Apparently that's what we've offered. As usual, when a player gets into the last year of their contract, they know they can play the waiting game and get a better contract without commanding a transfer fee in a year's time. I think accepting a bid for Hyam must certainly ride on knowing if we can get a replacement through the door in time.

We are already leaking goals, losing Hyam so late in the window is absolute madness.

The pattern of the board has been to sell players this summer who aren't signing contract renewals. I expect the same to happen with Hyam. We need to pull a rabbit out of the hat to get a solid replacement in within the next few hours if that's the case. Throw money at Kapuadi, perhaps?

Nah, what I'm saying is I wouldn't have been against it if they were going at least use some of the funds to strengthen elsewhere like up front... Because we have cover at CB. I get you're frustrated, we've won 1 in 4 but at least try to see what people are saying. We can't keep letting millions of pounds worth of players walk out the door every season. What I'm saying is it's too late to reinvest it anyway.

Being an ever present is impressive but to say he didn’t put a foot wrong is nonsense, he makes lots of mistakes and is probably a lower end Championship standard player. Although selling him at this point would be utter madness, of course.

I think the idea of a Wrexam calling card for January makes sense - we would want to get something for him rather than nout.

That isnt well stocked. Losing by far our best centre back with that mixture of injury prone, a full back and a young lad out on loan.

I think he was fine last season, but for me he's never proven he can step up if he doesn't have a better player next to him.

I wouldn't have been against selling Hyam earlier in the window because we're pretty well stocked at CB with Mcgloughlin, Wharton, Miller, Carter & O Riordon (if need be) but at this stage of the window... We know that money will just get pocketed.

You’d be dumb enough not to like hyam. Played every single minute last season and so far this season as well. Didn’t put a foot wrong last season.
