Well that's your view. You been wanting Mowbray out for around 3 seasons.

If my view Changes I will post on here

and I think it's pretty clear I've been proven right.

I would never, ever have appointed him in the first place as I've stated since he first joined us.

i find it amazing that mowbray or venus who were both hardcore defenders can`t organise a defence,do they actually work on defending at brockhall

Winterburn was a decent defender and became 'a defensive coach' and, IMO, was hopeless at it.

You need the right mindset.  Howard Kendall had it, Mark Hughes had it, Big Sam had it.

I must admit, never seen the Greek lad play. What are his main attributes that make him a better bet than Pears ?

80 league games in Bulgaria's top league including Europa experience for a start in comparison to 20 appearances Pears seems to have scrambled together for M'boro over a number of years.

Pears was one of the most nervous / unconvincing debuts I've seen from a Rovers' goalie.

  4. Appointing managers on the so called cheap is a nonsense when you were in then for some £130million+ which has now risen to almost £200million+.

Would you allow KwikFit or ATS to service your Bentley or the local school art teacher to restore your newly discovered Rembrandt!?

    Pay peanuts and get monkeys.

The three key appointments for any football club, IMO, are the football manager, the chief scout and the CEO.  IMO, our three are 3rd rate.

  5. Think this is Mowbray getting his excuses in already!

    https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18829099.rovers-boss-left-frustrated-early-season-unavailability/

All teams are in the same boat with injuries and coronavirus - it's par for the course.

Also, it was Mowbray's actions, or inaction more likely, in the window which resulted in either 3 or 4 signings on the last day of the window.  For all the so called planning and different lists, to get to the last day of the window to make what's perceived as crucial signings is a nonsense.  There was nothing to stop him wheeling and dealing in the 'close season', just as countless other Rovers' managers have had to do.  One poster claimed it was Lenihan for whom we turned down a £10million bid - if that's correct, it's worse, IMO, than paying £5million for Gallagher!

Just feckin sick of, IMO, excuse after excuse and trite soundbite after trite soundbite.  IMO, the day Mowbray leaves Ewood (and i will open a bottle of my finest red in celebration) will be a day perhaps when a replacement brings hunger, dynamism, positivity and innovation to the club.

This one is so bloody blatant though.

Doing a favour for an old Boro team mate with others money.

    Skin of a fecking Rhino.

    I think It is.

IMO, there can be no justification in giving Pears a four year deal.

He is a 22 year old goalie with just some 20 first team appearances for M'boro.

A sought after talent - no.

IMO, at most, it should have been a 12 month deal with a 12 month option.  If he said no, where was he going as clearly Warnock didn't want nor presumably rate him.

Stergiakis was signed on a three year deal with a one year option - a 21 year old with already 80 first team appearances in Bulgaria's top league and Europa experience.  A deal that makes much more sense.

Why we signed Pears is beyond me.  Waggott and Mowbray, IMO, should be hauled over the coals for what I think is an indefensible contract.

The point is, he hasn't. He has obviously had his Twitter account and his account here hacked.

If he's been working and left his desk top / laptop open, work colleagues are notorious for pranks.

Sounds like some of the stuff is a bit more than a prank though - sadly, there are folk like that around.

Didn't Chaddy recently say he works some night shifts?

I wouldnt be sacking Mowbray at all.

I'm happy to get him the entire season with his team and see where we finish.

Plenty of games left. This league is wide open. Home games arent home games anymore. Every game is neutral venue in reality without fans

Then some will say, let's give him another window, let's see how we start, let's see where we are after 6 matches, let's see where we are after 12 matches, let's see where we are at Christmas, let's give him another window, let's give him the season.

And, IMO,  round and round in circles we go on a feckin journey to nowhere other than to Mowbray's pension pot.

He's been here almost four years now and I think enough is a feckin enough.

Individual errors and misfortune cost us.

But Evans isn't suited to the middle 3, and JRC would be better suited there imo.

What cost us is the manager who signs players and select players who are either prone to error or simply not good enough and hence error prone - it's compounded when he continues to select them!

You also make your own luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, I think Mowbray's journey finishes back on Teeside with a huge pension pot courtesy of Rovers.

  10. As deflated tonight as I was elated on Saturday.

Just fed up with, IMO, Mowbray's bullsh1t.

    https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18826614.lacked-confidence---mowbrays-verdict-reading-defeat/

"We’re a team on a journey, the signs are there" - think it's a journey to nowhere!

“There was no intention to get him any game-time this soon, playing outside of his box is foreign to him, to be part of the build-up, and to concede a goal after eight seconds is very disappointing for him" - IMO, bullsh1t, a goalie's main job is to command his box and make feckin saves.

It's only one game, of course, but I didnt rate Pears. Mostly I feel his positional sense is wayward. He gets drawn to the ball too easily. Absolutely caught in no man's land for the first. Looks like a major area of needed improvement for him.

His best work was in stopping us putting it in our own net. He did react well to that.

    Warnock's no fool.

IMO, more charitable work from Mowbray - a four year deal for a bang average goalie is ludicrous.

Don't think he's any better than Steele and worse than Walton - says it all.
