  1. Past hour
  2. Bloody hell, talk about the pot calling the kettle black. You hang off Nixon's every word when he says something you like. Now he's posted something which doesn't align with your super positive point of view you're more or less ignoring it. Lol.
  3. 100% spot on. I do find it really strange how some are so desperate not to blame or criticise Rovers that they will happily watch the good managers and that important core of senior players broken up and offloaded to the likes of Derby and Wrexham What is happening here is just another step along the Venky stripping down or the club and gutting it of assets. Nothing more or less to it than that What the fans, manager or players want or think is totally irrelevant. The issue is with Rovers and their approach.
  4. Dolan out of contract, brittain Travis tronstad heading that way, if it’s not the clubs fault who’s it 🤣🤣 some would argue the clubs best 4 players. Any other club in the championship giving away there prize assets? Brereton free, szmodics Wharton sold on the cheap. Not the clubs fault tho.
  5. And selling both would just about cover the 4 or so they requested from India. It's all about that black hole now and in a few months there'll be another one.
  6. Yes I may have heard that mentioned once or twice! 🤣 I meant recently as that was what the poster I replied to was alluding to.
  7. You arent blaming Rovers? Theres a surprise. This shouldnt be a discussion now, it should have long since be sorted. We shouldnt be coming into a summer where we already need a number of signings having also to manage key contract issues. They should have been offered deals long before now, and we would know either way if they were staying or going. Instead we get excuses. "Lets wait until the end of the season" and "lets wait until we know what division we are in." Last season was built on two things. The managerial ability of Eustace who has now gone and a core of really solid Championship players like Tronstad, Travis, Brittain, Batth, Hyam, Dolan etc and it seens possible that most wont be at the club next season. All to be replaced by players from abroad on cheaper wages.
  8. Disgusting cash grab from fifa. The club world cup can jog on
  9. It's the old 'Lenihan ploy' Exactly the same narrative with him - claims from Rovers that he had been offered a good, substantial deal, that we could do no more just as he trotted off to Middlesbrough No evidence, or reason to believe, that Rovers have even initiated talks with these players. The players themselves were clear on this a mere 8-12 weeks ago. Since then they've been on holiday for the last 6 weeks You're already at it - believing that a reasonable deal is on the table but that the player is after 'big money' and that Rovers are entirely reasonable in their approach. This is the problem. We wouldn't even be discussing this if Rovers had approached this reasonably because these players would have been under proper length contracts, other clubs wouldn't be in any position of strength to entice people away.
  10. Didn't say you have. However, Nixons wording plants the seeds in the wider fanbases mind that they are at fault for wanting too much money so we're better off "cashing in".
  11. That’s rubbish, nobody deserves to be on as much as brittain, Travis, or tronstad. Our 3 key players should be our highest earners, there isn’t anyone else in the squad who has the right to ask to be on the same as them.
  12. Yes, which i stated at the start of you quoting me that this is a Nixon story I believe.
  13. no one has blame the players for asking for more have we? and just to be clear I ain't blaming Rovers either. I see all 3 players has key players so I would put them on good wages and make them highest earners here but also you have to be careful cos of the knock on effect of that cos then other players agents will be knock on the door asking for new contracts and higher wages for their players.
  14. You’ve moved the goalposts on the discussion. We were on about Nixon’s reporting. We all know that Venkys are billionaires and could fund if they wanted to. But they won’t. So you agree that Nixon is probably correct that Travis will want to go to Wrexham for more money and more ambition if given the chance?
  15. We're owned by billionaires, of course we could keep him if we wanted too, however this club doesn't want a certain type of player anymore so I can only presume that we don't really want to keep him. Every player? i didn't say that on De Neve? And it starts, always the players fault.
  16. Good old Nixon wins the game of bingo Rovers 'trying' to tie them down Offering a good length contract Players are after 'big' money and waiting on other clubs That's the party line right there, as predicted and exactly the narrative the club stooges want the paying fans to believe. The truth is we haven't tried. The players confirmed this relatively recently in their press interviews. What we see now is the cover up con job to try and shift the blame and narrative and convince some of the naive elements of the support base that we've 'done all we can' before a sale is rushed through Total and utter liars and charlatans still using Nixon and Telegraph to do their dirty work.
  17. He’s apparently very adept at ghosting in at the far post.
  18. I have read the Nicko story and He has reported that Travis has been offered a 3 year contract but he is asking for big money and waiting on Wrexham to make an acceptable bid. Fee mentioned in the article is £2m plus extras. Brittain is asking for more money than we been offered. That is what has been reported by Nicko. my thoughts are Wrexham will offered big wages above what we will of £25k plus weekly wages and I don't see Rovers doing that. Would you do that? Also I think we will get Brittain and Tronstad new contracts done before the start of the season
  19. Oh well if you’re pretty sure we could keep Travis even though he’ll be offered more money elsewhere and will be going to a club on the rise, he’ll be signing any day now. Even though you know that ‘historically’ Rovers offer some some of the lowest wages in the division and have zero ambition? And every player we’re linked with you say ‘no chance’ so you know nobody wants to come here cos it’s shit. Make it make sense.
  20. And we dont sign up existing first team players to new contracts anymore. If we genuinely wanted to keep Travis, I'm pretty sure we could, however as history suggests our offer will be token at best. Some stories Nixon pens I will believe based on historical information available, others i won't. So I can have it both ways.
