom you are talking about, as I was a Souness suporter. Now that he his gone I am not bothered, I don't think we have lost anything major and I don't like the way in which he left. However, when he was at the club, like any manager here (barring those bringing the club to absolute ruin) I was going to support him. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt based on the success he has brought to the club in the first 3 years he was here, and so was willing to give him time in order for him to show that he had the club back on the right track. Now that he is gone though, I'm happy to get a new man in with new ideas. I wouldn't have been happy if he had been sacked, though I'm sure none of that really makes sense when all put together
  20. Would it even be possible for us to merge the four clubs and still remain in the top flight? Im not saying that this is what I want to do, I enjoy being Blackburn Rovers and having our local rivals, the idea simply interests me.
  21. Its when you see things like that, that you realise that so many of us on this board simply have too much free time haha.
  22. Would you really like JW to say "Well we've had a few applicants but I'm not really sure why as our squad is crap and we are doomed to be relegated. Whoever the poor sod is who we choose to take over will have his career and name ruined by this club, and probably even his own family will disown him". We do have a good squad, it has it's problems, with the biggest one being that it has no staff.
  23. I'm not worried about losing Ferguson. He is a great player, but if Souness was to come back in for him, the sort of money we would be talking about, probably somewhere around the 10 million mark, if spent well, would help improve the team.
  24. Always been a big Souness supporter, but after seeing how he's just up and left, I have lost all respect for the man. His passion and drive are admirable, but for me this has just put a big question mark over the entire thing.
