Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
sharpysharps86 replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Presumably you were disgusted at what Reading fans did a couple of years ago?...and Blackpool fans a few years back under the Oyston ownership. Yet I don't recall any swathes of negativity in the press about what those fans did. If anything there was increased support for them and more of a spotlight put on the ownerships at those clubs. -

Not a bad idea. I think we're at the stage where as many people as possible need to carry out an agreed and organised protest every week. Boycott one week, go in on 18 mins, leave on 75, another, fill the ground on a Venky's out day, whatever. Do as many slightly different things as possible to keep it fresh. -

Yes it very much would be something to be proud of. Of course, you’d be the very first enjoying the fruits of new ownership if such actions led to something. -

Your idea of invading the pitch is a serious one which is breaking the law? -

you think getting a game called off by protesting and running the pitch is something to be proud off, is that not embarrassing? -

We've never organised a serious match protest How is giving the owners more money a good solution? -

Why would the Pompey version of Neil Yardley have the foggiest idea about a Blackburn Rovers player’s contract? -

Have you heard of a rhetorical question? Its clearly not true, Portsmouth commentators wouldnt know that. Use critical thinking. -

I always like to read Arbitro’s habitual post match reflections and also Parson’s comments, albeit these appear to be less frequent. A bit worried that even the considered thoughts from these two Board stalwarts appear to be drying up amidst the continued frustration, chaos and wanton destruction of our beloved club. Sad times, indeed ! -

protests have been done and done, nothing change. As I said before, I don't have the solution but I won't break the law or invade the pitch. The best idea was from Carl this morning but yet again Kidders didn't like straight away and dismiss it -

I've said above, concerted and persistent action. Persistence is the key. Once it's started never let up. I'd be prepared to participate in any legal and organised forms of protest if any were announced. What's your solution? -

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
RevidgeBlue replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I can't remember Mowbray specifically saying that but it does sound like the sort of thing he would have said as he had absolutely no ambition for the Club. A proper manager would have been fighting tooth and nail to keep our better players, operate with a slightly smaller squad or whatever. Not be happily waving them out of the door. -

sharpysharps86 replied to Elrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It's basically a rumour started by a commentator and we have no idea where they got that from given it hasn't been mentioned anywhere else. It would be good news if it happened, but it doesn't really change anything in terms of the trajectory the club is following at the moment. -

what's your solution Rev? how do you forces owners based in India to sell? Are you going to there getting involve and playing your part in this supposedly action or just sit at home watching on TV as others do it? Can't agree there at all. Winning games is complete and utter relevant under any ownership, -

I expect there are reasons why this isn’t viable but how about: A match day protest outside the ground. Those who wish to attend the game can then do so as those who don’t remain where they are. -
