  1. Past hour
  2. Is the keeper a relation of Suhails? As bad as I've seen at this level.
  3. And yet that's the craziest one I've seen.
  4. Problem is you couldn't expect as high as portion of Ipswich fans to travel relative to the usual following, as Rovers fans, for 15 minutes of football. Free ticket or not. I think you'd have to make it behind closed doors (something else Ipswich couldn't complain about, if anything that gives them an edge vs the real game) and perhaps stream it for free somewhere (not sure if the rights allow for that, but just let Sky show it if they want).
  5. They would really piss off our COO... (all the costs of hosting a game but no revenue 😉)
  6. The only times I’ve seen these quoted is from an FA document which is aimed at lower level (ie amateur) football.
  7. Yes, the EFL regulations allow the leeway to make absolutely any decision which is the best way I think. (As long as they have the courage to use them) No 2 sets of circumstances are ever exactly the same therefore the more discretion the better. Tbf on the contrary I think I've seen some FA guidelines intimating a match will always be replayed etc.
  8. Today
  9. One thing I’ve learnt from this is how many different (and incorrect) interpretations of a regulation journalists and pundits can make. The number of them saying ‘the rules point towards…’ when they do anything but is quite frankly staggering.
  10. Nailed it. If Carlsberg did solutions........
  11. That's one of the worst tbh you can't be giving an option that isn't otherwise available in normal play. Award "a win" for Rovers but only one point for Rovers/ none for Ipswich? Two points for Rovers one for Ipswich - I mean c'mon fellas. It surely has to be either a full replay or (hopefully) 10 mins + ET 11 v 10 with points awarded as normal at the end of it. The longer we drag on with no decision the slightly more hopeful I get about the latter...... Will be a bit of a blow now if it's just the bogstandard replay we were all originally anticipating.
  12. Play the 10 mins if Ipswich aren't happy ... It's in no way 'fair' to go again 11 Vs 11 giving Ipswich another bite at it... Highly unlikely given Ipswich poor start and reduction to 10 they were winning that..
  13. Apparently signed for Rovers in 2022
  14. That is pretty much what we gleaned at the game. The lad is 14 (only just 14 btw) though and is already huge. Incredible really that he was plying his trade with on league Irlam Town up to last year. Rovers would have had to get permission for him to miss school this afternoon 😂.
  15. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/march/09/rovers-u13s-reach-national-final-/ https://cascais.ibercup.com/en/master/player/90597/stats Some info on Mbonzale, which may or may not be exactly what you found
  16. Seems you are right, and this situation will remain until Sherons successor is appointed
  17. Really poor defending cost Rovers dearly this afternoon as they literally threw away after goal advantage on two occasions. It wasn't like there hadn't been warnings prior to Blackpool second comeback as over playing in the wrong areas really bit them hard. From an attacking point of view we were good and always posed a threat at corners but the opposite can be said from defensive corners. For one of the Blackpool goals they won the first and second headers from a corner to score and this gave them the belief to go on and win it. We did have a young side out but in fairness it looked like Blackpool did too. A lot is expected of Silver Eze but he looked cumbersome and slow today particularly in the first half. He did look a bit sharper in the second half though. The replacement for Valentin Joseph, Christian Mbonzale had us flummoxed but a quick search told us he was born in August 2011 (if the information was accurate) and signed last year from Irlam Town. Physically he didn't look out of place and showed some nice touches. The youngsters looked deflated at full time but the naivety in game management really cost them.
  18. Rovers getting a single point for a win doesn’t mean Ipswich wouldn’t have lost the chance to get 3 points from a partial/full replay.
  19. Exhibit A in the Ipswich response to a suggestion that Rovers should be awarded a 1-0 win...
  20. Why the ‘have to’ when the league has endless other options available to them?
  21. Surely if the EFL made a decision both clubs would have to accept it, even if they don’t like the decision?
  22. It was only after I last posted at the weekend that saw just how bad the conditions were there. Initially thought the game could be seen through at 80 minutes but Yes the surface and ball together was simply unplayable. Whether you're Rovers or a Town fan or for or against what happened, it had to be in the interest of public safety the match was cut short when it was. The game will have to replayed, usually when or if there's crowd trouble and the match is stopped because of it the authorities award a home or away victory but since it's weather, they're going to have to erase the result and start again. The goal scored by your player won't stand neither will the score up until interruption but the Greaves red card is set to stay if I've read recent reports correct. Some people will question the latter. Even with a replayed game in the near future or whenever it be, you'd still strongly expect Blackburn to take a favourable result at your home stadium. We've been largely poor and ineffective this season and we're not going to transform into improvement overnight. I don't think what occurred this weekend or the planned return game will effect our chances of promotion this season. We've already lost a lot of ground to the top places even into September and there's no real consistency or urge to once again do well or succeed.
  23. Not really it's a fair compromise i'd say. No hassle or expense of a replay for either club, Rovers get the win but Ipswich can't squeal about losing 3 points to a panel judgement. Some of the suggestions on here are crazy to be honest.
